A General Framework for Intelligent IoT Data Acquisition and Sharing in an Untrusted Environment Based on Blockchain

Traditional Io T systems suffer from high equipment management costs and difficulty in trustworthy data sharing caused by *** provides a feasible research direction to solve these problems. The main challenge at this stage is to integrate the blockchain from the resourceconstrained Io T devices and ensure the data of Io T system is credible. We provide a general framework for intelligent Io T data acquisition and sharing in an untrusted environment based on the blockchain, where gateways become Oracles. A distributed Oracle network based on Byzantine Fault Tolerant algorithm is used to provide trusted data for the blockchain to make intelligent Io T data trustworthy. An aggregation contract is deployed to collect data from various Oracle and share the credible data to all on-chain users. We also propose a gateway data aggregation scheme based on the REST API event publishing/subscribing mechanism which uses SQL to achieve flexible data aggregation. The experimental results show that the proposed scheme can alleviate the problem of limited performance of Io T equipment, make data reliable, and meet the diverse data needs on the chain.

The paper investigates the hidden relationships among speech samples by applying graph tools. Specifically, we first estimate an applicable graph topology for unstructured speech signals, which can map speech signals into the vertex domain successfully and construct as Speech graph signals(SGSs). On the basis, we define a new graph Fourier transform for SGSs, which can investigate its related graph Fourier analysis. Moreover,we propose a new Graph structure spectral subtraction(GSSS) method for speech enhancement under different noisy environments. Simulation results show that the performance of the GSSS method can be significantly improved than the classical Basic spectral subtraction(BSS) method in terms of the average Segmental signal-tonoise ratio(SSNR), Perceptual evaluation of speech quality(PESQ) and the computational complexity.

With the rise of the Internet of Everything, machine-type wireless video applications like intelligent surveillance are increasingly becoming mainstream network services. However, the massive transmission of video streams heavily burdens wireless networks. Existing methods typically establish a correlation between the transmitted content and the quality of experience or service, making it challenging to balance trade-offs among decision quality, bandwidth utilization, and latency requirements. To address this issue fundamentally, this paper proposes a novel perspective by designing wireless video transmission strategies from the angle of decision quality, where only the content that impacts the decision outcomes is transmitted. The highlight of this paper is designing a lightweight yet efficient binary classifier that predicts whether the current content will change decision outcomes based on content discrepancies, measured only through pixel-level differences and macroblock-level similarity. Furthermore, these discrepancies can be used to distinguish the background, thereby further saving bandwidth by reusing the background information. Additionally, a fine-tuning module is incorporated to flexibly update the classifier model, ensuring adaptability across various scenarios. Extensive results demonstrate that the proposed strategy achieves over 81% redundant bandwidth savings while maintaining decision quality and catering to strict latency requirements on computation-constrained devices. © 2024 IEEE.

Single-photon interference is the essential key for the recently well-known twin-field quantum key distribution (TF-QKD) to break the linear rate-distance limit and requires beams with identical polarizations. Inspired by this fact and aiming to improve the secret key rate, we propose a hybrid high-dimensional QKD named the interfering-or-not-interfering QKD (INI-QKD), in which both the polarization and phase degrees of freedom (DOFs) are adopted as information carriers. The protocol's security proof is analyzed based on entanglement distillation and three defined effective events, X1, X2, and X3. The simulation shows that the X1 event, from which only the phase information is extracted, exceeds TF-QKD's variants, while the X2 and X3 events, in which both types of information are decoded, can achieve twice the secret key rate as measurement-device-independent QKD (MDI-QKD). It is also proven that by adding the polarization DOF, INI-QKD obtains more resistance to phase mismatch than TF-QKD. Remarkably, these can all be achieved by simply altering the TF-QKD's measurement setup to that of MDI-QKD.

