This paper realized the establishment of grey model for the uncertain part in terms of the analysis of current loop model in permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) close-loop control system in order to acquire improvement of current tracking character. Based on this model and the combination of torque constant value Kt in online identified strategy, this algorithm could enhance the calculation veracity of Kt through improving voltage accuracy, which made toque control precision improved to some extent. Through the MATLAB software to carry through algorithm simulation, compared with traditional PID control method, the result indicated that adopting grey prediction model to put up compensation control was able to improve current tracking capability and to achieve higher accuracy for torque control. © 2009 IEEE.

A new method of non-destructive quality inspection of fruits was investigated based on multi-spectral imaging technology, and the system was also developed, which consists of lighting chamber multi-spectral light sources CCD cameras frame grabber and a computer. According to the basic color theory[1];multi-spectral images were abstained by this system, and analyzed using multi-spectral images fusion methods. It was found that the multi-spectral images had the highest recognition rate when the spectral bands of multi-spectral fusion images are red spectral band, blue spectral band, near infrared spectral band. After the feature extraction of the multi-spectral images, the fruits were classified according to size, shape, defects and other parameters. It was shown by the experiment that the accuracy of the fruits quality inspection can be achieved 90.25% using multi-spectral detection technology on non-destructive. ©2009 SPIE.

In the process of raisin production, there were a variety of color impurities, which needs be removed effectively. A new kind of efficient raisin color-sorting algorithm was presented here. First, the technology of image processing basing on the threshold was applied for the image pre-processing, and then the gray-scale distribution characteristic of the raisin image was found. In order to get the chromatic aberration image and reduce some disturbance, we made the flame image subtraction that the target image data minus the background image data. Second, Haar wavelet filter was used to get the smooth image of raisins. According to the different colors and mildew, spots and other external features, the calculation was made to identify the characteristics of their images, to enable them to fully reflect the quality differences between the raisins of different types. After the processing above, the image were analyzed by K-means clustering analysis method, which can achieve the adaptive extraction of the statistic features, in accordance with which , the image data were divided into different categories, thereby the categories of abnormal colors were distinct. By the use of this algorithm, the raisins of abnormal colors and ones with mottles were eliminated. The sorting rate was up to 98.6%, and the ratio of normal raisins to sorted grains was less than one eighth. ©2009 SPIE.

The unwrapped phase distribution on reference planes with different heights in grating project profilometry are analyzed and synthesized. Then a two-parameter second-order rational polynomial to express the uneven phases on every plane is proposed. A first-order Taylor series expansion is employed to obtain the polynomial coefficients of rational polynomial based on least-square iterative estimation method. By this method, phases on all the reference planes are retrieved precisely and extended to the full field. The results of experiences proved that the method not only can retrieve the phases distribution on the full field from parts reference planes, but geometrical parameter error, real reference plane profile error and random error are decreased, and coordinate measuring precision is also increased. © 2009 SPIE.

The paper proposes a novel demodulation method of fiber grating displacement sensing with applying dual grating structure. The linear tuning sensitive structure of isosceles triangle-shaped cantilever beam is designed which can be used to eliminate the influence from environmental temperature. The fiber grating is pasted in the cantilever top and under both sides. When the cantilever free end take place the displacement, this would generate strain which can make the gratings compression and tensile respectively, furthermore, cause the changes of bragg grating reflection wavelength. The changes of grating is caused by temperature influence in the same direction, and caused by stress change in the opposite direction. Therefore, the change of optical power caused by temperature was offset, that is, eliminate the influence from environmental temperature. When the free end has displacement or load, the grating on beam top surface was stretched, bragg wavelength drift to the long-wave direction, and the grating under the surface is compressed, which make wavelength drift to the short-wave direction. The changes of light intensity can be seen from the spectrogram. Using linear tuning properties without chirped of cantilever beam, micro-displacement in the free end can effective turned into the strain of equal intensity beam. The changes of bragg wavelength caused by strain can be shown in optical power meter, and would be transformed into voltage display through demodulation system. Therefore, displacement sensing information is derived indirect;the optical measurement of micro-displacement is realized. The experiment result shows the system sensitivity is 0.87mV/μm, and displacement resolution is 2.12nm/mm. © 2009 SPIE.

Omni-directional vision appears the definite significance since its advantage of acquiring all vision information simultaneously. In this paper, an integrated omni-directional vision tracker based on the configuration with CMOS, FPGA and DSP has been implemented. Fisheye lens is one of the most efficient ways to establish omni-directional vision systems, however, it appear with an unavoidable inherent distortion. An imaging system model which consists of fisheye-lens and the embedded tracker has been proposed. A novel beacon owning the feature of particular topology shape can be identified by the appropriative recognition processes. Particle filter has been programmed as an intersectional arithmetic structure which processes the same step of several particle filters simultaneously. We called it as Multiple Intersection Particle Filter. MIPF makes multi-targets tracking efficiently and successfully on embedded platform. A rectification technique based on equidistant projection theorem is used for correction some distorted image point. The localization method just employs the picture position of two objects to estimate the space position and orientation for AGV. After target recognition, vision tracking, rectification, and object positioning functions actualized on the embedded omni-directional vision tracker, autonomous navigation has been demonstrated on experimental AGV. © 2009 SPIE.

An improved unsupervised neural network of ART2 is proposed to judge the pattern of blast furnace states. In this method six variables viz. charging speed, air flow, air temperature, air pressure, permeability indices and Si composition of liquid iron are determined to express the blast furnace states in a smelting process. The values of these variables are gained from the slide windows in order to overcome their time-varying difficulty. The pattern of blast furnace states is classified by ART2’s competition learning and self steady mechanics. The simulation shows this method is effective. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2009.

The optical switch spatial division multiplexing sensing system is proposed by using wavelength division multiplexer and unbalanced Mach-Zehnder interferometer. controlled by an optical switch, fiber Bragg grating sensing system based on spatial division multiplexing was achieved when a broadband source illumines FBG sensor array. With an isosceles triangle cantilever beam to realize linear tuning of Bragg wavelength of fiber grating without chirping by adjusting the deflection of the free end, the system employs an unbalanced Mach-Zehnder interferometer to translate the FBG wavelength signal related the strain into phase signal. The wavelength division multiplexer is adopt to realize the demand of the change of different fiber Bragg grating wavelength. The strain can be recovered by measuring the phase change of the signal with signal processing circuit. With the characteristic of high resolution, wide measuring range, this sensing system has the capability of measuring static strain as well as dynamic strain. Experiment demonstrated that the sensing sensitivity of this system, which was with a resolution of 20 nepsiv, was 0.29deg/muepsiv.

According to the control requirement and actual project condition of three-phase high power factor rectifier, for the sake of eliminating inconstant switching frequency in the converter that brought on rather serious power supply harmonic pollution and shock damage of power devices and reducing difficulty of filter circuit design, based on these problems the constant switching frequency control algorithm adopting current hysteresis regulator was put forward. It combines their respective advance of current hysteresis control and constant switching frequency strategy, enhanced the system's dynamic response and well robust character, and minimized its switching loss. In terms of simulation results analysis, and construction of an experimental prototype based on DSP TMS320F2812, both of them verified the validity and superiority of the proposed algorithm.
