Sustainable energy of Natural Gas (NG) has been an increasingly valuable and advantageous fossil fuel as it produces a cleaner combustion, and efficient consumption. Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) storage method and its utilisation has caused several problems due to high cost of installation for extensive 25.86 MPa highpressure bulky cylinder, internal cylinder corrosion, and the possibility of releasing an explosive compressed gas. Adsorb Natural Gas (ANG) storage as a new technology, where natural gas is adsorbed in a suitable adsorbent with high porosity to increase the volume of gas stored in the vessel at lower pressure 3.45 - 5.52 MPa is a promising alternative. The energy density stored in ANG storage system is greater than the CNG vessel at the same pressure. Solid sustainable material of Palm Kernel Shell (PKS) was treated chemically to obtain adsorbent media to determine its adsorption and desorption rate performance at certain pressure. The adsorbent obtained by treatment with KOH and H3PO4 labelled as PKS-ACB and PKS-ACA. Samples were characterised by SEM, BET, TGA and FTIR. The SEM, BET, TGA and FTIR results showed promising results. The adsorption rate of the first 20 minutes was 0.038 mmol/*** for PKS-ACA and 0.034 mmol/*** for PKSACB. The desorption rate of PKS-ACA and PKS-ACB was 643 mmol/*** and 430 mmol/***. There was no gas residual left in the sorbent. Findings highlighted that sustainable solid waste materials of palm kernel shell are renewable;its surface property as natural gas adsorbent storage known as ANG. This article raises awareness and offers a conceptual framework for the effects of childhood deprivation on adult employees’ performance, as well as organizational and societal well‐being. It provides a comprehensive set of physiological and psychological development‐related variables on childhood deprivation with propositions and practical implication. By examining the nature and causes of childhood deprivation, emotional limitations associated with adult workers’ disruptive attitude, behavior, and performance can be better interpreted and improved.

An exploration of working conditions and flexible system for hospital nurses

Background: The lack of sufficient numbers of professional nurses in the healthcare system in Taiwan is an issue that affects the sustainability of this system and that relates closely to working conditions. Purpose: The present study explores the expectations that nurses hold with regard to working conditions and the operation of a flexible system in hospitals. Methods: A literature review and focus-group interviews were used to develop the questionnaire Working Conditions and Flexible System. A total of 1,150 copies of this questionnaire were distributed to practicing nurses using stratified random sampling, with 1,146 valid copies returned for a valid recovery rate of 99.65%. Results: The results show that the expectations of participants concerning working conditions and a flexible system focus on the 6 factors of task, numerical, divisional, temporal, wages, and leading flexibility. The total mean was 4.35 (SD=0.42). The means for the 6 types of flexibility were all greater than 4.0. Participants deemed flexibility to be of high importance. The demographic variables hospital, work location, age, education level, work position, work unit, and total work years all affected the 6 types of flexibility significantly. Conclusions: The present study supports that the retention of nurses is significantly associated with working conditions and the operation of a flexible system. Administrators and mangers must create positive working conditions and a flexible system in order to enhance the retention and career development of nurses.

Purpose This paper aims to describe how Birla creates a strong pipeline of people who are ready to lead the organization in the future. Design/methodology/approach It explains the origins of the group’s global-manufacturing leadership program (GMLP), the form it takes and the results it has achieved. Findings It reveals that the program aims to shape the manufacturing leaders of tomorrow through exposing them to world-class technologies and processes, state-of-the-art research and continuous learning and development opportunities. Practical implications It reveals that of the five GMLP candidates recruited in 2011, three have become independent unit heads, one in China and two in India. Social implications It outlines the company belief that retaining and developing the skills of its existing workforce is at least as important as importing new talent when faced with increasing competition and growing pressure to cut costs in its main markets. Originality/value It demonstrates that the program is designed to ensure that each participant is able to understand and anticipate customer needs, influence colleagues without too openly expressing authority and develop and communicate the company’s long-term vision.

