Nonlinear free vibration of piezoelectric semiconductor doubly-curved shells based on nonlinear drift-diffusion model

In this paper, the nonlinear free vibration behaviors of the piezoelectric semiconductor(PS) doubly-curved shell resting on the Pasternak foundation are studied within the framework of the nonlinear drift-diffusion(NLDD) model and the first-order shear deformation theory. The nonlinear constitutive relations are presented, and the strain energy, kinetic energy, and virtual work of the PS doubly-curved shell are *** on Hamilton's principle as well as the condition of charge continuity, the nonlinear governing equations are achieved, and then these equations are solved by means of an efficient iteration method. Several numerical examples are given to show the effect of the nonlinear drift current, elastic foundation parameters as well as geometric parameters on the nonlinear vibration frequency, and the damping characteristic of the PS doublycurved shell. The main innovations of the manuscript are that the difference between the linearized drift-diffusion(LDD) model and the NLDD model is revealed, and an effective method is proposed to select a proper initial electron concentration for the LDD model.

Cascading failures in infrastructure networks have serious impacts on network *** limited capacity of net-work nodes provides a necessary condition for cascade ***,the network capacity cannot be infinite in the real net-work ***,how to reasonably allocate the limited capacity resources is of great *** this article,we put forward a capacity allocation strategy based on community structure against cascading *** results indi-cate that the proposed method can reduce the scale of cascade failures with higher capacity utilization compared with Motter-Lai(ML)*** advantage of our method is more obvious in scale-free ***,the experiment shows that the cascade effect is more obvious when the vertex load is ran-domly *** is known to all that the growth of network capacity can make the network more resistant to destruction,but in this paper it is found that the contribution rate of unit capacity rises first and then decreases with the growth of net-work capacity cost.

In the railway transportation industry,fault diagnosis of railway point machines(RPMs) is *** operational vibration signals can reflect the condition of various faults in mechanical devices, vibration sensing and monitoring and more importantly, vibration signal-based fault diagnosis for RPMs have attracted the attention of scholars and engineers. Most vibration signalbased fault-diagnosis methods for RPMs rely on data collected using high-sampling-rate sensors and manual feature extraction, hence are costly and insufficiently *** overcome these shortcomings, we propose a doublescale wide first-layer kernel convolutional neural network(DS-WCNN) for RPMs fault diagnosis using inexpensive and low-sampling-rate vibration sensors. The proposed wide first-layer kernels, which extract features from vibration observations, are particularly suitable for lowsampling-rate signals. Meanwhile, the proposed doublescale structure improves accuracy and noise suppression by combining two types of timescale features. Sufficient experiments, including noise addition and comparison,were conducted to demonstrate the robustness and accuracy of the proposed algorithm.

Improving transportation efficiency is an eternal research hotspot in rail transit system. In recent years, the train operation control method based on virtual coupling has attracted the attention of many *** method of train coordination and anti-collision control is not only the key to realize the virtual coupling of train, but also the key to ensure the safety of train operation. Therefore, based on the existing research, a virtual coupled train dynamics model with nonlinear dynamics is established. Then, the parameters of the operation process model of the nonlinear virtual coupled train are identified by the recursive least squares method based on realtime data, which is applied to the variable parameter artificial potential field(VAPF) for parameter identification.A fusion controller based on feature-based generalized model prediction(GPC) and VAPF is used to control the virtual coupled train and prevent collision. Finally, the validity of the proposed method is verified by using real high-speed railway data.

Damage effect and progressive failure mechanism of sandstone considering different flaw angles under dynamic loading

In many engineering applications,it is essential to have information about rocks that inherently contain preexisting flaws under dynamic loading *** impact tests are conducted on samples with varying flaw angles using the split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB)test system and the Digital Image Correlation system(DIC).The characteristics of the samples after dynamic loading,including dynamic strength,energy dissipation,and fractal fracture,are compared and *** the flaw angle increases,the peak stress and strain exhibit a typical V-shaped pattern,reaching the minimum value at 30,and the initial initiation position shifts from the flaw tips to the middle of the *** modes can be divided into three modes depending on the flaw *** progressive failure process,taking into account the heterogeneity of the rock,is demonstrated by developing an elastic damage constitutive model that uses dynamic compression and tensile tests to parameterize *** the flaw angle increases,the initial damage zone also moves from the flaw tips to the middle of the *** around the hole with redistributed stress are observed,and the failure mechanisms can be explained with the aid of strain energy density(SED).Using fracture mechanics,the analytical solution of stress around the flaw is provided,and the variation of crack initiation angle,stress distribution,and energy dissipation under different flaw angles is theoretically explained,which is in good agreement with the experimental and simulated results.

This paper introduces a target tracking control approach for an underactuated Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) with 6 Degrees of Freedom (6-DoF), characterized by unknown dynamics and disturbances. Notably, the system inertia matrix of this 6-DoF USV is positive definite and non-diagonal, implying the presence of intricate coupling relationships within the input vector components. To address the challenges posed by underactuation, we present an adaptive control methodology utilizing a novel transverse function and backstepping procedure. Furthermore, we introduce a dynamic signal to compensate for external dynamic uncertainties and disturbances. Leveraging Lyapunov stability theory, we establish that the target tracking error converges to a small neighborhood near the origin, and all signals within the closed-loop system remain bounded. Lastly, we showcase the effectiveness of the proposed control methodology through simulation results involving a 6-DoF supply vehicle. IEEE

This paper addresses the impact of vertical vibration negative effects,unbalanced radial forces generated by the static eccentricity of the hub motor,and road excitation on the suspension performance of Hub Motor Driven Vehicle(HMDV).A dynamic inertial suspension based on Active Disturbance Rejection control(ADRC)is proposed,combining the vertical dynamic characteristics of dynamic inertial suspension with the features of ADRC,which distinguishes between internal and external disturbances and arranges the transition ***,a simulation model of the static eccentricity of the hub motor is established to simulate the unbalanced radial electromagnetic force generated under static eccentricity.A quarter-vehicle model of an HMDV with a controllable dynamic inertial suspension is then ***,the passive suspension model is studied under different grades of road excitation,and the impact mechanism of suspension performance at speeds of 0–20 m/s is ***,the three main components within the ADRC controller are designed for the second-order controlled system,and optimization algorithms are used to optimize its internal ***,the performance of the traditional passive suspension,the PID-based controllable dynamic inertial suspension,and the ADRC-based controllable dynamic inertial suspension are analyzed under different road *** results show that,under sinusoidal road input,the ADRC-based controllable dynamic inertial suspension exhibits a 52.3%reduction in the low-frequency resonance peak in the vehicle body acceleration gain diagram compared to the traditional passive suspension,with significant performance optimization in the high-frequency *** random road input,the ADRC-based controllable dynamic inertial suspension achieves a 29.53%reduction in the root mean square value of vehicle body acceleration and a 14.87%reduction in dynamic tire *** indicates that the designed controllable dynamic inertia

The theory of compressed sensing is introduced to solve the repairing of missing data collected in PHM monitoring. An improved measurement matrix is proposed to optimize the conventional measurement matrix to increase the uncorrelation between the observation matrix and the sparse basis. Then a sparse representation of the vibration signal through discrete cosine transform (DCT) is utilized to sparse the noisy vibration signal. Finally, the orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP) algorithm is employed to reconstruct the missing signal. The method validation results show that the signal repaired by the proposed method agrees well with the original signal in the time domain, and the signal reconstructed by the optimized observation matrix has higher accuracy than the signal reconstructed by the initial observation matrix. Under different missing rates, the reconstruction error of the proposed method is smaller than other comparison methods.
