The ability to apply knowledge is one of the most important abilities for university students. In the paper, it introduces that how to foster the ability in the teaching of engineering drawing course, and presents some views about and exploration of the reform of the engineering drawing course for cultivating engineers with modern consciousness and innovation quality. In accordance with the standards of engineering education accreditation, based on the idea of Conceive-design-Implement-Operate (CDIO), ideological and political of curriculum is merged into the course. The course reform better improve the quality of engineering education, lay a solid foundation of the specialty, and cultivate students' spatial thinking ability. At the same time, the course reform help students have a more comprehensive understanding to product-formation process, and then enhance students' sense of macro control of products. Combined with the characteristic of the engineering education accreditation and the CDIO in the teaching syllabus, curriculum structure, teaching methods and experiments are reformed. Following the pace of technological development, starting from stimulating students' interest in learning, integrating a 3D printing project into the teaching reform of engineering drawing is explored. There are two different level of introducing 3D printing into the course. They are shallow introduction and deep participation in producing a product by 3D printing. In the teaching mode of deep integration, students participate in the whole process of product design, modeling, 3D printing and all other 3D printing links. The implementation of this model is conducive to arousing students' interest in learning, giving free reign to their subjective initiative, enabling students to enjoy the learning process. Finally, the teaching objectives are realized, and their innovative ability are improved. © 2023 ACM.

Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) technology provides a convenient and efficient power supply solution for mobile devices. The utilization of constant current (CC) and constant voltage (CV) control in WPT systems proves valuable for charging battery applications. This paper presents a novel WPT system with CC and CV output characteristics, employing a switching topology. Specifically, the LCC-S and LCC-P topologies are applied and rigorously simulated. The proposed MCR-WPT system’s output characteristics in both CC and CV modes are meticulously validated using Saber software. The simulation results distinctly demonstrate the system’s capability to achieve CC and CV outputs within a varying load resistance range of 5Ω to 30Ω, thus conclusively establishing the efficacy of the topology switching technology.

Remote online experimental system is the inevitable trend of experimental teaching in the future. Compared with the traditional offline experimental mode, the online experimental system has better operability and more intuitive teaching significance. It can carry out experiments anytime and anywhere without many actual environmental restrictions, saving the time of teachers and students. The number of students in an online class is far more than the number of offline experiments, which can improve teachers' teaching efficiency and teaching quality. This paper will start from an experimental example, design the simulation system based on Automation Studio (AS) and build the actual system based on WS290 hydraulic experimental rig, and then design the image recognition remote control program, and let users achieve the purpose of experimental teaching and control through the program. © 2023 ACM.

To solve the problem of huge cost of human and material resources when sorting coins in banks, shopping malls and bus companies. A coin sorting device is first proposed and designed based on structural optimization design. The novel device can automatically sort coins and save a lot of labor. The structure of the machine is designed ingeniously, and the function of layer-by-layer coin sorting is realized through the cooperation among slopes of between different sieve plates. The machine has the advantages of low cost, stable operation and reliable performance, which effectively realizes coin sorting. In addition, the design and machine provide a novel research direction on coin classification and sorting. © 2021, Politechnica University of Bucharest. All rights reserved.

In recent years, with the continuous development of China's hydropower projects, Pelton turbines are gradually being valued, and the focus of development has shifted from plain areas to plateau areas. Environmental impacts such as high altitude, water temperature, and high sediment content in the plateau area have caused serious interference to equipment that originally worked in a stable environment, for example, the failure of the cooperation between the parts of the turbine and the mutual seizure, the increased wear of the nozzle needle, the decrease of the flow rate and the water outlet speed of the nozzle, and the decrease of the air pressure in the plateau environment lead to the change of the flow state of the nozzle. In view of the above problems, this paper puts forward the design scheme of impulse turbine test-bed, using the method of changing specific speed to determine the basic parameters of impulse turbine unit, so as to eliminate the influence of plateau environment on the normal operation of turbine, obtain the efficiency condition of model experiment under low ambient pressure, and improve the operation efficiency and reliability of turbine unit. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. Even if the exact motor parameters are known, the MTPA strategy cannot obtain precise maximum torque per ampere (MTPA) points under large current amplitude because the partial derivative of inductance to current is ignored in the modeling process. In view of this, the MTPA mathematical model considering the partial derivative of inductance to current is established in this paper, and the MTPA point tracking error caused by ignoring the partial derivative in the modeling process based on Ferrari method is analyzed. Then, an offline-online combined method for calculating the partial derivative term is proposed to compensate the MTPA tracking error. On this basis, an MTPA control strategy based on Ferrari method considering the partial derivative of inductance to current is proposed. Experiment to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2024 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.

Accurate fault diagnosis of planetary gearboxes (PGs) is crucial for preventing equipment failures and extending their lifespan. To enhance the efficiency and accuracy of PG fault diagnosis, this paper proposes a novel method integrating intrinsic time scale decomposition (ITD) with convolutional neural network (CNN). The proposed method leverages the demodulation capability of ITD to decompose and reconstruct the original signal, effectively removing irrelevant noise and isolating core fault features, and the learning ability of CNN to accurately identify the fault features. Compared to methods relying on CNN only, the proposed method not only improves the computational efficiency but also achieves higher fault diagnosis accuracy.

Focusing on the pick-and-place operation in the electronic, packaging, and other light industries, this paper proposed a new type 3T1R (T-Translation, R-Rotation) high-speed parallel robot with two limbs. Compared with other 4-DOF high-speed parallel robots with four limbs, its structure is simpler while the working space is larger, such that the potential for cheaper usage in the industry is achieved. The robot's kinematic analysis and trajectory planning, including key aspects, are also outlined here. Firstly, the robot's closed-loop constraint equation is established using the vector chain method. The displacement, velocity, and acceleration models are derived, and the Jacobian matrix is obtained. On this basis, the gate shape trajectory is planned using the 3-4-5 polynomial motion rule, such that the displacement, velocity, and acceleration of the driving joint are obtained using the kinematic models above. Ultimately, the accuracy of the kinematic models is confirmed by comparing the theoretical outcomes with the simulations carried out in SolidWorks. The study presented in this paper establishes a firm basis for the dimensional integration and the creation of a physical model of the robot.
