This paper analyzes the maximum achievable transmission capacity of the D2D communication system under heterogeneous networks. The heterogeneous networks contain two primary systems working on independent bands and D2D communication guarantees the target outage probabilities of both systems on each band. By utilizing stochastic geometry, the effects of the spatial densities and the transmission power allocation ratio on the achievable transmission capacity are presented. Moreover, the optimal transmission density of D2D pairs and the optimal power allocation ratio are derived. The maximum capacity of D2D communication is defined based on the former optimal value from theoretical results. It is shown that the optimal power allocation ratio is proportional to the product of bandwidth, node density and transmission power of two primary systems.

This paper investigates optimal resource allocation in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) based multiple two-way relay systems operating with analog network coding (ANC) protocol. We formulate a joint optimization problem considering power allocation, relay selection and subcarrier paring to maximize the sum capacity under individual power constraints on each node. By applying dual method, an unified optimization framework is provided and the problem is solved efficiently. Based on this framework, we further propose three suboptimal algorithms. The complexity of optimal algorithm (ORA) and three suboptimal algorithms are evaluated, and the analysis results show that the complexity of ORA is only a polynomial function of the number of subcarriers and relay nodes. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed ORA scheme yields substantial performance improvement over baseline scheme, and suboptimal algorithms can achieve a trade off between performance and complexity.

Bayesian Compressive Sensing (BCS) observes s-parse signal from the statistics viewpoint. In BCS, a Bayesian hierarchy is established utilizing Bayesian inference, thus gives the reconstruction algorithm plenty of robust and flexibility. When dealing with distributed scenario, Bayesian hierarchy is also an effective method. Not only can statistic model be built on the sparse signal itself, but also the inter-correlation between distributed signals can be exploited from statistic viewpoint. Based on BCS, connection between distributed signals is studied and utilized. By adopting spike and slab model, a Bayesian hierarchy including inter-correlation is established to model the distributed compressive sensing (DCS) architecture. With the help of Gibbs sampler, the hierarchy becomes solvable. Simulation results show it has a manifest promotion to reconstruction performance.

A rank adaptive beamforming scheme for Long Term Evolution (LTE) system with imperfect channel state information (CSI) is proposed in this paper, where the rank of user equipments (UEs) is adapted based on two configurable thresholds: channel quality indicator (CQI) threshold and channel eigenvalue ratio threshold. In this scheme, the channel eigenvalue ratio threshold varies with channel estimation error in contrast to previous fixed threshold in rank adaptation. Moreover, the adaptation parameter of eigenvalue ratio threshold can be optimized based on hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback information and current transmission mode. By introducing these configurable thresholds and parameter optimization, this scheme can achieve more accurate beam-forming rank adaptation and resist the performance loss due to imperfect CSI. Simulation results show that our proposed rank adaptive beamforming scheme can obtain tradeoff between system robustness and spectrum efficiency.
