Aiming at the problems of flare gas flow monitoring on offshore oil platform, a flare gas flow measurement system is designed. This system is integrated in the whole flare control system and reaches the effective monitoring of flare gas flow. Besides it adopts ultrasonic flow-meters for the more accurate flow-meter data and adopts hot-cap method for the realization of being installed without halting production. Results indicate that the design could offshore oil platform improve the efficiency and safety of production in offshore oil platform. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

This paper studies the permanent-magnet synchronous motor model, taking advantage of enhanced feedback control to realize time-continuous chaos system, with further application of the method in each equation to analyze the effect of the control systems according to the former theory which claims the Hopf theory. The next step is to prove the experimental results consisted with theory analysis and calculation results. The simulation on matlab demonstrates that this method not only improves the quality of chaos but also meets the practical demand. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Dynamic measurement of explosion containment vessel deformation for explosive experiment is obtained using laser doppler effect. The system is based on optical heterodyning technologies, and uses half wave plate, quarter wave plate, polarization beam splitter and acousto-optic modulator to improve the intensity of doppler signal and signal-noise-ratio. Short time fourier transform and energy centrobaric correction method using hamming window is applied to improve the signal processing speed and the accuracy. The experimental results of explosive container are presented under 20g TNT explosion. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

According to the characteristics of pneumatic marking system, and the typing path was seen as a TSP problem. After comparing the Dijkstra optimization algorithm of marking path results, and applying the genetic algorithm (GA) to analysis, research, and solve the optimization problem, reasonable to get print needle typing path. In this case, printing mark time was shorten as much as possible. It was proved by MATLAB simulation that the study can solve the problem of path optimization and improve the efficiency of marking greatly. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Today the existing image processing systems widely used standard definition resolution. Which is not enough distinct. High definition (HD) and intelligence gradually become the developing trend of the image acquisition and processing system. Motion detection plays an important role in video surveillance system. The sign distribution features will be covered up by the use of the absolute differential image. In this article, a method to determine the motion direction of moving objects by using the sign distribution features in the differential image of two consecutive frames is proposed. To extract the characteristics of the moving object regions, Other parts as the background image is still. The transmission should been stopped, if there is no moving object. These should save storage space and reduce the demand for network speed. Experimental results show that algorithm of the method is suitable for computer processing. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Usually the heat exchange station mainly adopts human monitoring which does not only waste human resources but also has many hidden dangers. On some control parameter adjustment, manual adjustment has a certain deviation and it is difficult to achieve the ideal running effect. The paper uses PIC single chip microcomputer as the controller core and transmits the collecting data to the monitoring center through GPRS - Internet network. This real-time monitoring system can effectively solve the problem of uneven heating caused by artificial regulate and achieve long-distance wireless remote monitoring and automatic temperature adjustment. Localization is the basis for navigation of mobile robots. This paper focuses on key techniques of localization for mobile robots based on vision. Firstly, the specific measures and steps of the algorithm are analyzed and researched in depth. In the study, SIFT algorithm combined with epipolar geometry constraint is used on the environment feature point detection, matching and tracking. And the method of RANSAC combined with the least squares is used to obtain accurate results of the motion estimation. Then the necessary experiments are carried out to verify the correctness and effectiveness of algorithms. The experimental results verified the accuracy of the improved algorithm. © 2013 Trans Tech Publications Ltd, Switzerland.

The submitting of OPC (OLE for Process control) has promoted the progress of the data collection in process control and industrial automation, and formulated the industry standard for the process real-time data exchange. Aiming at the key problem of ensuring the use of application program as OPC client to link multi-remote OPC server and real-time collect process data in control system, OPC technology and the connection and access technology of multi-remote OPC server were introduced and analyzed in detail. This method has been successfully applied to develop the DCS I/O communication and control loop error test software, and provided better performance. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Friction and wear of the guideway is an important factor which affects its precision, the parameter which affects friction and wear performance is no single. Among them, surface precision of the guideway has a great influence on the wear. In this paper, Taylor Hobson roughness profilometer is used to measure the guideway specimen according to the principle of statistics, and then the surface topography assessment parameters are obtained. Based on those, the rough surface topography is characterized and statistical models with contact parameters are established. Contact models are analyzed by using simulation software Mat lathe results: the contact parameter values show linear growth trend as the distance decreasing, the values become smaller as the roughness increasing, but the trend increases corresponsive. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.
