In this paper, a new hyper-chaotic system is generated by introducing a state variable into Chen system. This system contains five system parameters and two cross-product terms, can generate hyper-chaotic attractors with proper parameters regions. The theoretical analysis demonstrates that a Hopf bifurcation arises at zero equilibrium point. The basic dynamic properties of the proposed system are investigated via Lyapunov exponents spectrum and bifurcation diagram. Finally, the hyper-chaotic circuit is designed and realized by using the Multisim software, which confirms that the proposed system can be achieved.

Aimed at the characteristics of strong nonlinearity, uncertainty, time-variance and, strong coupling etc for AC electric arc furnace (EAF), and the traditional PID can not achieve desired control effect. The paper proposes a PID control algorithm based on optimized BP neural network using genetic algorithm, which is applied in electrode regulator systems of electric arc furnace to design the optimized controller. The algorithm optimizes the initial weights of BP neural network by using genetic algorithm firstly, and then adjusts the PID parameters by using BP neural network. The simulation indicates that the algorithm is feasible, and unit with intelligent PID controller has better accuracy and dynamic characteristics.

This paper makes finite element analysis of fire resistance under different connections for portal steel frames. Fire protection not apply on the secondary beam, there are two ways of girder-column's connection to calculate: beam connection, and pin connection. The results of the analysis indicate that the mechanical behavior of steel frames in fire conditions is dominated by the effects of thermal loading, thermal expansion and thermal gradient. The overall deformation of pin connection is larger than it of beam connection, and the stress suffered by beam structure is bigger than pin structure. When the overall beam steel frames' connection is taken by local pin connection, the stress of structure will reduce, helping to ensure strength and stability of steel structures. The deformation of the girder can be reduced when the beam connection is taken place by pin connection. The conclusion provides a reference for structural engineers on fire resistant design of steel frame.

The BP network has the disadvantages such as low learning efficiency, low speed of convergence, easily falling into the local minimum state, poor ability to adapt, ect. For PSO algorithm, it is fast for convergence, especially at the initial stage, simple for the computing, and is easy to implement. Compared with the genetic algorithms, it does have not the complex operations of hybrid codecs, mutation, so it is a good optimization algorithm. However, PSO algorithm also has some shortcomings it is more and more slow for convergence rate at the late evolution of the algorithm. In this paper, a new BP Neural Network based on improved Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is proposed. The convergence speed of this algorithm and the capacity of searching global extremum is increased through adjusting the adaptive capacity of learning factor. The simulation results illustrate that the improved PSO is superior to the standard BP algorithm and particle swarm optimization.
