Biomedical ontology matching aims at determining the heterogeneous biomed-ical concepts, and bridging the semantic gap between heterogeneous biomedical ontologies. The foundation of a biomedical ontology matching technique is the Biomedical Concept Similarity Measure (BCSM), which calculates the similarity value between two biomed-ical concepts. Since various BCSMs have different advantages, usually several BCSMs are aggregated together to improve the result’s confidence. How to tune the aggregating weights to ensure the quality of the alignment is called biomedical ontology meta-matching problem, which is a challenge in the ontology matching domain. Currently, researchers mainly focus on how to tune the aggregating weights for various similarity measures to improve the quality of the ontology alignments. However, the ignorance of the effects brought about by different biomedical concept mapping’s preference on different similarity measures significantly reduces the alignment’s quality. To overcome this drawback, in this work, we formally define the biomedical ontology meta-matching problem, and then present an Ordered Weighted Average (OWA) based approach to automatically aggregate various biomedical concept similarity measures. In our method, the aggregating weights determined for each concept mapping is associated with the ordered position of the similarity value instead of a particular concept similarity measure. The experiment utilizes the large biomed track provided by Ontology Alignment Evaluation Initiative (OAEI) to test our proposal’s performance, and the experimental results show the effectiveness of our proposal. © 2019, Taiwan Ubiquitous Information. This paper investigates the distributed motion planning of multiple robot arms with limited communications in the presence of noises. To do this, a nonlinearly-activated noise-tolerant zeroing neural network (NANTZNN) is designed and presented for the first time for solving the presented distributed scheme online. Theoretical analyses and simulation results show the effectiveness and accuracy of the presented distributed scheme with the aid of NANTZNN model.

With the rapid development of the internet, applications of recommendation systems for online shops and entertainment platforms become more and more popular. In order to improve the effectiveness of recommendation, external information has been incorporated into various algorithms, such as location and social relationship. However, most algorithms only focus on the introduction of external information without depth analysis of the intrinsic mechanism in the external information. This paper proposed a transfer model of social trusted relationship, and optimized the reliability of the transfer model using pruning algorithm based on original trust recommendation. A credible social relationship macro-transfer model based on iterations of new credible relationships is defined by the similarity of social relationships. With a certain interest topic as a source of information, a micro-transfer model achieves the theme of interest and credibility of the expansion using social information dissemination algorithm. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the macro and micro credible transfer models, we used the Mantra search tree pruning algorithm and the optimization algorithm of similar category replacing similar products. The experimental results show that the proposed method based on the macroscopic and microscopic transfer models of the trusted relationship enhances the success rate and stability of the recommended system.

The speed control of permanent magnet brushed (PMB) DC motors at low speeds is difficult due to the nonlinearity caused by various types of frictions. Under parameter uncertainty, the speed control becomes more difficult. In this paper, to handle the parameter uncertainty, we propose a dynamic neural network to adaptively reconstruct or learn the dynamics of PMB DC motors. Then, based on the parameters of the neural dynamic model, a near-optimal dynamic neural controller is designed and proposed for the speed control of PMB DC motors with frictions considered under parameter uncertainty. Simulations substantiate the efficacy of the proposed dynamic neural model and adaptive near-optimal controller for PMB DC motors with fully unknown parameters.

Community-based question answering (cQA) sites have accumulated vast amount of questions and corresponding crowdsourced answers over time. How to efficiently share the underlying information and knowledge from reliable (usually highly-reputable) answerers has become an increasingly popular research topic. A major challenge in cQA tasks is the accurate matching of high-quality answers w.r.t given questions. Many of traditional approaches likely recommend corresponding answers merely depending on the content similarity between questions and answers, therefore suffer from the sparsity bottleneck of cQA data. In this paper, we propose a novel framework which encodes not only the contents of question-Answer(Q-A) but also the social interaction cues in the community to boost the cQA tasks. More specifically, our framework collaboratively utilizes the rich interaction among questions, answers and answerers to learn the relative quality rank of different answers w.r.t a same question. Moreover, the information in heterogeneous social networks is comprehensively employed to enhance the quality of question-Answering (QA) matching by our deep random walk learning framework. Extensive experiments on a large-scale dataset from a real world cQA site show that leveraging the heterogeneous social information indeed achieves better performance than other state-of-The-Art cQA methods. © Copyright 2016, Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (***). With the development of information technology, the application of big data in financial aspects becomes more and more deepening. However, in the aspect of bank loans, the accuracy of traditional user loan risk prediction models, such as KNN, Bayesian, are not benefit from the data *** paper proposes to use DNN algorithm to forecast the risk of user loan based on the difficulties of current overdue prediction and the excellent learning ability of DNN. This article uses user basic information, bank records, user browsing behavior, credit card billing records, and loan time information to evaluate whether users are delinquent. Firstly, this paper record bank records according to the transaction type, respectively, to generate income and spending data. Secondly, to sum the user browsing behavior also, and to record the average of credit card bill. In addition, in order to reduce the effect of eigenvalue size on the result, all characteristics are standardized. Finally, users who lack user information are discarded and the above fields are spliced. The spliced fields are the basic input for DNN. From the experimental results, DNN algorithm inc rease over 6% prediction than kNN, Bayes algorithm.

