An Alternate Approach for Designing a Domain Specific Image Search Prototype Using Histogram

Everyone knows that thousand of words are represented by a single image. As a result, image search has become a very popular mechanism for the web-searchers. Image search means, the search results are produced by the search engine should be a set of images along with their web-page Unified Resource Locator (URL). Now web-searcher can perform two types of image search, they are “Text to Image” and “Image to Image” search. In “Text to Image” search, search query should be a text. Based on the input text data, system will generate a set of images along with their web-page URL as an output. On the other hand, in “Image to Image” search, search query should be an image and based on this image, system will generate a set of images along with their web-page URL as an output. According to the current scenarios, “Text to Image” search mechanism always not returns perfect result. It matches the text data and then displays the corresponding images as an output, which is not always perfect. To resolve this problem, web researchers have introduced the “Image to Image” search mechanism. In this paper, we have also proposed an alternate approach of “Image to Image” search mechanism using Histogram.

Current paper introduces a Constraint Driven Stratificatified Model for RDF with Hypergraph-Graph (HG(2)) model of data storage which can be represented as a hybrid data structure based on Hypergraph and Graph. In general, the schema component of RDF i,e RDFS is unstratified in nature. In order to establish a sustained information integration of RDF and Topic Map or other stratified semantic metamodel, imposing some constraints on RDF (without any semantic loss) evolves as an imperative pre condition. While HG(2) data structure is claimed to realize complex combinatorial structures, the current investigation reports a novel HG(2) based model for constraint driven stratification of RDF without any loss of semantic expressiveness. © 2013 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.

Current paper introduces a Hyper graph-Graph (HG(2)) model of data storage which can be represented as a hybrid data structure based on Hyper graph and Graph. The proposed data structure is claimed to realize complex combinatorial structures. The formal definition of the data structure is presented along with the proper justification from real world scenarios. The paper reports some elementary concepts of Hyper graph and presents theoretical aspects of the proposed data structure including the concepts of Path, Cycle etc. The detailed analysis of weighted HG(2) is presented along with discussions on Cost involved with HG(2) paths.

Current paper discusses the methodologies involved in integrating Resource Description Framework (RDF) into a Hyper Graph - Graph (HG(2)) data structure in order to preserve the semantics of the information contained in RDF document for dealing future cross platform information portability issues. The entire semantic web is mostly dominated by few information frameworks like RDF, Topic Map, OWL etc. Hence semantic web currently faces the problem of non existence of common information meta-model which can integrate them all for expanded semantic search. On the background of development of Hyper Graph - Graph (HG(2)) data structure, an RDF document if integrated to it, maintains the original semantics and exposes some critical semantic and object mapping lift as well which could further be exploited for semantic search and information transitional problems. The focus of the paper is to present the mapping constructs between RDF elements and Hyper Graph - Graph (HG(2)) elements.

In the coming era of semantic web linked data analysis is a very burning issue for efficient searching and retrieval of information. One way of establishing this link is to implement subject-predicate-object relationship through Set Theory approach which is already done in our previous work. For analyzing inter-relationship between two RDF Graphs, RDFSchema(RDFS) should also be taken care of. In the present paper, an adaptive combination rule based framework has been proposed for establishment of S-P-O (Subject-Predicate-Object)relationship and RDF Graph searching is reported. Hence the identification of criteria for inter-relationship of RDF Graphs opens up new road in semantic search.

An important component of any web search engine is its crawler, which is also known as robot or spider. An efficient set of crawlers make any search engine more powerful, apart from its other measures of performance, such as its ranking algorithm, storage mechanism, indexing techniques, etc. In this paper, we have proposed an extended technique for crawling over the World Wide web (WWW) on behalf of a search engine. This is an approach with multiple crawlers working in parallel combined with the mechanism of focused crawling (Chakrabarti et al., 1999a, 2002;Mukhopadhyay et al., 2006). In this approach, the total structure of any website is divided into several number of levels based on the hyperlink-structure for downloading web pages from that website (Chakrabarti et al., 1999b;Mukhopadhyay and Singh, 2004). The number of crawlers of each level is not fixed, rather dynamic in this context. It is determined at execution time on demand basis using threaded program based on the number of hyperlinks of a specific web page. This paper also proposes a focused hierarchical crawling technique, where crawlers are created dynamically at runtime for different domains to crawl the web pages with the essence of resource sharing. web search engine uses indexing for management of web-pages in a mannered way. web-pages are well distributed within the database of server. Both forward and inverted indexing is employed to tackle web-pages as a part of its functional design. This indexing mechanism helps in retrieving data from the database based on user query. In this paper, an efficient solution to handle the indexing problem is proposed with the introduction of non-linear single cycle multiple attractor cellular automata (SMACA). This paper also reports an analysis on SMACA using rule vector graph (RVG). This work simultaneously shows generation of SMACA by using specific rule sequence. Searching mechanism is done with O(n) complexity. SMACA provides an implicit memory to store the patterns. Search operation to identify the class of a pattern out of several classes boils down to running a cellular automata (CA) for one time step. This demands storage of the CA rule vector (RV) and the seed values. SMACA is based on sound theoretical foundation of CA technology. © 2008, Inderscience Publishers.

The web has grown in leaps and bounce in the last decade. The size of the web has become so large that it has become very difficult to find out the necessary information from the web. Search engines help us in our quest of finding the required information on the web. These search engines over the years have also developed themselves in a grand manner. With the advent of ontology based search engine, has only helped the cause. Ontology based search engines are transforming the whole idea of searching into a new league of its own. In this paper we propose a novel approach for proper construction and searching ontology. This proposition of ours will help in the development of a very well organized ontology which in tern will help us in searching the web in a very useful and organized manner. Thus reducing the unwanted search results. © 2007 IEEE.
