Brazil is the second country in the world in aesthetic surgical procedures, with 905,000 procedures, being behind only the U.S., according to information corresponding to the year 2011 from the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) and the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery (BSPS). Given this scenario, we chose to study the adipose cells, which are a organ with intense metabolic and endocrine activity. Accumulated in excess adipocytes causes the disadvantages metabolic and endocrine in the organism, leading to obesity in general and located. This research referred to obesity marked by deposition in the abdominal area, that is denominated central or androide obesity, in the case of a localized adiposity. The objective of the research was to analyze the effects of therapeutic ultrasound and medium frequency current in this particular type of adiposity. The therapeutic protocol consisted of the utilization therapy of therapeutic ultrasound 3 MHz and medium frequency current (1 kHz, with Bursts of 2 ms), performed in ten sessions of 40-minute each. The sample consisted of 16 women, of whom 14 have finalized treatment. The assessment instruments used were: percentage of total body fat by bioimpedance, skinfold measurement in the region where localized adiposity was. We observed the reduction in measures measured in abdominal circumference and percentage decrease in total body fat measured on a digital scale bipolar bioimpedance, as well as the decrease measured by skinfold plicometer in all patients submitted to treatment. The results of submission to the treatment of Combined Therapy can be considered satisfactory, due the record in reducing the parameters analyzed, despite being necessary to a more thorough study on the subject and scientific substantiation in a larger sample. Quantum computing is at the forefront of technological advancement and has the potential to revolutionize various fields, including quantum chemistry. Choosing an appropriate quantum programming language becomes critical as quantum education and research increase. In this paper, we comprehensively compare two leading quantum programming languages, Qiskit and PennyLane, focusing on their suitability for teaching and research. We delve into their basic and advanced usage, examine their learning curves, and evaluate their capabilities in quantum computing experiments. We also demonstrate using a quantum programming language to build a half adder and a machine learning model. Our study reveals that each language has distinct advantages. While PennyLane excels in research applications due to its flexibility to adjust parameters in detail and access multiple sources of real quantum devices, Qiskit stands out in education because of its web-based graphical user interface and smaller code size. Interest in the two-dimensional (2D) semiconducting transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) continues to intensify, driven by their suitable band gaps to supplant silicon as next-generation semiconductor materials. Among various TMDs, tungsten diselenide (WSe2) is renowned for its superior electrical properties in carrier density and mobility under ambient conditions. Despite its notable attributes, the behavior of monolayer WSe2 in the electron-doped regime under cryogenic conditions remains largely uncharted, particularly concerning its magnetotransport properties. In this study, we reveal the transport mechanisms of monolayer WSe2 from high temperatures down to the cryogenic regime. As evident by Efros–Shklovskii variable-range hopping (E-S VRH) in the cryogenic regime, strong Coulomb interactions arise between electrons. Above 8 K, an uncommon nonsaturated quadratic large magnetoresistance (MR) can be explained by the wave-function shrinkage model, which is consistent with the E-S VRH transport mechanism. Notably, the nonsaturated quadratic large MR shows a magnitude up to 1740% at 13 T. These findings underscore the potential applications for monolayer WSe2 in cryogenic field-effect devices, magnetic sensors, and memory devices and mark a significant advance in magnetotransport research.
