This paper presents the design and implementation of an automated assignment management system utilizing a bot interface. The system’ s primary objective is to streamline the process of collecting and tracking student assignments, ensuring timely updates to a central database, and facilitating communication between students and teachers. The bot employs email inbox parsing techniques to identify incoming assignment submissions, extracting relevant data such as student names, assignment details, and submission timestamps. Upon receiving a submission, the bot updates an Excel database with the pertinent information, maintaining an organized record of completed ***, the system incorporates a notification feature to promptly alert students who have not yet submitted their assignments by the deadline. Leveraging email integration, the bot sends personalized notifications reminding students of impending deadlines and urging them to submit their work promptly. Additionally, the bot generates a list of incomplete assignments and forwards it to the respective teacher, providing a consolidated overview of students who require *** automating the assignment management process, this system reduces manual intervention, minimizes administrative burden, and enhances efficiency in monitoring student progress. This Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), facilitates the medical stop regarding real-time monitoring of patients, medical emergency management, remote surgery, patient information management, medical equipment, drug monitoring, etc. However, IoMT devices communicate with each other in an open environment that makes them vulnerable to a wide range of malicious threats from malicious entities. To protect the devices and their associated data, we designed a broadcast authentication scheme for IoMT devices using identity-based public key cryptography that exploits the lightweight features of the Hyper-Elliptic Curve (HEC). We then performed the security analysis based on the Random Oracle Model (ROM), in which we have proved that the proposed scheme is unforgeable under the hardiness of the hyperelliptic curve discrete logarithm problem. The proposed scheme is analyzed in terms of computational and communication overhead and the experimental results justify the superiority of the proposed work in comparison to the existing schemes.

With the advancement of information technology in the recent decades, digital and online services have become essential components of everyday life in Europe. Montenegro is no different in this regard. However, as digital literacy in the country is still in a developing phase in comparison with most countries of the EU, a higher portion of its citizens may rely on assistive technical communication. In this paper, we provide a case study on the assistive technical communication of Montenegrin eServices. The work addresses the sectors of online banking, healthcare services, higher education, national administrative services, and utilities. Our findings highlight the diversity in terms of implemented assistive technical communication, and distinguish usage contexts on the level of adequacy. Yet as the functionalities of Montenegrin eServices are expected to gradually expand in the upcoming years, assistive technical communication must aim to handle the higher extents of service complexity. © 2023 IEEE.

Quantum simulation is a promising pathway toward practical quantum advantage by simulating large-scale quantum systems. In this work, we propose communication-efficient distributed quantum simulation protocols by exploring three quantum simulation algorithms, including the product formula, the truncated Taylor series, and the processing of quantum signals over a quantum network. Our protocols are further shown to be optimal by deriving a lower bound on the quantum communication complexity for distributed quantum simulations with respect to evolution time and the number of distributed quantum processing units. Additionally, our distributed techniques go beyond quantum simulation and are applied to distributed versions of Grover’s algorithms and quantum phase estimation. Our work not only paves the way for achieving a practical quantum advantage by scalable quantum simulation but also enlightens the design of more general distributed architectures across various physical systems for quantum computation. The growing popularity of online sports and exercise necessitates effective methods for evaluating the quality of online exercise executions. Previous action quality assessment methods, which relied on labeled scores from motion videos, exhibited slightly lower accuracy and discriminability. This limitation hindered their rapid application to newly added exercises. To address this problem, this paper presents an unlabeled Multi-Dimensional Exercise Distance Adaptive Constrained Dynamic Time Warping (MED-ACDTW) method for action quality assessment. Our approach uses an athletic version of DTW to compare features from template and test videos, eliminating the need for score labels during training. The result shows that utilizing both 2D and 3D spatial dimensions, along with multiple human body features, improves the accuracy by 2-3% compared to using either 2D or 3D pose estimation alone. Additionally, employing MED for score calculation enhances the precision of frame distance matching, which significantly boosts overall discriminability. The adaptive constraint scheme enhances the discriminability of action quality assessment by approximately 30%. Furthermore, to address the absence of a standardized perspective in sports class evaluations, we introduce a new dataset called BGym. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The graph isomorphism problem remains a fundamental challenge in computer science, driving the search for efficient decision algorithms. Due to its ambiguous computational complexity, heuristic approaches such as simulated annealing are frequently used to explore the solution space selectively. These methods often achieve high probabilities of identifying solutions quickly, avoiding the exhaustive enumeration required by exact algorithms. However, traditional simulated annealing usually struggles with low sampling efficiency and reduced solution-finding probability in complex or large graph problems. In this study, we integrate the principles of quantum technology to address the graph isomorphism problem. By mapping the solution space to a quantum many-body system, we developed a parameterized model for variational simulated annealing. This approach emphasizes the regions of the solution space that are most likely to contain the optimal solution, thereby enhancing the search accuracy. Artificial neural networks were utilized to parameterize the quantum many-body system, leveraging their capacity for efficient function approximation to perform accurate sampling in the intricate energy landscapes of large graph problems. Multipartite entanglement is a valuable resource for quantum technologies. However, detecting this resource can be challenging: for genuine multipartite entanglement, the detection may require global measurements that are hard to implement experimentally. Here we introduce the concept of entanglement detection length, defined as the minimum number of particles that have to be jointly measured in order to detect genuine multipartite entanglement. For symmetric states, we show that the entanglement detection length can be determined by testing separability of the marginal states. For general states, we provide an upper bound on the entanglement detection length based on semidefinite programming. We show that the entanglement detection length is generally smaller than the minimum observable length needed to uniquely determine a multipartite state, and we provide examples achieving the maximum gap between these two quantities.

