With the advancement of information technology, the Social Internet of Things (SIoT) has fostered the integration of physical devices and social networks, deepening the study of complex interaction patterns. Text Attribute Graphs (TAGs) capture both topological structures and semantic attributes, enhancing the analysis of complex interactions within the SIoT. However, existing graph learning methods are typically designed for complete attributed graphs, and the common issue of missing attributes in Attribute Missing Graphs (AMGs) increases the difficulty of analysis tasks. To address this, we propose the Topology-Driven Attribute Recovery (TDAR) framework, which leverages topological data for AMG learning. TDAR introduces an improved pre-filling method for initial attribute recovery using native graph topology. Additionally, it dynamically adjusts propagation weights and incorporates homogeneity strategies within the embedding space to suit AMGs’ unique topological structures, effectively reducing noise during information propagation. Extensive experiments on public datasets demonstrate that TDAR significantly outperforms state-of-the-art methods in attribute reconstruction and downstream tasks, offering a robust solution to the challenges posed by AMGs. Due to their single-stage step-down nature, current source rectifiers (CSR) constitute attractive options for supplying high-power electrolyzers. To increase system power rating, parallel configurations can be adopted with interleaved Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) techniques that improve power quality and reduce the size of filtering elements. Optimal design of the output dc inductance is crucial to achieve cost-effective and competitive solutions. However, common design methods for one single CSR do not achieve optimal designs. There are hardly any specific design methods for interleaved CSRs either. This paper analyzes the operation of parallel interleaved CSRs supplying high-power electrolyzers and develops a methodology to optimally size the output dc inductances. In addition, a common mode equivalent circuit is developed to analyze the circulating currents caused by the interleaved operation and calculate the ripple in the inductances. When applied to a 3 MW electrolyzer, the results show that inductance size reductions of up to 69% can be obtained with the proposed methodology.

The application of unmanned vehicles in industrial cargo transportation is becoming increasingly widespread, particularly playing a significant role in transporting heavy-duty goods. However, when performing such tasks, whether in single-vehicle transportation or multi-vehicle collaborative transportation, the occurrence of wheel failures can potentially lead to serious safety accidents. Therefore, this paper proposes a fault-tolerant control scheme, establishing a kinematic model considering disturbances and failures, and adopts model predictive control for trajectory tracking. Additionally, an extended state observer is introduced to observe system states and counteract disturbances. To address potential failure issues, a controller reconstruction strategy is proposed. Finally, the effectiveness and superiority of the controller is validated through numerical simulation and comparative experiment.

This study focuses on the performance design issue of nonlinear repetitive control (RC) systems subject to harmonic disturbances. First, a Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model is used to describe a nonlinear plant. Then, a repetitive controller featuring a harmonic disturbance period is integrated with an EID estimator to form an RC-EID structure. The structure has a learning feature that gradually reduces the harmonic disturbance estimation error by self-learning. The linear inequality matrices guarantee the stability of nonlinear RC systems. A case study with two permanent magnet synchronous motors shows that the presented RC-EID estimator enhances the harmonic disturbance-suppression performance while compensating for the phase lag caused by the conventional EID filter.

Data-driven Polytopic Output Synchronization of Heterogeneous Multi-agent systems from Noisy Data

This paper proposes a novel approach to addressing the output synchronization problem in unknown heterogeneous multi-agent systems (MASs) using noisy data. Unlike existing studies that focus on noiseless data, we introduce a distributed data-driven controller that enables all heterogeneous followers to synchronize with a leader’s trajectory. To handle the noise in the state-input-output data, we develop a data-based polytopic representation for the MAS. We tackle the issue of infeasibility in the set of output regulator equations caused by the noise by seeking approximate solutions via constrained fitting error minimization. This method utilizes measured data and a noise-matrix polytope to ensure near-optimal output synchronization. Stability conditions in the form of data-dependent semidefinite programs are derived, providing stabilizing controller gains for each follower. The proposed distributed data-driven control protocol achieves near-optimal output synchronization by ensuring the convergence of the tracking error to a bounded polytope, with the polytope size positively correlated with the noise bound. In this paper, we consider the distributed adaptive fault-tolerant output regulation problem for heterogeneous multiagent systems with matched system uncertainties and mismatched coupling uncertainties among subsystems under the influence of actuator faults. First, distributed finite-time observers are proposed for all subsystems to observe the state of the exosystem. Then, a novel fault-tolerant controller is designed to compensate for the influence of matched system uncertainties and actuator faults. By using the linear matrix inequality technique, a sufficient condition is provided to guarantee the solvability of the considered problem in the presence of mismatched coupling uncertainties. Moreover, it is shown that the system in closed-loop with the developed controller can achieve output regulation by using the Lyapunov stability theory and cyclic-small-gain ***, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the obtained result.

This paper presents a haptic device with a simple architecture of only two limbs that can provide translational motion in three degrees of freedom (DOF) and one-DOF rotational motion. Actuation redundancy eliminates all forward-kinematic singularities and improves the motion-force transmission property. Thanks to the special structure of the kinematic chains, all actuators are close to the base and full gravity compensation is achieved passively by using springs. Force producibility analysis shows that this haptic device is able to produce long-term continuous force feedback of 15–30 N in each direction. By developing a prototype of the haptic device and a virtual three-dimensional simulator, a preliminary performance evaluation of the haptic device was conducted. In addition, a torque distribution algorithm considering a relaxed form of actuator-torque saturation was experimentally evaluated, and a comparison with other algorithms reveals that this algorithm offers several advantages.

Chimera states are dynamical states where regions of synchronous trajectories coexist with incoherent ones. A significant amount of research has been devoted to studying chimera states in systems of identical oscillators, nonlocally coupled through pairwise interactions. Nevertheless, there is increasing evidence, also supported by available data, that complex systems are composed of multiple units experiencing many-body interactions that can be modeled by using higher-order structures beyond the paradigm of classic pairwise networks. In this work we investigate whether phase chimera states appear in this framework, by focusing on a topology solely involving many-body, nonlocal, and nonregular interactions, hereby named nonlocal d-hyperring, (d+1) being the order of the interactions. We present the theory by using the paradigmatic Stuart-Landau oscillators as node dynamics, and we show that phase chimera states emerge in a variety of structures and with different coupling functions. For comparison, we show that, when higher-order interactions are “flattened” to pairwise ones, the chimera behavior is weaker and more elusive.

This study explores the impact of phone usage on train driver performance, a critical aspect influencing the safety of railroad operations. The persistent problem of phone distractions, which severely impair situational awareness and contribute to accidents, necessitates innovative solutions to enhance operational safety. Leveraging advancements in technology, this study introduces a novel approach combining electroencephalogram (EEG)-based analysis with deep learning algorithms to assess the effects of phone usage on the attention states of train drivers. Utilizing a full-type train simulator to replicate real-life scenarios, this study conducts an experimental design involving scenarios with and without phone engagement, aiming to provide a comprehensive assessment of phone usage on performance in critical situations. The deep learning model employed achieved an impressive classification accuracy of approximately 85.6% in distinguishing attention states among 25 participants, with high precision and recall values indicating its efficacy in detecting phone interaction. Moreover, findings reveal that phone usage leads to a 1.4 times increase in response time to situational awareness, significantly affecting driver performance. These findings highlight the significant impact of phone usage on train driver attention and underscore the potential of EEG-based analysis and deep learning in improving railroad safety measures. This study contributes to the growing body of safety literature by focusing on train drivers, offering fresh insights and practical implications for enhancing the safety and efficiency of railroad operations. © 2024, The Authors.
