In the field of railway transportation, with the continuous improvement of train running speed and the continuous increase of operating mileage, it becomes particularly important to ensure the safety and integrity of small-target infrastructure along the railway train. Although many small-target detection methods have been proposed, the research on small-target infrastructure detection along rail trains is very rare. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a small-target infrastructure detection network with spatial tracking and multi-level feature extraction based on Yolov8n. The experimental results show that ST-YOLO has a 3.6% mAP improvement on the OSDaR23 dataset compared to the baseline Yolov8n, and shows significant advantages over other state-of-the-art methods.

In order to realize a multi-channel exhalation detection device with large dynamic range and high precision, a well designed signal processing and sampling circuit is essential for gas sensors. In this paper, a particular circuit is designed to meet above requirement. The proposed circuit uses a constant current source to achieve linear transformation of resistance value and output voltage, and uses a voltage follower for impedance transformation to minimize the impact of the AD acquisition on the front-end circuit. Since the gas sensor can be regarded as a variable resistor, the proposed circuit is tested with variable resistors varying from 10k$\Omega$ to 50M$\Omega$, over three orders of magnitude. In order to increase the sensitivity of the gas sensors, it is need to heat the sensor. Then a multi-channel heating circuit is designed with independent adjustable heating current in each channel, which can be controlled with multi-channel PWM signal from the MCU. With simulation and experiment, the performance of the proposed circuit has been verified to be excellent. Furthermore, the circuit has the advantage of being used in various fields.

Droplet actuation simplifies the handling of various reagents or samples and can be applied to a wide range of fields, including chemistry, biology, biomedical, and others. This paper presents a programmable droplet control system based on a magnetoelastic membrane and electromagnetic pillar array. Different magnetic blocks with different magnetization directions were designed on the silicone rubber membrane, and the magnetoelastic membrane deformed under the magnetic field generated by the array of electromagnetic pillars. By combining the gravitational forces of the droplet and the deformation of the magnetic membranes, the motion of the droplet can be controlled. Furthermore, the surface of membranes was ablated with a laser machine to impart superhydrophobic properties. The simulation results show that with the different magnetic fields, the droplet can move lengthwise, widthwise, and diagonally in the horizontal plane, and multiple droplets can be merged and mixed. In contrast to the traditional droplet control method, the droplet programmable movement control system utilizing superhydrophobic magnetoelastic membranes and an electromagnetic pillar array has better stationarity, flexibility and does not affect the basic properties of the droplets. © 2022 IEEE.

In this paper,a numerical investigation into a spike-type rotating stall process is carried out considering a transonic compressor rotor(the NASA Rotor 37).Through solution of the Unsteady Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes(URANS)equations,the evolution process from an initially circumferentially-symmetric near-stall flow field to a stable stall condition is simulated without adding any artificial *** the near-stall operating point,periodic fluctuations are present in the overall flow of the ***,the blockage region in the channel periodically shifts from middle span to the *** fluctuating condition does not directly lead to stall,while the full-annulus calculation eventually evolves to ***,a kind of“early disturbance”feature appears in the dynamic signals,which propagates forward ahead of the rotor.

To improve the trajectory optimization efficiency of robot manipulators, this paper proposes a novel approach for trajectory optimization and control of manipulators based on multistage nonlinear model predictive control (msNLMPC). This approach is realized by using a neural state space model as the prediction model of nonlinear model predictive control (NLMPC). The simulation results show that the actual trajectory of the manipulator in our proposed scheme coincides with the desired trajectory. The manipulator achieves the control task of following the optimal trajectory. Our proposed method improves the trajectory optimization efficiency of the robot manipulator.

According to the parameters of the ABB-IRB2400 robot model, the D-H parameter method is used to establish the robot’s linkage coordinate system and determine the parameter values. The coordinate transformation matrix06T of IRB2400 robot is obtained through forward kinematics analysis, and the inverse kinematics transformation method is used to solve the joint variables of the robot. The feasibility and correctness of the forward and inverse kinematics of the robot are verified by modeling the robot entity and importing ADAMS simulation analysis software. Combining MoveIt’s robot kinematics solver and RRT algorithm motion planning library, RVIZ is used to verify the feasibility of correlation trajectory algorithm for linear and arc interpolation trajectory planning of robot arm, which provides a foundation for weld grinding robot trajectory planning under complex working conditions. © 2022, Politechnica University of Bucharest. Film cooling combined with internal impingement cooling is one of the most effective technologies to protect the gas turbine vanes and blades from the hot gas. In this study, conjugate heat transfer CFD study was undertaken for a flat plate with combined film cooling and impingement cooling. An experiment on conjugate heat transfer of a flat plate with combined film and impingement cooling was performed to validate the code. Then the effects of several parameters including Biot number, blowing ratio, film hole shape and impingement hole diameter on the overall cooling effectiveness were numerically studied. The results show that for a specific combined cooling scheme and a given blowing ratio, the coolant potential can be reasonably allocated to the internal and the external cooling to achieve the overall cooling effectiveness. As the blowing ratio increases, the overall cooling effectiveness trends to reach a maximum value. For different film hole geometrical, the maximum values of the overall cooling effectiveness at high blowing ratio approximate to the same value. At a given mass flow rate of coolant, the increase of the impingement hole diameter leads to the reduction of the overall cooling effectiveness.

In the field of computer-aided medicine, automated surgical gesture recognition is an important research direction. Its main applications include automated skills assessment, intraoperative guidance, and education and training systems. Current research has focused on robotic surgery, and there is less research on surgical gestures for open surgery. Therefore, in this study, a new simulated open surgery dataset was developed, and a series of surgical gestures for open surgery were defined for closure the abdomen surgery with the cooperation of professional doctors. In addition, this paper uses the classical algorithm 3DCNN and SlowFast model in the field of action recognition to perform offline recognition of surgical gestures for open surgery on the dataset. 3DCNN uses R3D and R(2+1)D models. The experimental results show that on the self-built open surgical dataset, the R3D model has the best surgical gesture recognition results, with an accuracy rate of 90.4%, a precision rate of 90.5%, and a recall rate of 90.0%.

Based on the theory of crystal plasticity, coupled with dislocation and lath hardening models, this paper establishes a crystal plasticity finite element model describing the high temperature creep of P92 steel. Open source software was used to generate lath models with an average size of 350nm, 650nm and 950nm to explore the effect of lath coarsening on the high-temperature creep behavior of P92 steel. The results show that the roughening of the slats increases the rate of creep deformation, resulting in a decrease in the service life of the material. Observing the slat model, it can be seen that the roughening of the slats enlarges the numerical gradient of stress and strain, and aggravates the overall plastic strain of the model. The coarsening of the slats accelerates the movement of dislocations, causing the density of movable dislocations to increase, and at the same time the shear strain amplitude of the slip system increases, thereby reducing the hardening behavior of the material. © Journal of Physics: Conference Series 2021.

With the rapid development of railway traffic system, real-time semantic segmentation plays a crucial role in railway track scene monitoring. However, most of the existing methods use lightweight convolution to reduce the computational complexity, which results in reduced accuracy. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a real-time semantic segmentation network called TICNet, which is specifically used for accurate segmentation of railway track scenes. TICNet uses a novel three-branch structure designed for efficient feature extraction and accurate segmentation. Results on the RailSem19 dataset show that TICNet has a segmentation accuracy of 62.36% mIoU with an inference speed of 81.2 FPS, which is significantly better than many existing methods.