Diffusion models are initially designed for image generation. Recent research shows that the internal signals within their backbones, named activations, can also serve as dense features for various discriminative tasks such as semantic segmentation. Given numerous activations, selecting a small yet effective subset poses a fundamental problem. To this end, the early study of this field performs a large-scale quantitative comparison of the discriminative ability of the activations. However, we find that many potential activations have not been evaluated, such as the queries and keys used to compute attention scores. Moreover, recent advancements in diffusion architectures bring many new activations, such as those within embedded ViT modules. Both combined, activation selection remains unresolved but overlooked. To tackle this issue, this paper takes a further step with a much broader range of activations evaluated. Considering the significant increase in activations, a full-scale quantitative comparison is no longer operational. Instead, we seek to understand the properties of these activations, such that the activations that are clearly inferior can be filtered out in advance via simple qualitative evaluation. After careful analysis, we discover three properties universal among diffusion models, enabling this study to go beyond specific models. On top of this, we present effective feature selection solutions for several popular diffusion models. Finally, the experiments across multiple discriminative tasks validate the superiority of our method over the SOTA competitors. Web 3.0 is regarded as a revolutionary paradigm that enables users to securely manage data without a centralized authority. Blockchains, which enable data to be managed in a decentralized and transparent manner, are key technologies for achieving Web 3.0 goals. However, blockchain-based Web 3.0 is still in its infancy, such as ensuring block freshness and optimizing block propagation to improve blockchain performance. In this paper, we develop a freshness-aware block propagation optimization framework for Web 3.0. We first propose a novel metric called Age of Block information (AoBI) based on the concept of age of information to quantify block freshness. AoBI measures the time elapsed from the freshest transaction generation to the completion of block consensus. To make block propagation optimization tractable, we classify miners into five different states and propose a block propagation model for public blockchains inspired by epidemic models. Moreover, considering that the miners are bounded rational, we propose an incentive mechanism based on the evolutionary game for block propagation to improve block propagation efficiency. Numerical results demonstrate that compared with other block propagation mechanisms in public blockchains, the proposed scheme has a higher block forwarding probability, which improves block propagation efficiency and decreases the minimum value of average AoBI. © 2015 IEEE.

The advent of the Internet and portable devices, including smartphones and watches, has brought unprecedented opportunities for embedded application systems developments. Along with these developments, there is an increasing need for embedded devices to handle important services, such as the ability to pay bills or manage bank accounts remotely via mobile phones. Such applications and developments have also highlighted the issues of cyberattacks and computing network security - these developments have made mobile phones a potential target for malware, trojans, and viruses, so it is critical to design a set of security technologies for embedded devices. In fact, security has become an essential requirement in the process of embedded system design. Thus, ARM has proposed system-level security solutions based on TrustZone technology. TrustZone technology is tightly integrated with Cortex™-A processors and extends the system through the AMBA® AXI bus and specific TrustZone system IP blocks to protect peripherals such as secure memory, encryption blocks, keyboards, and screens from software attacks. It divides the system into TEE (Trusted Execution Environment) and REE (Rich Execution Environment) by hardware and provides intrinsic software security services and interfaces. More precisely, it has built system security by combining hardware and software. It is worth noting that it does not influence performance, power consumption, and area as much as possible. Owing to such characteristics, the technology has gained the wide attention of researchers worldwide. There is lack of systematic documentation of the technology. Therefore, this paper documents the significant progress achieved in the field. In particular, this article mainly analyses the primary mechanism implementation, and how to build the Trusted Execution Environment in different environments.
