Microblogging services nformation and express opinions pro by vide a novel and popular communication scheme for Web users to share publishing short posts, which usually reflect the users' daily life. We can thus model the users' daily status and interests according to their posts. Because of the high complexity and the large amount of the content of the microblog users' posts, it is necessary to provide a quick summary of the users' life status, both for personal users and commercial services. It is non-trivial to summarize the life status of microblog users, particularly when the summary is conducted over a long period. In this paper, we present a compact interactive visualization prototype, LifeCircle, as an efficient summary for exploring the long-term life status of microblog users. The radial visualization provides multiple views for a given microblog user, including annual topics, monthly keywords, monthly sentiments, and temporal trends of posts. We tightly integrate interactive visualization with novel and state-of-the-art microblogging analytics to maximize their advantages. We implement LifeCircle on Sina Weibo, the most popular microblogging service in China, and illustrate the effectiveness of our prototype with various case studies. A new image compression system based on quadtreepartition and reversible integer time-domain lapped transform(RTDLT) as core transform technology is proposed. The system obtained transformation region of different sizes through quadtree partition to remove the correlation between the pixels by utilizing features of image regions. The performance of reversible integer discrete cosine transform(RDCT) was improved with the method of quadtree partition. Superior performance can be achieved in most cases than the fixed block RTDLT and RDWT about the rate-distortion and subjective visual quality.

Datacenter networks suffer unpredictable performance due to a lack of application level bandwidth guarantees. A lot of attentions have been drawn to solve this problem such as how to provide bandwidth guarantees for Virtualized Machines (VMs), proportional bandwidth share among tenants, and high network utilization under peak traffic. However, existing solutions fail to cope with highly dynamic traffic in datacenter networks. In this paper, we consider the effects of large numbers of short flows and massive bursty traffic in the datacenter, and design a novel distributed rate allocation algorithm based on the Logistic model under the control-theoretic framework. The theoretical analysis and experimental results using OpenFlow show that our algorithm not only guarantees the bandwidth for VMs, but also provides fast convergence to efficiency and fairness, and smooth response to bursty traffic.

Software testing is one of the most important techniques used to assure the quality of software service. An intricate issue in software testing is the determination of test orders for the integration test of classes, known as the class integration and test order (CITO) problem. The determination of such order has an influence on the cost of created stubs for classes, which is an error-prone and costly process. To minimize the cost of stubbing, this paper describes a coupling measure technique to estimate the complexity of each test stub, and presents a graph-based heuristic algorithm of removing node with the highest weights to break cycles for minimizing overall complexity of stubbing. Also, an adjacency matrix and depth-first search for finding all the paths is presented. Simulation experimental results show that the overall test stub complexity decreased which greatly improves test efficiency and reduces the test cost to some extent compared with others.

Control over surface plasmons (SPs) is essential in a variety of cutting-edge applications, such as highly integrated photonic signal processing systems, deep-subwavelength lasing, high-resolution imaging, and ultrasensitive biomedical detection. Recently, asymmetric excitation of SPs has attracted enormous interest. In free space, the analog of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) in metamaterials has been widely investigated to uniquely manipulate the electromagnetic waves. In the near field, we show that the dark mode coupling mechanism of the classical EIT effect enables an exotic and straightforward excitation of SPs in a metasurface system. This leads to not only resonant excitation of asymmetric SPs but also controllable exotic SP focusing by the use of the Huygens-Fresnel principle. Our experimental findings manifest the potential of developing plasmonic metadevices with unique functionalities.

Clustering is a semi-supervised or unsupervised algorithm for classifying a set of data according tounderlying characteristics or similarity. There are many different algorithms for different applications. Each algorithm has its advantages tosome special fields. As tothe data obtained from an automotive LUX- LIDAR, the existing algorithms are failed tocluster them accurately or efficiently. Itis because that the distances between points are non-uniform and the number of objects is unknown and the object's shape and size are arbitrary. Then, we propose a new clustering algorithm for this kind of LIDAR's sparse data. In the algorithm we introduce a variant described as adaptive attractor. The adaptive attractor is determined by the datasetitself. It determines which class the point belongs to. Compared tothe existing clustering algorithm, the advantage of the algorithm lies in the following:i) itis able toclassify object with arbitrarily shape and size;ii) the object's number in the ROI is unknown;iii) similarities between data features of different objects are not fixed;iv) its time complexity is low;v) itis simple.
