Relay navigation strategy study on intelligent drive on urban roads

In order to solve navigation problem of intelligent vehicle driving on urban roads and to achieve the navigation in intersection area, intersection transition area and section area. The relay navigation strategy and algorithm can solve the navigation problem of intelligent vehicle driving in typical urban roads such as intersection area, intersection transition area and section area, realizing seamless handover among different typical areas. Bezier curve function model was introduced to different typical areas, which solved the self-adaption recognition problem in different typical areas and revised positional accuracy with the help of cloud computing positioning service. In order to explain the strategy implement, an instance based on the strategy was adopted. Instance analysis indicates that as for the navigation problem in intersection area, intersection transition area and section area, if the relay navigation strategy is utilized, the self-adaption recognition problem in different typical areas can be handled. Based on the relay navigation strategy, the drive of intelligent vehicle on urban roads can effectively solve the self-adaption recognition problem in different typical areas in urban and further solve driving problems of intelligent vehicle of the same category in urban roads.

The Sunway Taihu Light supercomputer is the world’s first system with a peak performance greater than 100 PFlops. In this paper, we provide a detailed introduction to the Taihu Light system. In contrast with other existing heterogeneous supercomputers, which include both CPU processors and PCIe-connected many-core accelerators(NVIDIA GPU or Intel Xeon Phi), the computing power of Taihu Light is provided by a homegrown many-core SW26010 CPU that includes both the management processing elements(MPEs)and computing processing elements(CPEs) in one chip. With 260 processing elements in one CPU, a single SW26010 provides a peak performance of over three TFlops. To alleviate the memory bandwidth bottleneck in most applications, each CPE comes with a scratch pad memory, which serves as a user-controlled cache. To support the parallelization of programs on the new many-core architecture, in addition to the basic C/C++and Fortran compilers, the system provides a customized Sunway Open ACC tool that supports the Open ACC2.0 syntax. This paper also reports our preliminary efforts on developing and optimizing applications on the Taihu Light system, focusing on key application domains, such as earth system modeling, ocean surface wave modeling, atomistic simulation, and phase-field simulation.

Appropriation of social media for fostering effective tacit knowledge sharing: developing conceptual model

With the rising popularity of social media in the past few years, several researches ratiocinate that this type of interactive and collaborative technology could be a beneficial tool for the sharing of tacit knowledge. Nevertheless, very few literatures have tackled the subject of how social media could facilitate tacit knowledge sharing among medical practitioners, and what are its contributions in the area. Thus, the factors that drive individuals to share tacit knowledge need to be investigated further and included in literature. Through a systematic literature review, this study proposes seven enabling conditions which could potentially facilitate the sharing of tacit knowledge. TAM was applied as a novelty in this study in investigating the factors influencing knowledge sharing via social media, whilst taking into account the mediation effects of Attitude in social media usage. This study uncovered an important correlation between virtual settings and the conversion of tacit knowledge, which affects organizational members who are not co-located physically but have a crucial need for sharing information.

The development of web applications has a crucial role as most organizations have their own corporate web applications to meet the needs of their respective businesses. Different needs create different complexities which represent a new challenge to web application development. In order to ensure the timely delivery of a project, software providers offering this service choose to use Open Sources (OSS) as an alternative. Since OSS consist of an existing framework that can be implemented directly into the application, how far does this affect the complexity of the effort estimation? A number of research papers have outlined the efforts made to refine the complexity of this field. However, to our best knowledge a systematic overview of the research done on web application development that involves OSS usage does not appear to exist. Hence, the aim of this paper is to conduct a systematic literature review (SLR) of OSS web application development. For this purpose, 34 papers from a total of 67 papers were identified and studied. The findings of this study indicate that (a) no research has been carried out on the field mentioned;(b) there is no early effort estimation model for web projects that involve the usage of OSS. Therefore, this work provides an overview of the field besides identifying future research possibilities.

In traditional multiple instance learning (MIL), both positive and negative bags are required to learn a prediction function. However, a high human cost is needed to know the label of each bag - positive or negative. Only positive bags contain our focus (positive instances) while negative bags consist of noise or background (negative instances). So we do not expect to spend too much to label the negative bags. Contrary to our expectation, nearly all existing MIL methods require enough negative bags besides positive ones. In this paper we propose an algorithm called 'Positive Multiple Instance' (PMI), which learns a classifier given only a set of positive bags. So the annotation of negative bags becomes unnecessary in our method. PMI is constructed based on the assumption that the unknown positive instances in positive bags be similar each other and constitute one compact cluster in feature space and the negative instances locate outside this cluster. The experimental results demonstrate that PMI achieves the performances close to or a little worse than those of the traditional MIL algorithms on benchmark and real data sets. However, the number of training bags in PMI is reduced significantly compared with traditional MIL algorithms. © 2016 IEEE.

Inside the sets of data, hidden knowledge can be acquired by using neural network. These knowledge are described within topology, using activation function and connection weight at hidden neurons and output neurons. Is hardly to be understanding since neural networks act as a black box. The black box problem can be solved by extracting knowledge (rule) from trained neural network. Thus, the aim of this paper is to extract valuable information from trained neural networks using decision. Further, the Levenberg Marquardt algorithm was applied to training 30 networks for each datasets, using learning parameters and basis weights differences. As the number of hidden neurons increase, mean squared error and mean absolute percentage error decrease, and more time they need to deal with the dataset, that is result of investigation from neural network architectures. Decision tree induction generally performs better in knowledge extraction result with accuracy and precision level from 84.07 to 93.17 percent. The extracted rule can be used to explaining the process of the neural network systems and also can be applied in other systems like expert systems.

Nowadays, open source software is playing a big role in several business contexts. Open source systems have moved from just educational projects to mainstream research area. Successful and active open source projects are numbering more than thousands that needs to be tested and their quality level needs to be determined. There are several ways to measure the quality of software systems. Mainly, measuring the ability of test cases to detect and find defects is used. This research focuses on finding a good technique to evaluate the effectiveness of test cases for finding defects in open source systems. Experiments are conducted on six OSS (open source software). The result shows how the effectiveness of test suite of could give an indication about studied systems quality.

Although the development of machine intelligence is far from simulating all the cognitive competence of our brains, still it is absolutely possible to peel the driving activity from people＇s cognitive activities and then make the machine finish some low-level, complicated and lasting driving cognition by simulating our brains. The goal of driving is to replace drivers and free them from boring driving activities. Based on some studies on unmanned driving, this paper summarizes and analyzes the background, significance, research status and key technology of unmanned driving and the research group also introduces some research on brain cognition of driving and sensor placement of intelligent vehicles, which offers more meaningful reference to push the study of unmanned driving.
