A license plate location method based on plate texture and color is introduced. Connected domain method and template matching method are chosen to realize characters segmentation. Firstly, Canny edge detection and dilatation & erosion algorithm referred to morphological image processing are used to fuse the region with the similar texture features, and then color segmentation method is adopted with the fusion images to achieve plate location shearing. Secondly, characters segmentation is implemented with connected domain method. Finally, segmented characters are recognized with the template. Experiments show that the method is simple, easy and effective to carry out plate location and recognition.

Double-loop controlsystems of brushless DC motor (BLDCM) yield a combination of desired characteristics including simplified control structure, high speed accuracy, wide operating speed range and fast dynamic response. The current loop is very important for system performance. Its linearity is influenced by the accuracy of feedback current. The cost of detecting currents in three windings is higher, and most methods based on shunt-current reaction are nonlinear. An average current control method of sampling the dc-link current at the center of the Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) on-time interval can overcome the above limitations. Average stator current can be regulated by the average current control method. Simulation results demonstrate this method is very effective and can make systems obtain basically same performance compared with the method of detecting currents in three windings.

This paper proposes a method for verifying the pose and the type of different resistors mounted on a PCB. First, the pose of the resistor on the PCB is determined and missing resistors are detected by shape_based template matching. Then, the type of the resistor is extracted and compared to the known reference type by edge_based template matching. Finally, six types of resistors have been verified on 120 resistor images. Experiments have shown that the shape_based template can be used to determine the pose of the resistor even if it appears rotated and scaled. The proposed method can achieve the accuracy of 100% and average recognition time of 0.15 s .
