A water-based DRA with a wideband and high radiation efficiency is presented. The DRA features a stacked configuration, with the upside content comprising water and its resin container, and the downside content chosen as K9 glass. Firstly, the wideband performance is obtained by exciting multiple resonant modes simultaneously, including the fundamental TE 111 (y) mode and three higher-order TE 1α1 (z) (α=2,4,6) modes. Secondly, a grating structure is applied in the container to reduce the volume loss density of the water, resulting in a high radiation efficiency. The simulated results show a bandwidth of 65.5% with a radiation efficiency ranging from 80% to 94%.

The abnormal visual event detection is an important subject in Smart City surveillance where a lot of data can be processed locally in edge computing environment. Real-time and detection effectiveness are critical in such an edge environment. In this paper, we propose an abnormal event detection approach based on multi-instance learning and autoregressive integrated moving average model for video surveillance of crowded scenes in urban public places, focusing on real-time and detection effectiveness. We propose an unsupervised method for abnormal event detection by combining multi-instance visual feature selection and the autoregressive integrated moving average model. In the proposed method, each video clip is modeled as a visual feature bag containing several subvideo clips, each of which is regarded as an instance. The time-transform characteristics of the optical flow characteristics within each subvideo clip are considered as a visual feature instance, and time-series modeling is carried out for multiple visual feature instances related to all subvideo clips in a surveillance video clip. The abnormal events in each surveillance video clip are detected using the multi-instance fusion method. This approach is verified on publically available urban surveillance video datasets and compared with state-of-the-art alternatives. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method has better abnormal event detection performance for crowded scene of urban public places with an edge environment. © 2019 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Personal data custodian services enable data owners to share their data with data consumers in a convenient manner, anytime and anywhere. However, with data hosted in these services being beyond the control of the data owners, it raises significant concerns about privacy in personal data sharing. Many schemes have been proposed to realize fine-grained access control and privacy protection in data sharing. However, they fail to protect the rights of data owners to their data under the law, since their designs focus on the management of system administrators rather than enhancing the data owners’ privacy. In this paper, we introduce a novel task-driven personal data sharing system based on the data capsule paradigm realizing personal data sharing autonomy. It enables data owners in our system to fully control their data, and share it autonomously. Specifically, we present a tamper-resistant data capsule encapsulation method, where the data capsule is the minimal unit for independent and secure personal data storage and sharing. Additionally, to realize selective sharing and informed-consent based authorization, we propose a task-driven data sharing mechanism that is resistant to collusion and EDoS attacks. Furthermore, by updating parts of the data capsules, the permissions granted to data consumers can be immediately revoked. Finally, we conduct a security and performance analysis, proving that our scheme is correct, sound, and secure, as well as revealing more advantageous features in practicality, compared with the state-of-the-art schemes. Multi-stream aggregation (MSA) allows users to receive data from multiple base stations simultaneously to increase their data rates. In this paper, we propose a joint user association and resource allocation algorithm for MSA systems to achieve energy efficiency (EE) balance among different base stations. The problem is formulated as a non-convex combinatorial sum-of-ratios optimization problem, which is very hard to solve directly. We first relax the combinatorial variables and then transform the problem into a convex optimization problem by the sum-of-ratios algorithm and the successive convex approximation (SCA) method. Based on this, a near-optimal algorithm is developed. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve a good performance with a fast convergence speed.

This paper presents a real-time vehicle detection approach with lower missed detection rate. We extract shadow feature and generate hypothesis by a new algorithm based on shadow line fusion, then refining the result set and removing false detection by frame reducing image. Then a weighted-voting policy on multi vehicle feature is used to verify hypothesis, so that we can enhance the detection ratio of irregularly shaped vehicle further. The experiment results show that the proposed algorithms can achieve higher detection rate compared with previous methods. © 2015 by Binary Information Press.

When sharing the unlicensed band with Wi-Fi users in unlicensed LTE (U-LTE) systems, the most critical issue is how to guarantee the harmonious coexistence between the two systems. On the other hand, when sharing the licensed band with the micro base station (MBS) in the small cell base station (SBSs), the co-channel interference needs to be properly coordinated. To address these two issues, power control, licensed and unlicensed spectrum allocation are jointly considered at the SBS to maximize the spectrum efficiency while guaranteeing the QoS of small cell users (SUs) and at the same time providing fair resource sharing with Wi-Fi users. The convex optimization method is applied to design the optimal scheme. Then, numerical results are provided to verify the proposed scheme and demonstrate the tradeoff between the Wi-Fi performance and the achievable spectrum efficiency at the SBS.

In this paper,we regard the nonlinear feedback shift register(NLFSR)as a special Boolean network,and use semi-tensor product of matrices and matrix expression of logic to convert the dynamic equations of NLFSR into an equivalent algebraic *** on them,we propose some novel and generalized techniques to study ***,a general method is presented to solve an open problem of how to obtain the properties(the number of fixed points and the cycles with different lengths)of the state sequences produced by a given NLFSR,i.e.,the analysis of a given *** then show how to construct all 22n-(l-n)/22n-lshortest n-stage feedback shift registers(nFSR)and at least 22n-(l-n)-1/22n-l-1shortest n-stage nonlinear feedback shift registers(nNLFSR)which can output a given nonperiodic/periodic sequence with length ***,we propose two novel cycles joining algorithms for the construction of full-length ***,two algorithms are presented to construct 22n-2-1different full-length nNLFSRs,respectively.

In this paper, we propose to use Web Workers [1], isolated parallel threads in current browser working in the background, to enforce privilege separation in chrome extensions. Our tests show that our design is applicable to most chrome extensions (those not using the jquery library) and achieves a reduction in TCB up to 77 percent for our examples. Our implementation shows that our design is efficient enough to enforce privilege separation in chrome extensions and not needs to modify the browser or learn new high-level languages. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

This paper presents the design and implementation of an information flow tracking framework based on code rewrite to prevent sensitive information leaks in browsers, combining the ideas of taint and information flow analysis. Our system has two main processes. First, it abstracts the semantic of JavaScript code and converts it to a general form of intermediate representation on the basis of JavaScript abstract syntax tree. Second, the abstract intermediate representation is implemented as a special taint engine to analyze tainted information flow. Our approach can ensure fine-grained isolation for both confidentiality and integrity of information. We have implemented a proof-of-concept prototype, named JSTFlow, and have deployed it as a browser proxy to rewrite web applications at runtime. The experiment results show that JSTFlow can guarantee the security of sensitive data and detect XSS attacks with about 3x performance overhead. Because it does not involve any modifications to the target system, our system is readily deployable in practice.

In multi-hop wireless ad-hoc networks, packet delivery delay is one of the most important performance metrics. While a lot of research efforts have been spent on measuring and optimizing the end-to-end delay performance, there usually lack accurate and lightweight methods for decomposing the end-to-end delay into the per-hop delay for each packet. Knowledge on the per-hop per-packet delay can greatly improve the network visibility and facilitate network measurement and management. In this paper, we propose Domo, a passive, lightweight and accurate delay tomography approach to decomposing the packet end-to-end delay into each hop. The basic idea is to formulate the problem into a set of optimization problems by carefully considering the constraints among various timing quantities. At the network side, Domo attaches a small overhead to each packet for constructing constraints of the optimization problems. At the PC side, Domo employs semi-definite relaxation and several other methods to efficiently solve the optimization problems. We implement Domo and evaluate its performance extensively using large-scale simulations. Results show that Domo significantly outperforms two existing methods, nearly tripling the accuracy of the state-of-the-art.
