High Order Finite Difference Hermite WENO Fixed-Point Fast Sweeping Method for Static Hamilton-Jacobi Equations

In this paper, we combine the nonlinear HWENO reconstruction in [43] andthe fixed-point iteration with Gauss-Seidel fast sweeping strategy, to solve the staticHamilton-Jacobi equations in a novel HWENO framework recently developed in [22].The proposed HWENO frameworks enjoys several advantages. First, compared withthe traditional HWENO framework, the proposed methods do not need to introduceadditional auxiliary equations to update the derivatives of the unknown function φ.They are now computed from the current value of φ and the previous spatial derivatives of φ. This approach saves the computational storage and CPU time, which greatlyimproves the computational efficiency of the traditional HWENO scheme. In addition,compared with the traditional WENO method, reconstruction stencil of the HWENOmethods becomes more compact, their boundary treatment is simpler, and the numerical errors are smaller on the same mesh. Second, the fixed-point fast sweeping methodis used to update the numerical approximation. It is an explicit method and doesnot involve the inverse operation of nonlinear Hamiltonian, therefore any HamiltonJacobi equations with complex Hamiltonian can be solved easily. It also resolves someknown issues, including that the iterative number is very sensitive to the parameterε used in the nonlinear weights, as observed in previous studies. Finally, to furtherreduce the computational cost, a hybrid strategy is also presented. Extensive numerical experiments are performed on two-dimensional problems, which demonstrate thegood performance of the proposed fixed-point fast sweeping HWENO methods.

CodeIF-Bench: Evaluating Instruction-Following Capabilities of Large Language Models in Interactive Code Generation

Large Language Models (LLMs) have demonstrated exceptional performance in code generation tasks and have become indispensable programming assistants for developers. However, existing code generation benchmarks primarily assess the functional correctness of code generated by LLMs in single-turn interactions, offering limited insight into their capabilities to generate code that strictly follows users’ instructions, especially in multi-turn interaction scenarios. In this paper, we introduce CodeIF-Bench, a benchmark for evaluating LLMs’ instruction-following capabilities in interactive code generation. Specifically, CodeIF-Bench incorporates nine types of verifiable instructions aligned with the real-world software development requirements, which can be independently and objectively validated through specified test cases, facilitating the evaluation of instruction-following capability in multi-turn interactions. We evaluate nine prominent LLMs using CodeIF-Bench, and the experimental results reveal a significant disparity between their basic programming capability and instruction-following capability, particularly as task complexity, context length, and the number of dialogue rounds increase. The non-Hermitian skin effect has been applied in multiple ***,there are relatively few models in the field of thermal diffusion that utilize the non-Hermitian skin effect for achieving thermal ***,we propose two non-Hermitian Su-Schrieffer-Heeger(SSH)models for thermal regulation:one capable of achieving edge states,and the other capable of achieving corner states within the thermal *** analyzing the energy band structures and the generalized Brillouin zone,we predict the appearance of the non-Hermitian skin effect in these two ***,we analyze the time-dependent evolution results and assess the robustness of the *** results indicate that the localized thermal effects of the models align with our *** a word,this work presents two models based on the non-Hermitian skin effect for regulating the thermal field,injecting vitality into the design of non-Hermitian thermal diffusion systems.

The verification of security protocol implementations is notoriously difficult and important. In this paper, combining with the model learning using Tamarin, a formal verification tool of protocol specification, a formal verification method for security protocol implementations is proposed. We extract state machine information from protocol implementations by model learning, and determine suspicious paths in the finite-state machines by cross-validation between different implementations of the same protocol;and then verify whether the suspicious paths violate the security properties of the protocol using Tamarin. It can be used to detect logical errors in protocol implementations and avoid relying on expert experience to make compliance rules from protocol documents when using model checking tools. The effectiveness of this method is demonstrated by the vulnerability detection of the typical ChangeCipherSpec in the TLS protocol implementation. The method proposed can help developers to develop more robust implementations of security protocols. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

