Pollution phenomenon in mural paintings

This paper examines mural paintings displayed on building walls in urban society. This research assess why some murals have not succeeded in attracting tourists to visit, have not been responded to much, and incited social media engagement. Murals are considered by some as a form of visual pollution that pollutes walls rather than embellishes them. Murals have become a trend, and they cover the walls that many tourists see. The presence of murals as a form of euphoria involves a group of people and is intended as both a tourist attraction and a type of free expression as parts of contemporary city culture. This paper uses the research method of phenomenology by Edmund Husserl. This findings reveal that murals fail when they did not fulfill aesthetic rules and did not stimulate the public to interact with the paintings' visual elements. This research found that visual elements creating humorous, unique, and attractive narratives can be more desirable and have greater potential to be uploaded to social media, which in turn will contribute to constructing city image. © 2018 Society for Advancement of Horticulture. In this study, the researcher discussed about Tenteng Malino: A traditional snack from Malino, South Sulawesi. The researcher found two problems which related to its brand and package. First, Tenteng Malino did not have a strong brand identity and second, package, as the Tenteng Malino only wrapped with the used printed label and common plastic. The objective of the research is to increase the sale of the Tenteng Malino by redesigning the brand and package of the Tenteng Malino. The result of this research is the package design for Tenteng Malino, which is designed in an informative and persuasive manner. © 2019 IEEE.

Today, Experimental Print design mainly focuses on the use and manipulation of attractive sales displays and retail floor plans to engage customers and boost sales activity. Furthermore, the aesthetics of retail space enhance functionality, customer loyalty, and brand identity. The studies highlight the teaching methods for effective learning of the course. This study aims to investigate the implementation, challenges, and implications of a virtual exhibition project in Experimental Print design Class for visual communication design Students. A mixed methods research design was used to collect, analyze, and mix both quantitative and qualitative research and methods to answer the research problems of the implementation and implications of a virtual exhibition project in Experimental Print design Class. The sample was a class with 16 students in the online class and 4 students in the onsite class for hybrid learning. The findings show three main stages namely preparation, preliminary, final artwork for exhibition as the implementation of the virtual exhibition project in Experimental Print design class and the challenges of the course were ensuring the right material quality and addressing durability concerns. In addition, virtual exhibition implementation of POP display project in Experimental Print design class effectively improved students' ability in the aesthetics of retail space, the impression of hierarchy targets such as color, imagery, and words on the display, concept, the idea of the assets that are presented digitally in 2D or/and 3D and examine competitors' design work. In conclusion, based on the implication of the POP display project in the Experimental Print design class, it was found that there was no significant difference between the online and onsite class as hybrid learning for Virtual Exhibition Project of POP display project in Experimental Print design class. This paper examines the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the digital creation of Balinese dance animations, with a specific focus on the Hanoman dance character as the case study. Hanoman dance as a part of Balinese dance, known for its intricate movements, unique costume and cultural significance, presents a unique challenge for digital artists. AI technologies, such as machine learning and computer vision, offer novel approaches to capturing and animating these complex dance forms. This study examines current AI applications in this domain, assesses their effectiveness, and discusses the potential advancements and limitations. Through the use of rotoscoping and motion capture techniques, this study adeptly examines the intricate movements of the Hanoman dance, an integral part of Balinese dance heritage, employing text-to-animation and AI models for video footage motion capture. The thorough processes of data collection, preprocessing, and model training emphasized in the study highlight the necessity of a meticulous methodology. Furthermore, incorporating expert feedback during the validation and refinement phases ensures that the digital representations are both authentic and expressive. The study concludes that AI technologies can play a crucial role in preserving Balinese dance, offering educational tools and digital archives that uphold the cultural integrity of this traditional art form. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent years, neurodiversity has gained popularity among those proponents of people's inclusion, dignity, and rights. Demonstrations and images help them learn more effectively. Give written instructions, visual clues, and brief spoken instructions when feasible. Furthermore, the researchers included seventeen student populations, eleven officers and staff, and twelve lecturer populations. For two days in a row, they attended the interactive quotation display by neurodivergent artists, and in response, they contributed drawings that reflected their interpretations of the quotes. An interview served as the second method of gathering data. The researchers also conducted a structured interview with four students, four officers, and three lecturers acting as spokespeople. Quotes from the works of Neurodivergent Artists such as Nintendo, Love, Amsterdam, Suzanne, Kacamata (Glasses), Teman (Friends), Mudik (Homecoming), Menjahit (Sewing), and Iggle can be found in the Interactive Installation activity. Using a mixed-methods approach, the researchers collected and examined the data (Creswell, 2014). It is an approach that blends qualitative and quantitative research techniques. According to the findings, the Amsterdam quote is liked by lecturers, staff, and students alike. In addition, the Love quote sparks curiosity in both students and instructors, indicating a mutual admiration for its meaning. © 2024 IEEE.

