Focusing on the non-mechanical students' weak mechanical knowledge, a new cultivation mode founded on the outcome-oriented education (OBE) is suggested to improve the teaching effect for "Fundamentals of mechanical design". The teaching course contents are optimized to make students' learning process proceed simultaneously with project case study. The teaching methods of innovative project driven and problem-oriented are adopted. Students can be guide to change the passive learning mode by autonomous learning mode with the online learning resources. The innovative methods can be recommended to the process of curriculum design to reform the content. The course experiment has been changed into online and offline mixed teaching, so as to improve students' experimental practice time and cultivate their ability of integrating theory with practice, analyzing problems and solving problems. Finally, the formative evaluation mode with the learning results as the assessment index is adopted to improve the students' comprehensive ability. Compared with the control class, the experimental class has greatly improved the excellent rate and pass rate. In the questionnaire survey, the experimental class students have a higher recognition for the curriculum reform. © 2020 ACM.

In order to solve the problems of low flying efficiency, poor aerodynamic performance of wing and short flying time distance existing in the research of flapping wing aircraft, a kind of albatron-like flapping wing structure with higher flying efficiency is proposed in this paper. The functions of bird wing flutter, folding and gliding are realized by two degrees of freedom control respectively. First, the flying characteristics of albatross are analyzed and the flying characteristics suitable for albatross are summarized. Propose design requirements for bionic design objectives;The bionic structure design is carried out by referring to the physical structure of wing and the flight motion law, and the key parameters such as the size and angle of connecting rod mechanism are analyzed, calculated and optimized. A clamping mechanism is designed to achieve gear stuck in order to achieve gliding kinetic energy. The three-dimensional model of the flapping wing mechanism is built by solid works, and the motion analysis is carried out by using Motion plug-in. The analysis results of key-point parameters are output, which verifies the movement law and requirements of the mechanism to achieve the design objectives. © 2022 Institute of Physics Publishing. The trajectory prediction of the target vehicle can improve the perception ability of autonomous driving vehicles in the open world environment and is an essential technology for realizing high-level fully automatic driving. The traditional vehicle trajectory prediction model based on image input is sensitive to the image style of the dataset and has weak generalization ability. The prediction model based on intermediate features can overcome the problem of different dataset styles. However, there are relatively few explorations on building models based on intermediate semantic features. Inspired by the feature pyramid in image processing, this paper proposes an FPSP (Feature Pyramid network based on Skip connect for vehicle Prediction) network. By adding the pyramid feature branch, the original network is improved. The initial coarse information is hierarchically introduced into corresponding abstract high-dimensional features. Experiments on the KITTI dataset prove that FPSP achieves considerable improvement with only a slight increase in time consumption. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Cloud detection can address data quality and analytical accuracy issues caused by cloud cover in satellite imagery, significantly enhancing image usability. Existing cloud detection methods still have the problem of detecting a certain amount of ground and sea surface as clouds, as well as some cloud regions that are missed, resulting in a decrease in the accuracy of cloud detection. Aiming at the above problems, an interactive cloud detection method based on Dynamic Mode Decomposition is proposed. Based on the fact that clouds are constantly moving, the dynamic mode decomposition can be utilized to detect the characteristics of moving objects, and the dynamic clouds are detected, avoiding the detection of the ground and sea surface as clouds. Although static clouds rarely appear, to ensure the robustness of the algorithm, we design an interactive static cloud detection algorithm for the users, which solve the problem of missed detection and further improves the accuracy of cloud detection. To assess the effectiveness of the algorithm, the four different types of clouds of floccus, undulatus, vortex clouds, and stratocumulus are detected, the experimental outcomes demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the algorithm. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). The dissolving technique of ionic liquid (IL) was applied in extraction process of hydroxyapatite (HAp). Product HAp was extracted by IL choline chloride-urea (ChCl-Urea) dissolving cattle bone. The optimum conditions for regeneration process of cattle bone were determined by single factor, orthogonal and verification experiments. IR spectra of regenerated bone, undissolved bone and raw bone showed that the main groups of regenerated bone did not change. It was indicated that ionic liquid did not damage the bone collagen of raw bone, and the collagen was only dissolved by IL. IR spectrum of the product HAp revealed that its components were similar to those of the natural bone. SEM pattern showed that the crystal shape of the product HAp appeared rod-like shape mostly, and the crystal structure was relatively complete. XRD diffraction explained that there was no difference between product HAp and standard HAp for the crystalline form and compositions. α-Fe2O3 thin films have been synthesized and used as photoanodes for photo-electrochemical (PEC) water oxidation. Molybdate was introduced to mediate hematite thin films via two synthesis routes (namely in situin situ mediation and ex situ modification). Through the in situ mediation process, the morphology and film thickness could be changed significantly due to the addition of MoO42-, while for the ex situ modification, the PEC performance of the hematite has been greatly improved without changing the nanorod morphology. Various characterizations such as UV-Vis absorption, transmission electronic microscopy, scanning electronic microscopy, Mott-Schottky, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy were conducted and the PEC performances were investigated.