A basic problem of quantum computing is how to effectively express classical data in quantum systems. This problem is called state preparation problem, and the process of preparing quantum states is called coding. In this paper, the classical data of matrix is transformed into quantum states in the form of amplitude coding and simulated. This paper first introduces the detailed process of matrix transformation into the linear combination of quantum ground state, then designs a quantum circuit model to realize amplitude coding according to the idea of binary tree model and quantum random walk algorithm, and finally simulates the three matrices on IBM quantum cloud platform, and analyzes and introduces many situations. The experimental results verify the feasibility of converting the matrix into quantum states by amplitude coding, analyze the causes of errors in the experimental process, and put forward the corresponding solutions. This paper introduces in detail the whole process of matrix conversion to quantum states and the construction of quantum circuits for simulation. Compared with the existing experiments, the quantum circuits constructed in this paper are shorter in length, less in number of quantum gates, and more versatile. © 2022 Association for computing Machinery.

To solve the multi-platform user association problem of complex trajectory matching process and high time cost in cross-platform association positioning of instant messaging users, and at the same time make full use of the information in user trajectories, this paper proposes a supervised learning-based cross-platform instant messaging user association positioning method. The algorithm firstly places probes in the area where the target may appear to obtain user information;then gets user trajectories through the obtained user distance information and time information;selects user features through the classification algorithm of supervised learning, and designs a cross-platform instant messaging user association localization method based on supervised learning, so as to increase the association efficiency and accuracy of cross-platform instant messaging user association. The method conducts specific experiments for the most commonly used instant messaging tools in China, WeChat and Stranger users, and the results show that the method can achieve efficient and reliable association for these two types of instant messaging users. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Mechanical Properties and Degradation Mechanism of Coral Aggregate Seawater Concrete Exposed to Different Marine Environments

The potential application of coral aggregates in island projects has received continued attention. Durability of concrete exposed to marine environment is a critical factor in structural design. In this paper, the mechanical properties and degradation mechanism of Coral Aggregate Seawater Concrete (CASC) exposed to different marine environments were investigated. A laboratory accelerated corrosion experiment was designed to simulate three kinds of immersion conditions, namely Full Immersion zone (FI), Semi-Immersion zone (SI) and Salt Spray zone (SS). The effects of immersion conditions and corrosion times on the mass loss, dynamic elastic modulus, porosity, and compressive strength were studied. The results show that CASCs in all three immersion conditions exhibited degradation in mechanical properties as the corrosion time increased. At the same corrosion time, CASC in the Salt Spray zone (SS-CASC) experienced the most severe corrosion degradation, while CASC in the Full Immersion zone (FI-CASC) experienced the slightest. Moreover, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) tests were conducted to analyze the degradation mechanism of CASC. XRD and SEM results indicate Friedel's salt, ettringite, gypsum, and magnesium hydroxide are the main corrosion products of CASC exposed to the marine environment. In addition, the presence of hydration effects in the CASC system during the early stage increases the strength, and the expansion of ettringite and Friedel's salt during the later stage cracks the matrix and leads to a decrease in strength. Finally, a mechanism-based model and an empirical formula for the prediction of compressive strength of CASC were proposed. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Magnetoresistance (MR) oscillations serve as a hallmark of intrinsic quantum behavior, traditionally observed only in conducting systems. Here we report the discovery of MR oscillations in an insulating system, the vertical junctions of CrPS4 which is a two-dimensional A-type antiferromagnetic semiconductor. Systematic investigations of MR peaks under varying conditions, including electrode materials, magnetic field direction, temperature, voltage bias, and layer number, elucidate a correlation between MR oscillations and spin-canted states in CrPS4. Experimental data and analysis point out the important role of the in-gap electronic states in generating MR oscillations, and we propose that spin selected interlayer hopping of localized defect states may be responsible for it. Our findings not only illuminate the unusual electronic transport in CrPS4 but also underscore the potential of van der Waals magnets for exploring interesting phenomena.