The advancement of today's learning technology makes the learning process no longer fully bases on face to face learning, but can achieve by online learning. Online learning is not only useful in overcoming deficiencies in conventional classroom learning, but also a means to meet the learning styles of students who are less fond of and/or dislike face-to-face learning. On the other hand, the main disadvantage of online learning is the lack of face-to-face interaction, while the strength of face-to-face learning is the intensity of student interaction with teachers, the ease of cooperative learning and the clarity of learning materials. In turn, the superiorities on face-to-face learning and online self-learning can be acquired by blended learning. However, blended learning is a learning solution by taking the best advantage of face-to-face classroom learning and online learning. Blended learning has been a learning solution of today's learning. In this study, two blended learning that has different learning content portions between the portion of face-to-face learning materials and online self-learning was conducted to find out which blended learning results produce better pedagogy between two blended learning, and how well the learning outcomes of blended learning are, especially for Algorithm and programming subject. The research results showed the blended learning with 60% face-to-face learning content and 40% online self-learning content delivers learning cognitive competency outcomes worse than 40% face-to-face learning content and 60% online self-learning content. The learning outcome of both blended learning is good, that is greater than 60% from the ideal number. © 2018 IEEE.

Companies that are ready to compete must have effective management. To improve employee performance in effective management, it is necessary to support competent and competent employees in their fields. Employees who have an attitude of struggle, dedication, discipline, and professional ability are very likely to have work performance in carrying out their duties so that they are more efficient and effective. To increase employee morale, the Company will reward the best employees and be loyal to the company. This is done as an appreciation for what the employee has done for the company in achieving the company's targets. Decision making to determine the best employees can be done by the company by assessing the performance that has been done by its employees within a certain period of time. Employee performance appraisal is influenced by several criteria, namely attitude, attendance, performance and Service Period. The decision support system for selecting the best employees uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, where the decision-making process is carried out by assessing alternative choices based on predetermined criteria and can also help the Company to make the best employee decisions. The alternative matrix calculation yields a score of 25.1% for Safrizal, 25.8% for Dedek Rizky, 25.1% for Amira Syakira and 24.0% for Reni Kumala, and the employee who is recommended as the best employee is the employee with the highest score, namely Dedek Rizky with a score of 25.8%. © 2021 IEEE.

A decision support system is a solution to help provide decision recommendations in determining which options to choose as a solution, in this decision support system research, namely analyzing and comparing the Matching Profile method and the SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) method in providing the best choice solution in the case of determining teaching staff acceptance. Determination of Admission, The selected teaching staff, are teaching staff who are in accordance with the criteria and quality. In an educational institution, namely TPQ Anbata, it is a very important issue to get elected teaching staff. One way to get teaching staff who is in accordance with the cafeteria is determined by selecting or determining prospective teaching staff by paying attention to various assessment criteria so that the selected teaching staff is feasible. From the tests that have been carried out, the results obtained include all test cases, and the testing is appropriate. The results of the system calculation accuracy test show that the calculation of Matching Profile and SAW (Simple Additive Weighting Method carried out by the system with manual calculations is correct and the feasibility test. Appropriate to use in making decisions determining the recruitment of teachers than the profile matching method in Anbata TPQ. The difference is in the highest value in each method. In the profile matching method, the highest value is Salman Al Fariz with a value of 4.70 while in the SAW method the highest value is Ali Gufron with a value of 8,778., it can be concluded that the most appropriate method in determining the recruitment of teaching staff at TPQ Anbata is the Profile Matching Method. © 2020 IEEE.

The final decision of the educational assistance recipient in GNOTA Foundation, Jakarta is still processed manually. They usually only look at the father's occupation criteria without looking at other criteria such as the age of the child, the child's orphan status, the occupation of mother, the age of father, the age of mother and other scholarships received. GNOTA Foundation needs to implement a Decision Support System (DSS) for the selection process, so the results are fast and on target. This research applies the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) methods for the selection of education assistance recipients so the criteria can be weighted and the prospective recipient students can be ranked. This research determines the priority weight and importance of each criterion, namely the age of child age (0.18), the status of child (0.22), the occupation of father (0.08), the occupation of mother (0.06), the age of father (0.05), the age of mother (0.04) and other scholarship assistance (0.36). The results of the weighting of these criteria have been tested and declared consistent through the Consistency Ratio (CR) value of 0.070. This study also produces a list of the best ranking students who are prospective recipients of educational assistance. The ranking results have been tested based on compliance with the provisions of the GNOTA Foundation of 92.91%. The system in this study was developed using a prototyping system development model and utilizing the Unified Modeling Language (UML) tool. The prototype functionality in this study works well by using the Blackbox Testing (BBT) model based on Equivalence Partitioning. In addition, the level of user acceptance of the prototype in this study was 81.2% using the Technology Acceptance Method (TAM). © 2022 IEEE.