In the engineering education accreditation system, it is clearly required that the major applying for certification should prove the achievement of graduation requirements with appraisal. The common appraisal methods of graduation requirements achievements (GRAs) focus on the whole situation of graduates, which lacks personalized guidance for students at school. Based on the analytical method of exam scores in the common methods, the paper presents the achievement of individual graduation requirements and designs algorithms to dynamically appraise every student with real examples, which may provide detailed data and immediate guidance for the major and its own students. The dynamic appraisal method can improve the GRAs of the major, and also can strengthen the core concepts of engineering education accreditation. © 2020 ACM.

Based on the theory of crystal plasticity, coupled with dislocation and lath hardening models, this paper establishes a crystal plasticity finite element model describing the high temperature creep of P92 steel. Open source software was used to generate lath models with an average size of 350nm, 650nm and 950nm to explore the effect of lath coarsening on the high-temperature creep behavior of P92 steel. The results show that the roughening of the slats increases the rate of creep deformation, resulting in a decrease in the service life of the material. Observing the slat model, it can be seen that the roughening of the slats enlarges the numerical gradient of stress and strain, and aggravates the overall plastic strain of the model. The coarsening of the slats accelerates the movement of dislocations, causing the density of movable dislocations to increase, and at the same time the shear strain amplitude of the slip system increases, thereby reducing the hardening behavior of the material. © Journal of Physics: Conference Series 2021.

Bionic flapping-wing robot has the advantages of good maneuverability, low noise and strong stealth performance. It is widely used in military intelligence collection, field rescue and investigation. In this paper, an optimal design method of bionic flapping-wing robot non-phase difference driving mechanism is proposed. By setting the constraints of flapping angle amplitude, fuselage height and slider stroke, the scale parameters of the mechanism are optimized by using the minimum transmission angle;on this basis, the effectiveness of fuzzy PD control in improving the tracking accuracy of the drive system is verified by means of ADAMS and MATLAB / Simulink electromechanical coupling simulation. This research has practical value for designing new flapping-wing robot and improving its control quality. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, a nonlinear energy sink (NES) is designed to suppress the vibrations of a rectangular plate, where the vibrations within a non-resonant band of the plate are mainly investigated. The selected frequency range is 9–11 Hz with a loading frequency interval of 0.5 Hz. The harmonic excitation experiments with fixed frequency are conducted within the non-resonant band to obtain its amplitude-frequency curves. The results indicate that the NES always has effective vibration absorption with the variations in NES mass and spring stiffness under low excitation accelerations. However, the rectangular plate exhibits a higher branch of response within the low-frequency range under high excitation accelerations. Metrics such as the effective value of response acceleration and the vibration level are introduced to evaluate the experimental results to analyze the vibration absorption of the NES. The study reveals that optimal performance is achieved when a non-weighted NES with a spring having a wire diameter of 1.2 mm and an external diameter of 10 mm is attached to the rectangular plate.