An all-k-nearest-neighbor (AkNN) query finds from a given object set O, k nearest neighbors for each object in a specified query set Q. This operation is common in many applications such as GIS, data mining, and image analysis. Although it has received much attention in the Euclidean space, there is little prior work on the metric space. In this paper, we study the problem of AkNN retrieval in metric spaces, termed metric AkNN (MAkNN) search, and propose efficient algorithms for supporting MAk NN queries with arbitrary k value. Our methods utilize dynamic disk-based metric indexes (e.g., M-tree), employ a series of pruning rules, take advantage of grouping, reuse, pre-processing, and progressive pruning techniques, require no detailed representations of objects, and can be applied as long as the distance metric satisfies the triangle inequality. In addition, we extend our approaches to tackle metric self-AkNN (MSAkNN) search, a natural variation of MAkNN queries, where the query set Q is identical to the object set O. Extensive experiments using both real and synthetic data sets demonstrate, compared with state-of-the-art euclidean Ak NN, MAkNN, and MSAkNN algorithms, the performance of our proposed algorithms and the effectiveness of our presented techniques. © 2015 IEEE.

MGMT promoter methylation and IDH1 mutation in high-grade gliomas (HGG) have proven to be the two important molecular indicators associated with better prognosis. Traditionally, the statuses of MGMT and IDH1 are obtained via surgical biopsy, which is laborious, invasive and time-consuming. Accurate presurgical prediction of their statuses based on preoperative imaging data is of great clinical value towards better treatment plan. In this paper, we propose a novel Multi-label Inductive Matrix Completion (MIMC) model, highlighted by the online inductive learning strategy, to jointly predict both MGMT and IDH1 statuses. Our MIMC model not only uses the training subjects with possibly missing MGMT/IDH1 labels, but also leverages the unlabeled testing subjects as a supplement to the limited training dataset. More importantly, we learn inductive labels, instead of directly using transductive labels, as the prediction results for the testing subjects, to alleviate the overfitting issue in small-sample-size studies. Furthermore, we design an optimization algorithm with guaranteed convergence based on the block coordinate descent method to solve the multivariate non-smooth MIMC model. Finally, by using a precious single-center multi-modality presurgical brain imaging and genetic dataset of primary HGG, we demonstrate that our method can produce accurate prediction results, outperforming the previous widely-used single- or multi-task machine learning methods. This study shows the promise of utilizing imaging-derived brain connectome phenotypes for prognosis of HGG in a non-invasive manner. © Springer International Publishing AG 2017.

In this study, the problems of precise linearization and optimal control for the cell three-compartment transition model are investigated. According to the differential geometry theory of nonlinear system, three-compartment nonlinear affine model of intracellular and extracellular distribution of 1, 6-diphenyl-1, 3, 5-hexatriene (DPH) is established. A nonlinear state feedback expression is deduced by means of state feedback precise linearization method to realize the linearization of the nonlinear system. Furthermore, the state feedback coefficient is optimized by solving Riccati's equation. The obtained control law is simple and easy to implement. The numerical simulation results show that the feedback system constructed by the nonlinear control strategies has good stability characteristics, and the dynamic response characteristic is improved obviously.

Application of cloud computing technologies in power system has made a great contribution to the establishment of smart grid. Among applications of smart grid, electrical load prediction plays an important role in efficient use of power resource. However, the exponential growth of data has posed a great challenge to the existing algorithms. In this paper, we firstly propose a novel parallel hybrid algorithm, combining the Improved Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) with ELM, named PIPSO-ELM. Here a modified particle swarm optimization is presented to find the optimal number of hidden neurons as well as the corresponding input weights and hidden biases. Furthermore, in the iterative search process of PSO, an update strategy employs the mutation operator of evolutionary algorithms is introduced for further improving the global search capability and convergence speed of PSO. After that, to handle the large-scale dataset efficiently, the parallel implementation of PIPSO-ELM is achieved using Spark. Finally, extensive experiments on real-life electrical load data and comprehensive evaluation are conducted to verify the performance of PIPSO-ELM in electrical load prediction. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that PIPSO-ELM outperforms the compared algorithms in terms of stability, efficiency and scalability simultaneously.
