In this paper, we present a novel method for activity analysis in outdoor environment. Difficulties, such as low resolution, shadows, long distances, and segmentation problems, usually exist in outdoor environment. To deal with these difficulties, the activity width sequence image which maintains 3D features using 2D representation is exploited to represent the silhouette structure information of each frame and dynamic properties of activity. The activity width vectors are converted to the gray value successively according to the order in activity sequence and the gray image is formed in spatio-temporal space. We regard the activity width sequence image as the texture and choose Local Binary Patterns which is a powerful texture extraction operator to analyze the spatio-temporal pattern. The method is simple and effective. We test our method based on the outdoor database and the results are encouraging.

In this paper, we specially propose a hierarchical framework for movie content analysis. The purpose of our work is trying to realize computers' understanding for movie content, especially "Who, What, Where, How" which occur in the storyline by imitating human perception and cognition. The framework consists of two hierarchies. As for the low level part, we originally construct the human attention model with temporal information motivated by the Weber-Fechner Law to depict the variation of human perception in multiple modalities. As for the high level part, we focus on semantic understanding of different granularities of videos and simulate human cognition for movie content. Based on this hierarchical framework, we present its applications on semantic retrieval, video summarization and content filter. The promising results of users' subjective assessment indicate that the proposed framework is applicable for automatic analysis of movie content by computers. © 2008 IEEE.

With the rapid development of modern economy, which regards satisfying customer demands as its basis, enterprises urgently need to operate effective Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to gain their market and increase their profit or competitive power. To provide enterprises managers with valuable views on customer management, in this paper we discussed on operation design of CRM, and proposed six operation tactics of CRM, including "senior enterprise leaders support CRM application", "integrate CRM strategies with corporate culture", "customer-oriented management system", "train staff to learn CRM knowledge", "enhance data quality of CRM system" and "protect customer information privacy". The proposed tactics will be helpful for practical operation of customer management system effectively.

This paper investigates a multi-component repairable system with double threshold control *** system is composed of n identical and independent components which operate simultaneously at the beginning,and it is down when the number of operating components decreases to k−1(k≤n).When the number of failed components is less than the value L,the repairman repairs them with a low repair *** high repair rate is activated as soon as L failed components present,and continues until the number of failed components drops to the value N−*** the matrix analytical method,the Laplace transform technique and the properties of the phase type distribution,various performance measures including the availability,the rate of occurrence of failures,and the reliability are derived in transient and stationary ***,numerical examples are reported to show the behaviour of the system.

Background Determining how an image is visually appealing is a complicated and subjective task. This motivates the use of a machine-learning model to evaluate image aesthetics automatically by matching the aesthetics of the general public. Although deep learning methods have successfully learned good visual features from images,correctly assessing the aesthetic quality of an image remains a challenge for deep learning. Methods To address this, we propose a novel multiview convolutional neural network to assess image aesthetics assessment through color composition and space formation(IAACS). Specifically, from different views of an image––including its key color components and their contributions, the image space formation, and the image itself––our network extracts the corresponding features through our proposed feature extraction module(FET) and the Image Net weight-based classification model. Result By fusing the extracted features, our network produces an accurate prediction score distribution for image aesthetics. The experimental results show that we have achieved superior performance.

In the domain of conventional image style transfer, remarkable progress has been achieved; nonetheless, certain issues persist. A large grayscale image with only one channel of brightness information lacks diverse color and texture features. This limits the variety in style transformation, resulting in unsatisfactory diversity of effects. To overcome this challenge, the present study introduces an enhanced multi-style transfer approach founded upon the VGG network. To achieve a greater variety of style transfers for single-channel grayscale images. This is accomplished by introducing a dual VGG network architecture coupled with the incorporation of the Gram matrix concept. Additionally, a multi-style fusion module is introduced to merge various style transfers for single-channel grayscale images. The experimental outcomes unequivocally demonstrate that the proposed approach effectively accomplishes manifold style transfers within single-channel grayscale images. Furthermore, apart from retaining the inherent content attributes, it bestows images with fresh visual allure. In comparison to conventional methods, the approach showcased in this study achieves significant advancements in both the quality and diversity of style transfer. Consequently, this innovative approach not only expands the scope of image style transfer applications but also paves the way for a novel potential in the realm of style transformation for single-channel grayscale images.

