In this paper, a risk analysis was approached in Contingency Testing with the purpose of serving as a support for the prevention of the disaster situation in an IT environment by a Data Protection Officer (DPO) supported using the Logic Paraconsistent Annotated Evidential Eτ. When observing the aspect of risk, that is, of non-compliance or adherence to ISO 22.301/2013 - Security and resilience—Business continuity management systems—Requirements and Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD), there is a focus on global verification, and it is not always respected in its details interns. In this proposal, simple decision-making is contrasted with those based on Paraconsistent Annotated Logic Eτ. Only a few risk factors were selected for this study concerning contingency tests. Some indications have been analyzed in this context and may present a higher or lower degree of the positive sign, however, situations that lead to uncertainty percentages may occur. It can be concluded that a lot of information has ambiguous and incomplete tendencies. However, this information, instead of being wholly discarded because it is considered totally inconclusive, can be analyzed and optimized decisions can be made. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Demand generation is crucial for organizations, supplying sales teams with well-qualified commercial opportunities. Despite the wide variety of existing opportunity qualification methodologies, the subjective nature of experts' final evaluation remains an obstacle to efficiency and productivity in the business process. This research investigated how Fuzzy Set Theory and Fuzzy Logic could be applied to the BANT methodology for qualifying commercial opportunities, aiming to replace these deliberative evaluations by experts to increase the sales cycle performance. A fuzzy inference system was developed to emulate the assessments of the experts. The analysis of the ratings obtained after processing a sample of commercial opportunities from 2022 and 2023 confirmed the system's effectiveness in aligning with expert perceptions. While the study indicated room for refinements in the model, the findings underscore the potential to streamline the qualification of opportunities and improve sales cycle performance. © 2024 The Authors.

The world population is expected to increase to 9.8 billion by 2050, increasing food demand. Fertilizer is one of the key factors that can increase food production in the world. This article aims to investigate the flow of fertilizers among country origin, main ports of entry in Brazil, and international suppliers. For this purpose, data were collected from the Brazilian Ministry of Industry and Foreign Trade, and we analyzed these data using the Ucinet 6.0 ® and Netdraw ® software. This paper addresses the subject of software measurement, namely, the method of Function Point Analysis, which consists in functionally sizing the software. The sizing activity held between customer specialists and suppliers causes disagreements because it involves multiple vague factors that are difficult to quantify. This paper aims to develop the AITOD- Intelligent Decision-making Support system, based on Paraconsistent Annotated Evidential Logic Eτ. This system aims to contribute to the decision-making process of managers. Such methodology has as a precept the materialization of artefacts derived from concepts. The AITOD product has achieved significant improvements in the process of mitigating project recounts. Through the AITOD system, it was verified that 46 projects would result in approval of 28.57% of the projects, 50 projects would result in approval of 64.10% of the projects. With these results, companies would avoid unnecessary expenses and rework. In the scope of the innovative project, the results achieved on the reduction of values spent on project recounting stands out, being proved the viability of the AITOD product.

In this expository work, we show an application of a new class of ANN, namely the Paraconsistent Artificial Neural Network - PANN. Also, we use an algorithm - the Paraconsistent Extractor - for our studies. It was performed on the attributes of mammographic images. To perform these simulations, we used two different databases. The first one is used to classify calcifications, is composed of 143 samples divided into 64 benign cases and 79 malignant cases represented by form. The second is intended for mammographic masses and tumors classification and is composed of 57 regions of interest divided into 37 malignant and 20 benign cases, represented by form factors, transition edges and texture measures. The results demonstrate the qualities of Paraconsistent classifier when using a small number of samples for training the neural network and its low processing time. The proposed classifier can be rated as a Computer-Aided Diagnosis system (CAD). The Paraconsistent Extractor can obtain image parameters and sends them to the paraconsistent artificial neural network to analyze them.

Visually estimating the gait score in a flock is not a precise task. The evaluation is done based on scores from 0 (sound bird) to 5 (lame bird). The extremes are simply identifiable;however, the midway scores are not evident. This study aimed to evaluate the gait scores by calculating the speed and acceleration of broilers (male and female) using video images. To this end, a special platform was developed and covered with bedding substrate. A blue panel provided a background to contrast with the birds. Selected broilers from the different gait scores were placed to walk on the runway, and a video was recorded. An algorithm was developed to analyze the video streams. The bird centroid was detected and through which the broilers speed, and acceleration from gait score was calculated. The multivariate analysis was applied to data. The velocity and acceleration differed between male and female broilers decreasing as the gait score increased. Further developments are needed for automatically detecting the broiler gait scores.