Deep Learning Empowered Real-Time Haptic communications for IoT

The advancement of the Internet of Things (IoT) has enabled a variety of innovative consumer electronics applications. In particular, multi-modal applications integrating audio, video, and haptic interactions have emerged, offering users more immersive experiences and enhanced remote interaction capabilities. However, the distributed and fragmented nature of IoT network resources presents significant challenges for ensuring haptic communications under strict constraints. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a joint coding and network resource scheduling solution for haptic communications in IoT environments. First, we design a scalable and flexible haptic coding scheme that supports efficient and seamless haptic streaming across heterogeneous IoT networks. Second, we introduce a deep learning-based imperceptible Quality of Experience (QoE) recognition method, which uses emotional immersion as an evaluation metric to achieve unobtrusive QoE monitoring. Finally, based on user QoE feedback, we develop an on-demand cooperative network resource scheduling strategy to ensure high QoE, reduce network resource wastage, and optimize the utilization of fragmented IoT resources. Simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed architecture and strategies. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

Automatic acne detection can help people more quickly detect acne disease. At present, most of the researches are based on two-stage detectors, and the researches based on single-stage detectors are very few. However, smaller and faster models are required in practical applications. In this paper, we build a faster and more accurate acne detection model based on YOLOX. First, we propose an Attention Enhanced Feature Pyramid network (AEFPN) to improve the efficiency and quality of feature fusion. It works by controlling the delivery of feature information and using attention. Then, we propose a stronger data augmentation strategy named MixAug, which uses Copy-Paste and Mixup by turning with a certain probability to make the model converging faster and the training curve smoother. In addition, to assign higher quality samples for small objects, we use Normalized Wasserstein Distance to improve the label assignment strategy called Simplified Optimal Transport Assignment (SimOTA). Finally, we conducted a number of experiments on the AcneSCU dataset. The results demonstrate the proposed method could improve the performance of YOLOX in acne detection, allowing YOLOX to increase 2.62% average precision (AP). At the same time, it can effectively improve the convergence speed of the model. Our model is superior to the current research in model size, detection speed and accuracy.

The problem of vehicle routing planning(VRP) has far-reaching influence, and is widely used in vehicle scheduling,industrial production, transportation, logistics and distribution. The study of VRP and its associated derivations has grown significantly in recent years. So, starting with the fundamental VRP, this paper categorizes the VRP based on its traits and real-world applications. It then in-depth analyses the capacity constrained VRP, time window VRP, batched delivery VRP,dynamic VRP, and stochastic demand VRP, and provides an update on each type of VRP's research. Additionally, a summary of the VRP problem-solving methods is provided. The study of evolutionary algorithms is the main topic of this paper, and the fundamental solution method is provided in accordance with the development of the algorithms.

To mitigate the severe effect of pilot contamination, a novel graph coloring (NGC) based algorithm is applied to pilot assignment in cell-free massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. Specifically, firstly, the potential pilot contamination intensity among users is calculated by utilizing the large-scale fading between users and access points (APs). Then, the contamination threshold is set to perform the sparsification and an interference graph describing the user interference relationship is constructed. Finally, the proposed algorithm is used to implement pilot assignment in the interference graph. In addition, an iterative grid search (IGS) approach is adopted to update the threshold to ensure that the system downlink sum-rate is maximized. The numerical results reveal that the proposed NGC pilot assignment algorithm with optimized thresholds can remarkably improve the system performance compared with previous pilot assignment schemes. © 2021 IEEE.

Recently, numerous clustering and power control approaches have been developed to optimize network performance for cell-free massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. Notably, deep reinforcement learning (DRL) has emerged as a promising solution for network optimization. This paper investigates the joint cooperation clustering and downlink power control problem in cell-free massive MIMO, utilizing the deep deterministic policy gradient (DDPG) algorithm to maximize the long-term global average proportional fairness (PF). Our results demonstrate that the proposed DDPG method effectively outperforms the baselines in both clustering and power control. Furthermore, the proposed scheme exhibits robustness as it maintains superior performance even as the number of clusters varies. © 2023 IEEE.
