The results of traditional traffic status analysis are mostly single values,whose accuracy can’t be determined;fuzzy c-means clustering(FCM)algorithm based on fuzzy theory can calculate the clustering center of plenty data quickly and easily;linguistic dynamic systems could describe the dynamic rules of complex systems in the language *** this paper,membership functions are decided by FCM;result of a specific time period taken as one example is obtained;it’s discussed that linguistic dynamic analysis of traffic status in different period within a day by the same method.

It is well known that vertical take-off and landing(VTOL) aircraft system is a complex multi-variable nonlinear system with large disturbances. In order to control the VTOL aircraft system ef ciently, it is necessary to explore new optimal control methods to stabilize the system states. In this paper, we apply dual heuristic programming(DHP) to design the optimal controller for VTOL aircraft system. As a framework of approximate dynamic programming(ADP) algorithm, DHP consists of three modules: model, critic and actor. The critic module output partial derivatives of cost function with respect to state. It has many advantages such as good dynamics, fast convergence rate, and high control resolution. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of optimal controller for VTOL aircraft system based on the DHP algorithm.

In this paper, we propose LinedCut: a novel method for interactive image segmentation which requires only a single line drawing to identify the object of interest in the image. The handy interaction mode can address the problem of object scale very well. Our approach consists of the following three steps: first, a given image is over-segmented into superpixels using superpixel algorithm; secondly, a merging technique based on bag-of-color feature and k-means is applied to merge similar adjacent superpixel pairs; finally, a graph-cut based approach which exploits user interaction information is introduced to get the final segmentation result. Despite its simplicity, we show that the LinedCut method is able to achieve a performance comparable to the state-of-the-art. The method can be easily developed by replacing any one method among the three steps with other methods.

In the Still-to-Video (S2V) face recognition, each subject is enrolled with only few high resolution images, while the probe is video clips of complex variations. As faces present distinct characteristics under different scenarios, recognition in the original space is obviously inefficient. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a novel discriminant analysis method to learn separate mappings for different scenario patterns (still, video), and further pursue a common discriminant space for the cross-scenario samples. To maximize the intra-individual correlation of samples in the mapping space, we formulate the learning objective by incorporating the intra-class compactness and the inter-class dispersion. The gradient descend algorithm is used to get the optimal solution. Experimental results on the COX-S2V dataset demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method and remarkable superiority over state-of-art methods.

In this paper, a novel dual iterative Q-learning algorithm is developed to solve the optimal battery management and control problems in smart residential environments. The main idea is to use adaptive dynamic programming (ADP) technique to obtain the optimal battery management and control scheme iteratively for residential energy systems. In the developed dual iterative Q-learning algorithm, two iterations, including external and internal iterations, are introduced, where internal iteration minimizes the total cost of power loads in each period and the external iteration makes the iterative Q function converge to the optimum. For the first time, the convergence property of iterative Q-learning method is proven to guarantee the convergence property of the iterative Q function. Finally, numerical results are given to illustrate the performance of the developed algorithm.

Data-Based Characteristics Analysis for Linear Discrete-Time systems

In this paper, we develop data-based methods to analyze the characteristics of linear discrete-time systems, which have unknown parameter matrices. These characteristics include output controllability, asymptotic stability of the equilibrium point, bounded-input bounded- state stability, and bounded-input bounded-output stability. Our methods only use measured state and output data to verify the system properties. They are direct analysis methods and do not need to identify the unknown parameter matrices. These data-based methods not only can avoid identification errors, but also have lower computational complexity than traditional model-based analysis approaches.

Implementing 3-D high maneuvers with a novel biomimetic robotic fish

This paper is devoted to the exploration of three-dimensional (3-D) maneuvers using a free-swimming fishlike robot. For the sake of a better maneuverability, an Esox lucius robotic fish consisting of a yawing head, two degrees of freedom pectoral mechanism and multilink body joints together with a caudal fin is developed. With full consideration of both mechanical configuration and propulsive principles of the robotic fish, detailed analysis and viable approaches to perform serval high maneuvers involving rotational maneuvers and translational maneuvers are presented. Based on the feedback of turning angles measured by an onboard six-axis gyroscope, the robotic fish achieves various agile and swift motions. Specifically, according to the C-start of Esox lucius , a flexible and wide-range yaw turn up to 360° is attained. Under the propulsive forces and moments from pectoral fins with symmetric or asymmetric pitching and heaving attack angles, the robotic fish can agilely flip in a pitch style and roll a 360° rotation around the swimming direction. Moreover, two types of backward swimming separately employing pectoral fins and body undulation are also accomplished. The experimental results verify the remarkable maneuverability of the developed robotic fish and the effectiveness of approaches presented for the maneuver control.

Symbolic Execution is a key and useful technology in current refinement software test, but there still exists some problems such as space explosion. In order to mitigate this problem and improve the ability for detecting vulnerabilities, this paper presents the improving guide-based vulnerability detection with hybrid symbolic execution, which aims to test suspicious objects. This method conducts path traversal with a hybrid symbolic execution model, which alternates between dynamic and static symbolic execution, and verify whether it is vulnerability through summarizing the characteristics of vulnerabilities and generating a constraint expression. Experimental result shows that this method can successfully detect errors in 56 seconds, which exceeds any other modern mainstream symbolic execution tools including CUTE, KLEE, S2E and Cloud9. Compared with CUTE, this method alleviates the problem of space explosion. Besides, this papaer successfully verifies the vulnerabilities of OpenSSL and some other commonly used software.
