Vision language models (VLMs) have achieved impressive progress in diverse applications, becoming a prevalent research direction. In this paper, we build FIRE, a feedback-refinement dataset, consisting of 1.1M multi-turn conversations that are derived from 27 source datasets, empowering VLMs to spontaneously refine their responses based on user feedback across diverse tasks. To scale up the data collection, FIRE is collected in two components: FIRE-100K and FIRE-1M, where FIRE-100K is generated by GPT-4V, and FIRE-1M is freely generated via models trained on FIRE-100K. Then, we build FIRE-Bench, a benchmark to comprehensively evaluate the feedback-refining capability of VLMs, which contains 11K feedback-refinement conversations as the test data, two evaluation settings, and a model to provide feedback for VLMs. We develop the FIRE-LLaVA model by fine-tuning LLaVA on FIRE-100K and FIRE-1M, which shows remarkable feedback-refining capability on FIRE-Bench and outperforms untrained VLMs by 50%, making more efficient user-agent interactions and underscoring the significance of the FIRE dataset. © 2024 Neural information processing systems foundation. Anomaly detection on graphs has recently attracted considerable attention due to its broad range of high-impact applications, including cybersecurity, financial transactions, and recommendation systems. Although many efforts have thus far been made, how to effectively handle the high inconsistency between users' behavior and labels, a fundamental issue in anomaly detection, has not yet received sufficient concern. Moreover, the inconsistency problem is hard to investigate and even deteriorates the performance of anomaly detectors. To this end, we propose a novel graph self-supervised learning framework, Capsule Graph Infomax (termed CapsGI), to overcome the inconsistency of anomaly detection. Inspired by the recent advances of capsules on images, we explore another possibility of reforming the node embedding by capsule ideas to represent the unique node's properties. Concretely, by disentangling heterogeneous factors underlying each node representation, we can establish node capsules such that their representation can reflect intrinsic node properties. To strengthen the connection among normal nodes, CapsGI further represents the part-whole contrastive learning between lower-level capsules (part) and higher-level capsules (whole) by explicitly considering the context graph relations. Extensive experiments on multiple real-world datasets demonstrate that our model significantly outperforms state-of-the-art models. © 2024 ACM.

As the largest class of small non-coding RNAs, piRNAs primarily present in the reproductive cells of mammals, which influence post-transcriptional processes of mRNAs in multiple ways. Effective methods for predicting piRNA and mRNA target relationships can help identify piRNA functions, investigate the possibility of piRNAs as biomarkers and therapeutic targets. In this study, we propose a computational approach for classifying the relationships of piRNA-mRNA pairs based on an interactive inference network (IIN). First, we gather piRNA-mRNA target data, collect sequence data by position alignment, and construct a benchmark dataset. Furthermore, a reliable negative set is constructed by positive-unlabeled learning. Finally, we view a piRNA and a mRNA sequence as a premise and hypothesis sentence, respectively, and IIN model is used to predict the relationship between them. The experiments demonstrate that our method effectively characterizes piRNA-mRNA interaction and could be beneficial for researchers to investigate piRNA functions. © 2023 IEEE.

This study explores the effectiveness of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) in automatically classifying skin cancer for e-health applications. The trained model showcases impressive performance by leveraging the HAM10000 dataset, which includes a wide range of skin lesion images from seven different classes. The parameters and architecture of the CNN model are presented in a systematic manner, providing valuable insights into the reasoning behind its design. The model is optimized using the Adam optimizer and annealing techniques to ensure efficient convergence. The model's performance is assessed on validation and test datasets, showcasing an accuracy of 78.55% and 76.49%, respectively, for skin cancer classification. This study highlights the significant potential of CNN as a powerful tool for automating the diagnosis of skin cancer, which is in line with the growing trend of using deep learning for medical image analysis. © 2024 IEEE.

Internet of Vehicles (IoV) has become an indispensable data sensing and processing platform in Internet of Things (IoT) for intelligent transportation. The mounted cameras on the vehicles along with the fixed roadside cameras are utilized to provide pictorial services for IoV users and law enforcement agencies. For such forensic services, ensuring the security and privacy of vehicles while guaranteeing the efficiency of data transmission among vehicles is important. In this paper, we propose a lightweight incentive authentication scheme (LIAS) for forensic services in IoV. LIAS is developed on a three-tier architecture containing cloud layer, fog layer, and user layer. LIAS uses pairing-free certificateless signcryption, pseudonym update mechanism, and incentive mechanism to realize a secure anonymous authentication efficiently. We conduct correctness and security analysis, as well as performance analysis and evaluation to validate the high security and efficiency of LIAS. Experimental results reveal that, the communication and computation overheads as well as the message delay and packet loss of LIAS are much lower than those of state-of-the-art techniques. Note to Practitioners - This paper is motivated by the security and privacy issues of forensic services in IoV for intelligent transportation. Our goal is to improve the security and privacy of vehicles while guaranteeing the lightweight and incentive of data transmission among the vehicles. Fog-assisted IoV is introduced to fully utilize the capacities of near-user edge devices as well as the connections between fog nodes and devices. However, it still faces the difficulties in ensuring vehicles' security and privacy. Moreover, vehicles' information dissemination could be easily monitored because of the unavoidable defect of wireless communication. Thereby, it is essential to guarantee the security and privacy of vehicles while enhancing the efficiency of vehicles' data transmission during the forensic service.

