A Lightweight Collaborative Target Recognition Method for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Cluster

This paper aims to explore a reliable target recognition technique for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) clusters, and proposes a lightweight collaborative target recognition methods based on multiple viewpoints. In the proposed method, the UAVs are divided into the leaf node UAVs and the head node UAVs. Leaf node UAVs are used for multi-view image acquisition and image feature extraction by utilizing a lightweight feature extraction model. The head node UAVs realize efficient feature fusion from the collected image features by using graph convolutional network and graph coarsening techniques. Based on the above lightweight technologies, the proposed method can realize the efficient and accurate target recognition and reduce the demand for limited computing resources and communication resources in UAV clusters. Experimental results show that, compared with existing multi-view object recognition method, the proposed method has less computing cost and communication overhead while ensuring reliable recognition accuracy. © 2014 IEEE.

High mobility and non-independent and identically distributed (non-iid) data in the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) pose challenges for the convergence speed and accuracy of federated learning model training. Traditional federated learning approaches fail to account for the unique characteristics of local vehicle data, limiting the model performances. To address this, we propose a personalized hierarchical federated learning method tailored for heterogeneous IoV. Our approach customizes models for each vehicle, enhancing their performance on local data. We introduce a network-aware client selection method that dynamically chooses vehicle clients based on their spatiotemporal distribution and changing channel conditions. Additionally, our fine-grained personalized learning method leverages frequency domain analysis to extract and retain both fundamental and personalized knowledge from local model parameters. This allows us to build highly accurate personalized models suited to each vehicle's data characteristics. Experimental results show that our method improves model accuracy by up to 10.31% and reduces training time by up to 24.93% compared to the latest personalized federated learning algorithms. © 2025 IEEE.

Dual-view gaze target estimation in classroom environments has not been thoroughly explored. Existing methods lack consideration of depth information, primarily focusing on 2D image information and neglecting the latent 3D spatial context, which could lead to suboptimal transformation and cause the gaze cone to intersect with an incorrect object. This paper introduces a novel dual-view gaze target estimation method tailored for classroom settings, leveraging depth-enhanced spatial transformations. By formulating a depth-enhanced 2D space, our method uses depth-enhanced spatial transformation to accurately project students’ gaze cones to the teacher-oriented image. Additionally, we collected a dataset named DVSGE, specifically for student gaze target estimation in dual-view classroom images. Experimental results demonstrate significant performance improvements of 9.8% in AUC and 19.9% in L2-Distance for our method, surpassing existing methods.

In cloud storage,client-side deduplication is widely used to reduce storage and communication *** client-side deduplication,if the cloud server detects that the user’s outsourced data have been stored,then clients will not need to reupload the ***,the information on whether data need to be uploaded can be used as a side-channel,which can consequently be exploited by adversaries to compromise data *** this paper,we propose a new threat model against side-channel *** from existing schemes,the adversary could learn the approximate ratio of stored chunks to unstored chunks in outsourced files,and this ratio will affect the probability that the adversary compromises the data privacy through side-channel *** this threat model,we design two defense schemes to minimize privacy leakage,both of which design interaction protocols between clients and the server during deduplication checks to reduce the probability that the adversary compromises data *** analyze the security of our schemes,and evaluate their performances based on a real-world *** with existing schemes,our schemes can better mitigate data privacy leakage and have a slightly lower communication cost.

With an increasing demand for wireless communications, it is difficult for traditional communication technologies to achieve high-quality multi-channel wireless transmissions. Complex-amplitude metasurfaces provide an effective method to deal with this issue by jointly controlling the amplitude and phase of electromagnetic (EM) waves. However, the limitations of single-layer transmission efficiency and amplitude-phase coupling make it challenging to achieve multi-channel high-quality transmission and system integration. Here, a single-layer complex-amplitude metasurface design strategy for multi-channel high-quality transmission is proposed. The amplitude and phase of each transmission channel can be concurrently controlled by adjusting the structural parameters and rotation angles of the resonators. The metasurface successfully reconstructs different holograms in five transmission channels. All experimental results align well with the calculated and simulated results, demonstrating an innovative solution for multi-channel high-quality information transmission, with significant potential applications in the fields of wireless communications. © 2025 Optica Publishing Group.

In recent years, research has illuminated the potency of implicit data processing in enhancing user preferences. Nevertheless, barriers remain in breaking through the constraints of implicit information. This study aims to bridge this gap by firstly constructing a triangular stable node network model, tailored to manage implicit information with precision. Recognizing the challenge of pinpointing novel structures within large-scale graphs, we propose SLTSNN— a triangular stable node network based on self-supervised learning for personalized prediction. SLTSNN innovates by maximizing mutual information between graph-level and patch-level representations, while augmenting graph representations through extended enhanced representations. Additionally, it incorporates triangular data associations and introduces a triangular allocation attention network, which emphasizes strongly correlated preference features among similar users. Furthermore, SLTSNN employs contrastive learning to maximize mutual information between graph vectors and hidden representations, distinguishing between high-order global and local representations. The model’s effectiveness in enhancing user preferences and capturing new graph structures is evidenced by its performance on hit rate and normalized discounted cumulative gain metrics across three datasets.

Slot filling and intent detection are two highly correlated tasks in spoken language understanding (SLU). Recent SLU research attempts to explore zero-shot prompting techniques in large language models to alleviate the data scarcity problem. Nevertheless, the existing prompting work ignores the cross-task interaction information for SLU, which leads to sub-optimal performance. To solve this problem, we present the pioneering work of Cross-task Interactive Prompting (CroPrompt) for SLU, which enables the model to interactively leverage the information exchange across the correlated tasks in SLU. Additionally, we further introduce a multi-task self-consistency mechanism to mitigate the error propagation caused by the intent information injection. We conduct extensive experiments on the standard SLU benchmark and the results reveal that CroPrompt consistently outperforms the existing prompting approaches. In addition, the multi-task self-consistency mechanism can effectively ease the error propagation issue, thereby enhancing the performance. We hope this work can inspire more research on cross-task prompting for SLU.

Federated Graph Learning (FedGL) is an emerging Federated Learning (FL) framework that learns the graph data from various clients to train better Graph Neural networks(GNNs) model. Owing to concerns regarding the security of such framework, numerous studies have attempted to execute backdoor attacks on FedGL, with a particular focus on distributed backdoor attacks. However, all existing methods posting distributed backdoor attack on FedGL only focus on injecting distributed backdoor triggers into the training data of each malicious client, which will cause model performance degradation on original task and is not always effective when confronted with robust federated learning defense algorithms, leading to low success rate of attack. What's more, the backdoor signals introduced by the malicious clients may be smoothed out by other clean signals from the honest clients, which potentially undermining the performance of the *** address the above significant shortcomings, we propose a non-intrusive graph distributed backdoor attack(NI-GDBA) that does not require backdoor triggers to be injected in the training data. Our attack trains an adaptive perturbation trigger generator model for each malicious client to learn the natural backdoor from the GNN model downloading from the server with the malicious client's local data. In contrast to traditional distributed backdoor attacks on FedGL via trigger injection in training data, our attack on different datasets such as Molecules and Bioinformatics have higher attack success rate, stronger persistence and stealth, and has no negative impact on the performance of the global GNN model. We also explore the robustness of NI-GDBA under different defense strategies, and based on our extensive experimental studies, we show that our attack method is robust to current federated learning defense methods, thus it is necessary to consider non-intrusive distributed backdoor attacks on FedGL as a novel threat that requires custom de
