For high-dimensional water treatment plant data sets and a single rough classifier’s weak classification ability for data sets with many classes,a new computing approach,termed CMBMRCS(water treatment plant Classification Model Based on Multiple Rough Classifier Systems),is ***,by combing rough sets theory,some subset of attributes is ***,each simplified data set establishes a group of rough ***,the water treatment plant data classification result is obtained according to the absolute majority voting *** experimental results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

For high-dimensional water treatment plant data sets and a single rough classifier's weak classification ability for data sets with many classes, a new computing approach, termed CMBMRCS(water treatment plant Classification Model Based on Multiple Rough Classifier Systems), is proposed. First, by combing rough sets theory, some subset of attributes is selected. Then, each simplified data set establishes a group of rough classifiers. Finally, the water treatment plant data classification result is obtained according to the absolute majority voting strategy. The experimental results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

The rich Web information makes the Web users to be drowned in the huge Web data. This paper proposes a new navigation approach termed WUMVPRSM(Web Usage Mining based on Variable Precision Rough Set Model) for Web users browsing a website. First, Log training data sets are reduced using attribute reduction module by rough set. And then, a reduced Log data set is trained to create a rough classifier. The final classification result for identifying Web user is obtained according to rough decision rules. Simulation results illustrate the efficiency of the proposed approaches.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most ordinary kind of dementia. Identifying genes associated with AD is a new topic, and the key is to design algorithm to search AD genes. Gene order is a permutation of genes in which similar genes are ordered together. In this paper, a function is defined on gene order, and function value measures the similarity degree between a gene and its neighbors. Through the function value, the neighbors of a gene can be identified. The genes keeping as neighbor of AD gene (APOE, presenilins 1 or 2) at any stage (control, incipient, moderate, severe) are identified as the candidate of the gene associated with AD, where AD gene has been proved acting risk factor of AD. Experiment results of this paper have been proved some genes associated with AD.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common form of dementia, little is known about its complicated mechanisms. To deeply understand its mechanisms, DNA microarray expression profiling and its analysis appears particularly promising. In this paper, the correlation of the DNA microarray expression data which is downloaded from GEO Datasets, NCBI [1], is analyzed via Principal Component Analysis (PCA), the character of strong linear correlation is observed. And this character implies that the information of gene co-regulation is mapped into the compactness of clustering of expression data possibly (i.e., all data clustering tightly in different classes). Thus, through the computerized compactness, the potential co-regulated genes can be identified.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common form of dementia. One of the research topics is to identify the genes associated with AD through analyzing DNA microarray data by computation. Holding view of vertex coloring of graph theory, in this paper, a new clustering method named vertex coloring clustering (VCC) is presented. VCC is specified for gene clustering, which makes similar gene expression cluster tightly in same class and they share same gene characteristics or function. So, VCC can be also used to identify the genes associated with AD. Using VCC, 27 candidate AD genes are identified in this paper, and 5 genes agree with other men's study.

The research of gait independent of view angle has become an urgent problem to be solved for gait recognition. In this paper, we propose a gait recognition method that the subject can walk at an arbitrary angle. The gait is detected through background subtraction technique. The contour is represented by a novel approach which includes not only the spatial body contour but also the temporal information. To prove be independent of view angle, the relationship model of the walking azimuth angle and the reference view has been modeled. We transform the walking angle to the most similar canonical views angle. Three canonical views angles are adopted in this paper. The errors which come from transformation when the walk angle is far from the only canonical view will greatly be reduced. We test our method on multi-views database. The correct classification ratios show that our method is a nice try. © 2010 IEEE.

Edge and detail preserving is a very important requirement in blind medical denoising since the details can help doctors diagnosis diseases. Bilateral flter (BF) is a famous filter in preserving details while smoothing. However, its performance in image denoising is unsatisfied. The main reason for this situation is that the bilateral filter uses gray levels of pixels directly, which causes the propagation of noise (PoN). In this paper, we propose a method, named context bilateral filter (CBF), which conditions the bilateral filter on the context. That is, the range filter is not defined on the gray levels directly while it is defned on the context! Since context can be defined as a smoother version for the image, the PoN can be suppressed greatly. In order to demonstrate the good performance for our method, experimental results using real medical images are given. © 2010 IEEE.

Ultrasound images are effected by serious noises. In this paper, we propose an adaptive method by determining a variable neighborhood of each pixel in ultrasound image denoising. The real neighbors of a pixel can be chosen according to the local energy of the pixel, the distance between the pixel and its close pixels, the requirement of reliable estimate. All of the real neighbors of a pixel form a neighborhood, named the real neighborhood (RN) of the pixel. The RN s can preserve edges and obtain reliable estimates simultaneously, which can not be met at the same time and becomes a tradeoff problem in existing methods. The experiments also show better performance both in denoising and edges preserving than the state-of-art techniques. © 2010 IEEE.