Analysis of Jiangsu Tidal Flats Reclamation from 1974 to 2012 Using Remote Sensing

Jiangsu has the most abundant tidal flat resources among China＇s coastal provinces. To ease the conflict between the growing population and shrinking usable land and to promote regional sustainable development, large-scale coastal reclamation development activities have been performed in Jiangsu Province since 1949. The present study has integrated multi-source remote sensing images during 1974 to 2012 by using a Multi-point Fast Marching Method （MFMM） to extract the Jiangsu coastal reclamation areas for different time periods. The temporal and spatial patterns of the extent and elevation of the reclamation areas were analysed in order to determine the unused potential for future reclamation. It will provide information necessary to support the development and construction of tidal flats in Jiangsu. Results show that：（1） the reclaimed tidal fiats along the Jiangsu coast cover more than 19.86×10^4 hm^2, of which 13.97×10^4 hm^2 is located in Yancheng, 4.84×10^4 hm^2 in Nantong, and 1.05×10^4 hm^2 in Lianyungang; （2） the average elevation of the reclaimed Jiangsu tidal flats has gradually decreased over the last 40 years, while those in Dongtai and Rudong have showed particularly accelerated decrease since the 1990s; and （3） in 2012, very few unused tidal flats two meters above the sea level are left along the Jiangsu coast, and mainly concentrated in Yancheng. As there are still reserving some coastal land resources between 0-2 m, providing us with a potential for future development. All of these findings may be useful for researchers and local authorities for the development and utilization of tidal flat resources in Jiangsu.

The era of the 21st century is the emerging knowledge-based economy, with the rapid growth and popularity of information technology and the Internet, the use of digital tools to enhance the learning outcomes had been more common. Therefore, learners in the digital learning status also were lack of interaction and discussion among others, including teachers and other learning participants. According to this condition, flipped teaching was raised to enhance learning outside the classroom. This study aims to understand the application of the conventional flipped teaching to supplement classroom teaching, the understanding of their implementation procedures, key factors and the effectiveness of learning and teaching strategies to develop a flipped teaching model. Literatures were explored to analyze the status regarding flipped learning. Invited teachers who implemented flipped teaching had participated in-depth interviews for teaching practice. Then, questionnaires were conducted to investigate the students' abilities learned after the teaching material flipped. The data of interviews and questionnaires were analyzed and discussed. The further conclusions and recommendations were made to be the reference of future research and practitioners.

The safety system is defined in BS/EN764-7(2002) (Safety systems for unfired pressure equipment) European Standard which is equipped with pressure releasing means (e.g, safety valve, reliefe valve, rapture disk). However, this safety system is not adequately functional as a safety system because the pressure releasing means cannot ensure the security for safe-side failures or degradation characteristics. In view of this, this paper presentation an interlock system applicable to pneumatic driving systems based on the safety (confirmation) principle. This system in the Safety-related parts (system) without giving (harm) the effects of hazardous side of error to stop the run of the load by the power source shut off from the possibility of hazardous side of error, it is practical there is no contradiction in ISO12100, ISO13849 international standard. The interlock system discussion about the suitability of the safety system defined in BS/EN764-7. As a result, the consideration for ensuring the reliability in "Safety of the control" by BS/EN764-7 is requested by adopting the safety system of the interlock system. © (2015) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Changes in inland lakes on the Tibetan Plateau over the past 40 years

Inland lakes and alpine glaciers are important water resources on the Tibetan Plateau. Understanding their variation is crucial for accurate evaluation and prediction of changes in water supply and for retrieval and analysis of climatic information. Data from previous research on 35 alpine lakes on the Tibetan Plateau were used to investigate changes in lake water level and area. In terms of temporal changes, the area of the 35 alpine lakes could be divided into five groups: rising, falling-rising, rising-falling, fluctuating, and falling. In terms of spatial changes, the area of alpine lakes in the Himalayan Mountains, the Karakoram Mountains, and the Qaidam Basin tended to decrease; the area of lakes in the Naqu region and the Kunlun Mountains increased; and the area of lakes in the Hoh Xil region and Qilian Mountains fluctuated. Changes in lake water level and area were correlated with regional changes in climate. Reasons for changes in these lakes on the Tibetan Plateau were analyzed, including precipitation and evaporation from meteorological data, glacier meltwater from the Chinese glacier inventories. Several key problems, e.g. challenges of monitoring water balance, limitations to glacial area detection, uncertainties in detecting lake water-level variations and variable region boundaries of lake change types on the Tibetan Plateau were discussed. This research has most indicative significance to regional climate change.
