Smart grid becomes the hot topic concerning future power grid development trend home and abroad in recent years. In this paper the background, concept, major characteristics, core technologies are described. According to the key technologies of smart grid, which include a strong and flexible network topology, integrated communication system, fast simulation and modeling, advanced metering infrastructure, demand side management, distributed generation integration, advanced distribution automation and power electronic equipments, the research of smart grid is analyzed in three aspects, consisting of distributed energy resource, fast simulation and decision-making techniques. In the end, some views of developing in terms of core technologies are presented.

Based on adaptive noise canceling technology, this paper improved the classic LMS algorithm ant got a fuzzy variable step-size LMS algorithm of harmonic current detection which uses the average estimation of error signal to control the updating of step-size by fuzzy inference. The algorithm has a fast response while ensuring high precision. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of this algorithm.

Wind farm modeling is an important research topic, but the traditional mechanism modeling method is difficult to get accurate models. However, performance of the neural network model is superior for identification and approximation of complex nonlinear systems. Especially, the BP network has been widely and successfully used in the engineering field. In this paper, an optimal design method is proposed to determine the PID coefficients for control discrete-time SISO LTI systems in order to improve the transient tracking performance. We analyzed the convergence of the scheme and its convergence condition is obtained in terms of the PID coefficients. Based on the model of a DC Motor, an illustrative example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed technique.

Multiple voltage stability incidents show that system dynamic components have a great impact on voltage stability. This article mainly analyzes and summarizes the impaction on voltage stability based on the bifurcation theory caused by dynamic characteristics of main components in the power system such as load characteristics, generator characteristics, OLTC and Static Var Compensator (SVC).It Proposes that we should make full use of bifurcation theory to enhance the influent study of these dynamic elements on voltage stability and there is a key research direction for future that we select multiple parameters from dynamic components to do multi-parameter research on voltage stability using bifurcation theory.

In this paper, a specific description of the principles and procedures about how to use PCA method is given, in the field of fault detection in industrial systems, based on the Tennessee-Eastman process. An improved PCA method is presented and a more precise model of the principal component is established. The simulation results show that the improved PCA has better performance, effectively reduce the missed alarm rate and enhance the sensitivity and robustness of faults detection systems. This article also summarized the cases about other deficiencies and improvement of PCA method, such as nonlinearity, adaptation and so on, which provides the corresponding solution ideas and improved programs of research, using PCA-based fault diagnosis method in variety of different industrial objects.