In this paper, Q-value theory of conventional antennas is used to analyze reasons of low radiation performance of acoustics promoted antennas, where we modify the radiating structure of existing acoustics promoting antenna using the simulations to get the required improvement on radiation performance. The simulation experiments are carried out in the finite element simulation software Comsol Multiphysics to analyze the radiating performance. © 2023 IEEE.

The sparse interactions between users and items have aggravated the difficulty of their representations in recommender systems. Existing methods leverage tags to alleviate the sparsity problem but ignore prevalent logical relations among items and tags (e.g., membership, hierarchy, and exclusion), which can be leveraged to enhance the accuracy of modeling user preferences and conducting recommendations. To this end, we propose to extract logical relations among item tags from existing tag taxonomies and exploit the individual strengths of the Poincaré and the Lorentz models in hyperbolic space for logical relation modeling towards enhanced recommendations. Moreover, we find that the logical relations directly extracted from existing tag taxonomies can be inaccurate and coarse. Therefore, we further devise innovative consistency-based and granularity-based weighting mechanisms based on user behavior patterns for data-driven logical relation mining that can be jointly optimized along with recommendations in an end-to-end fashion. Extensive experiments on four real-world benchmark datasets show drastic performance gains brought by our proposed framework, which constantly achieves an average of 8.25% improvement over state-of-the-art competitors regarding both Recall and NDCG metrics. Insightful case studies further demonstrate that our automatically refined logical relations are highly accurate and interpretable. © 2024 IEEE.

Beyond Euclidean Structures: Collaborative Topological Graph Learning for Multiview Clustering

Graph-based multiview clustering (MVC) approaches have demonstrated impressive performance by leveraging the consistency properties of multiview data in an unsupervised manner. However, existing methods for graph learning heavily rely on either Euclidean structures or the manifold topological structures derived from fixed view-specific graphs. Unfortunately, these approaches may not accurately reflect the consensus topological structure in a multiview setting. To address this limitation and enhance the intrinsic graph learning process, an adaptive exploration of a more appropriate consistency topological structure is required. Toward this end, we propose a novel approach called collaborative topological graph learning (CTGL) for MVC. The key idea is to adaptively discover the consistent topological structure to guide intrinsic graph learning. We achieve this by introducing an auxiliary consistency graph that formulates the topological relevance learning function. However, estimating the auxiliary consistency graph is not straightforward, as it is based on the learned view-specific graphs and requires prior availability. To overcome this challenge, we develop a collaborative learning strategy that simultaneously learns both the auxiliary consistency graph and view-specific graphs using tensor learning techniques. This strategy enables the adaptive exploration of the consistency topological structure during graph learning, resulting in more accurate clustering outcomes. In this paper,we propose a contact-free wheat moisture monitoring system,termed Wi-Wheatþ,to address the several limitations of the existing grain moisture detection technologies,such as time-consuming process,expensive equipment,low accuracy,and difficulty in real-time *** proposed system is based on Commodity WiFi and is easy to *** WiFi CSI data,this paper proposes a feature extraction method based on multi-scale and multi-channel *** feasibility and stability of the system are validated through experiments in both Line-Of-Sight(LOS)and Non-Line-Of-Sight(NLOS)scenarios,where ten types of wheat moisture content are tested using multi-class Support Vector Machine(SVM).Compared with the Wi-Wheat system proposed in our prior work,Wi-Wheatþhas higher efficiency,requiring only a simple training process,and can sense more wheat moisture content levels.

Accurately synthesizing talking face videos and capturing fine facial features for individuals with long hair presents a significant challenge. To tackle these challenges in existing methods, we propose a decomposed per-embedding Gaussian fields (DEGSTalk), a 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS)-based talking face synthesis method for generating realistic talking faces with long hairs. Our DEGSTalk employs Deformable Pre-Embedding Gaussian Fields, which dynamically adjust pre-embedding Gaussian primitives using implicit expression coefficients. This enables precise capture of dynamic facial regions and subtle expressions. Additionally, we propose a Dynamic Hair-Preserving Portrait Rendering technique to enhance the realism of long hair motions in the synthesized videos. Results show that DEGSTalk achieves improved realism and synthesis quality compared to existing approaches, particularly in handling complex facial dynamics and hair preservation.