Immersive Experience of Movie Scenes Based on Convolutional Neural Network

This paper discusses how to use virtual reality (VR) and computer aided design (CAD) technology to enhance the immersive experience of movie scenes. Firstly, DL technology, especially the model of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), is used to classify and identify the interactive objects in the virtual movie scene. Then, the deep reinforcement learning algorithm is used to simulate and experiment these objects to determine the best interaction mode. Finally, the best interactive effect is generated by combining the input information of the audience and the results of the deep reinforcement learning algorithm. CNN is obviously superior to the 3D modeling algorithm based on wavelet neural network (WNN) model in accuracy and recall. This improvement shows that CNN can more accurately identify the key elements and details in VR movie scenes, and has better scene layout optimization ability. The focus of the research is to create a highly realistic virtual movie scene by combining deep learning (DL) technology and computer graphics, so that the audience can interact with the VR scene more naturally. This interactive design can improve the immersive experience of the movie scene and enhance the audience's viewing experience. © 2024 U-turn Press LLC.

To select unlabeled example effectively and reduce classification error, confidence estimation for graph based semi-supervised learning (CEGSL) is proposed. This algorithm combines graph-based semi-supervised learning with collaboration-training. It makes use of structure information of sample to calculate the classification probability of unlabeled example explicitly. With multi-classifiers, the algorithm computes the confidence of unlabeled example implicitly. With dual confidence estimation, the unlabeled example is selected to update classifiers. The comparative experiments on UCI datasets indicate that CEGSL can effectively exploit unlabeled data to enhance the learning performance. © 2012 ACADEMY PUBLISHER.

In modern society, various patterns play an indispensable role. With the help of computer technology, the efficiency of designers in the field of pattern design has been significantly improved. However, in the process of pattern design, we often only rely on the subjective experience of designers, while ignoring the personal preferences of consumers. In order to explore the relationship between different pattern designs and consumers' perceptual evaluation, the Kansei engineering theory is first employed to capture consumers' perceptual evaluation of the patterns. Subsequently, various pattern designs and consumers' perceptual evaluation were utilized as inputs and outputs for the WOA-BP neural network, thereby constructing an intelligent model capable of predicting consumers' perceptual evaluation of different pattern designs. The experimental results demonstrate that the model has a highly accurate prediction level. With this model, designers can quickly adjust the pattern design to better meet the aesthetic needs of today's consumers.

Along with the development of virtual reality (VR), omnidirectional images play an important role in producing multimedia content with an immersive experience. However, despite various existing approaches for omnidirectional image stitching, how to quantitatively assess the quality of stitched images is still insufficiently explored. To address this problem, we first establish a novel omnidirectional image dataset containing stitched images as well as dual-fisheye images captured from standard quarters of 0◦, 90◦, 180◦, and 270◦. In this manner, when evaluating the quality of an image stitched from a pair of fisheye images (e.g., 0◦ and 180◦), the other pair of fisheye images (e.g., 90◦ and 270◦) can be used as the cross-reference to provide ground-truth observations of the stitching regions. Based on this dataset, we propose a set of Omnidirectional Stitching Image Quality Assessment (OS-IQA) metrics. In these metrics, the stitching regions are assessed by exploring the local relationships between the stitched image and its cross-reference with histogram statistics, perceptual hash and sparse reconstruction, while the whole stitched images are assessed by the global indicators of color difference and fitness of blind *** and quantitative experiments show our method outperforms the classic IQA metrics and is highly consistent with human subjective evaluations. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first attempt that assesses the stitching quality of omnidirectional images by using cross-references. © 2019 Association for computing Machinery.
