This study discloses the scope of services innovation of the case company, to understand how to proceed with the service of science, technology and services to construct value chain of Synvision technology. The results of the entire interview by the following four points: (1) The value chain of services science, including core management structure, E-service management, quality certification and authentication services. (2) 5S for the management of core organizational culture perspective. (3) Through the information technology achieves the goal of improved services and importing ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and GSP mode of operation.

This study examines the causal relationship of perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude, trust, behavior intention and actual behavior, which occur online shopping with the moderating effects of online experience. An estimated model discusses building an effective relationship with online shoppers. The survey was conducted with 600 undergraduates in Taiwan. Structural equation modeling was employed to validate the measures and confirm the hypothesized model. All variables have significant and positive impact, and online experiences moderate the causal relationship.

In order to overcome the pattern of traditional equipment, a new method about developing the axis-angle is proposed by combining the virtual instrument technology with the module of high-precision axis-angle SXZ including synchro and resolver . With the help of VtoolsD and Vc ++6.0 tools, the software implementation, namely, the VxD driver, has been programmed. Based on the platform Labwindows / cvi of NI, the driver, which has been applied to the axis angle test and simulation system is designed and carried out. The results show that the driver can be well integrated seamlessly into Labwindows/cvi platform and the system works reliably. © 2010 IEEE.

Teaching information technology for elder participation: A qualitative analysis of Taiwan retirees

The present inquiry considers the nature and meaning of elder participation in information technology and the degree to which computer-mediated communication increases in the social capital of elder adults. This study compares 27 elder computer participants and 27 nonparticipants by means of open-ended interviews. Three primary themes emerged from the interviews. The first concerns the different conceptions of old age held by the computer-participants and the nonparticipants, and in particular, differing views on learning capacity in later life. The second concerns their intentions of applying information technology. The third concerns the learning problems of operating computers. The findings from the current study also show that older persons are able to study and to use computers if a good training program exists that encourages them to do so. On the other hand, it cannot be dismissed that those who chose to participate and to study computer use may have done so because they had a stronger prior desire and/or ability to engage in this particular undertaking. It might be that the elderly information technology participants had a positive approach to the computer, a priori, and perhaps a better capability for learning new things as well.

This paper classifies the user's purchase pattern into four types of behavior, and proposes an agent-based personalized multimedia Jukebox that provides a personalized service on the client side. The proposed Jukebox assists the efficient management of numerous multimedia contents stored in a personal desktop computer, and provides personalized multimedia contents to the mobile device based on a push service type.

Recently, most businesses have introduced a system for improving their responsibility to the customers in terms of job improvement. For example, small-quantity batch production increases cost but improve efficiency of management. Companies have been introduced the balanced scorecard to evaluate their management as part of improvement, while they suffer from many trials and errors. Many businesses still have difficulty in introducing balance scorecard concept in their process, but we suggest a method to successfully introduce the balance scorecard. This study aims to suggest a new performance measurement model reflecting relative importance of the key performance indicators for each factor. Our model is applied to several companies in real-world to validate the new model. Also, our study proposes a methodology for an adequate performance measurement using multiple attribute decision making.

Self-evaluated effects of web-based portfolio assessment system for various student motivation levels

The purpose of this study was to explore the self-evaluated effects of a web-based portfolio assessment system on various categories of students of motivation. The subjects for this study were the students of two computer classes in a Junior High School. The experimental group used the webbased portfolio assessment system whereas the control group used traditional assessment. The result reveals that the web-based portfolio assessment system was more effective or useful in the most of self-evaluated learning effects for low motivation students. © 2009, Baywood Publishing Co., Inc.

A large number of organizations have adopted e-learning programs, and far fewer have addressed the usability of their learning applications. To ensure the quality of e-learning training material, we utilized the usability evaluation heuristic in the design and development processes. The application of exploratory, and usability evaluations during the design-based research study is described. Additionally, participant selection, data collection and analysis; and results relevant to usability portions of this study are presented.
