Fuel cell technology plays a significant role in transformation towards sustainable and clean energy systems because of their high performance, low emissions and eco-friendly operation. This work emphasizes a comprehensive computational and electrochemical impedance analysis of fuel cell to evaluate the effects of different operational and structural parameters on its performance. The work explores the significant key parameters such as inlet pressure, mass flow rate, gas diffusion layer (GdL) porosity, electrode exchange coefficient, inlet temperature, relative humidity, membrane conductivity, electrode thickness, electrolyte thickness, and porous electrode conductivity. The polarization and impedance outcomes demonstrate that optimum inlet pressures and mass flow rates specifically improve the reactant transport, decrease the concentration losses and enhance current density. An enhanced GdL porosity and electrode exchange coefficients facilitates to optimize fuel uniformity andreaction kinetics. In other case, excessive inlet temperature introduces a thermal stress a decrease the reactant concentration at catalyst layer. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) analysis further indicates that rising relative humidity from 10 % to 90 % decrease the charge transferresistance from 0.00195 Omega & sdot;m2 to 0.00055 Omega & sdot;m2. In other case increasing inlet temperature from 313 K to 353 K reduce impedance from 0.00182 Omega & sdot;m2 to 0.00104 Omega & sdot;m2. Additionally, improving membrane conductivity from 1 S/m to 20 S/m and minimising electrode and electrolyte thicknesses significantly reduce internal resistance. Maximum porous electrode conductivity (700-1000 S/m) also participate to reduce impedance and improve the performance of fuel cell.
