Entity representation learning is both fundamental and crucial for link prediction in knowledge graph. Existing entity representation learning approaches mainly focus on learning from knowledge triples with single modal text data which could only describe the things or concepts in words. However, multimodal data commonly exists in the real worlds and may describe things or concepts from different aspects. Therefore, multimodal entities have emerged in knowledge graph in recent years, which greatly enrich the knowledge graph by different information. This paper focuses on how to learn more robust and comprehensive representations of multimodal entities for better link prediction. A new representation learning method for multimodal entities is proposed, called Graph Attention with Bi-pooling Representation Learning (GBRL), where multimodal fusion and knowledge embedding are combined for learning representations of an entity with consideration of its multimodal neighbors. Firstly, feature vectors are obtained by pre-trained models for each modality. Then, the bilinear pooling is utilized for combining feature vectors of multimodal entities into multimodal feature vectors. A two-layer graph attention module is followed to generate multimodal representations of an entity from its multimodal neighbors. Finally, the inception decoder uses multimodal knowledge embedding to calculate scores for link prediction. The experimental results have shown that the proposed method performs well on link prediction by consideration of multimodal entities comparing with traditional methods that using only single modal text data. © 2021 IEEE.

Integrating multiple search operators to leverage the characteristics of different search operators is one of the common methods to enhance the performance of evolutionary algorithms. Most of these combination algorithms adopt a fixed framework, which makes it difficult to adaptively select the appropriate search operator during the algorithm iteration process, resulting in poor performance on certain problems. To overcome the aforementioned shortcomings of combination algorithms, an adaptive search strategy combination algorithm based on reinforcement learning and neighborhood search (RLASCA) is proposed. During the algorithm iteration process, a reinforcement learning-based adaptive search operator selection method (RLAS) is designed, enabling the algorithm to adaptively select the appropriate search operator based on the state of the individual. Furthermore, to address the issue of premature convergence, a neighborhood search strategy based on differential evolution (NSDE) is designed to increase the diversity of the population. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, a comprehensive testing was conducted using the CEC2017 test suite and two constrained engineering design problems. The algorithm was compared with four basic algorithms that compose RLASCA and four classical combination algorithms. The experimental results indicate that RLASCA outperforms the other eight algorithms in terms of convergence speed and accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, the distributed form of the zeroing neural network for solving time-varying optimal problems is put forward. Compared with traditional centralized algorithms, distributed algorithms possess better privacy and scalability. This paper initially proposes a centralized time-varying optimisation algorithm with fixed-time convergence and certain robustness, which is based on the integration-enhanced zeroing neural network. Subsequently, the algorithm is enhanced, and two distributed algorithms are designed separately. Both of these two algorithms have a fixed convergence time and certain robustness. Additionally, this paper utilizes the penalty function approach to handle time-varying optimization problems with inequality constraints, thereby making the algorithm more widely applicable. The effectiveness of the algorithm is verified through several numerical examples, and the applicability of the algorithm is demonstrated by solving the package-level state-of-charge balancing problem. © 2020 IEEE.

In image fusion, the desirable fused image is to obtain advantage information from different images of the same scene. As for the fusion of the infrared image and the visible image that have distinct features, this paper proposes an adaptive multi-weight fusion based on multi-scale transformation. This method designs different weight matrices according to the characteristics of the infrared image and the visible image. It can also adaptively adjusts the weight size according to the scene. Based on the difference of information entropy between infrared images and visible images, the method of this paper can keep the important information as much as possible. Experimental results prove the method of this paper is fast and effective. It also has certain superiority compared with other methods.

Grid-following inverters remain the primary interface for modern renewable energy systems due to their strong power output performance. As the global demand for clean and efficient energy conversion increases, optimizing the stability of inverter systems is crucial for integrating renewable sources into the power grid. In certain energy conversion scenarios, current sensors are placed on the inverter side due to equipment constraints and space limitations, which can impact the stability of the inverter. Although the stability of inverter-side current feedback (ICF) configurations has been studied, methods to further enhance their stability remain underexplored. In this paper, the stability of ICF grid-following inverters is analyzed using a passivity-based design approach, focusing on a point of common coupling voltage controller. The proposed controller is thoroughly analyzed, and a detailed design strategy is presented to ensure stability under varying grid impedance conditions. Experimental results validate the theoretical analysis, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed design in enhancing the stability of ICF grid-following inverters. These advancements contribute to improving energy conversion efficiency and reliability. © 2025 IEEE.

With the widespread use of escalators in daily life, escalator-related injury factors are threatening public health. To secure escalator system, most of existing studies focus on post hoc statistics and trend to fix these deficiencies to reduce escalator-related potential risks. However, they are not designed for early-stage detection of impending escalator unsafe factors. To solve this problem, this paper proposes an improved Single Shot MultiBox Detector (SSD) algorithm for anomaly detection of passenger posture on escalators. Firstly, we replace the widely used VGG16 backbone of SSD network by simpler MobileNetV2 to accelerate model inference. Secondly, the distance intersection over Union (DIoU) loss function is introduced to further improve performance. Based on the characteristics of IoU and considering the shortcomings of GIoU, DIoU directly regresses the Euclidean distance between the center points of the two boxes to accelerate the convergence. The experimental results show that the improved SSD escalator passenger posture anomaly detection algorithm can efficiently identify the dangerous posture of escalator passengers and start relevant safety protection measures. According to inference of model, the escalator system can be controlled in practice to formulate the corresponding safety protection measures, and improve the safety performance of the escalator operation. © 2022 IEEE.

Toward carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals in China, a transition from traditional fossil power to renewable energy becomes an imperative need. This paper aims to address the planning problem of a highly renewable-energy penetrated energy hub system, coupled with carbon capture facilities and downstream production processes of hydrogen and methanol,under the uncertainty of renewable power output. To this end, we propose a two-stage distributionally robust optimal planning model, where investment decisions are the first-stage variables and operation variables are determined at the second stage after the realization of uncertainty. In the proposed model, we utilize historical data samples to construct a strengthened ambiguity set that leverages both Wasserstein distance and moment information for a better characterization of renewable generation uncertainty. Moreover, to efficiently solve the proposed planning problem, we develop a simplified affine decision rule method in a general setting with both moment and Wasserstein ambiguity, and then apply it to reformulate the distributionally robust planning problem. The derived reformulation possesses the favorable property that its scale is free from the sample size, thus greatly reducing the computational complexity. Computational results validate the effectiveness of the proposed planning model and the computational efficiency of the solution methodology.

High-speed physical key distribution is diligently pursued for secure *** this paper,we propose and experimentally demonstrate a scheme of high-speed key distribution using mode-shift keying chaos synchronization between two multi-longitudinal-mode Fabry–Perot lasers commonly driven by a super-luminescent *** users dynamically select one of the longitudinal modes according to private control codes to achieve mode-shift keying chaos *** two remote chaotic light waveforms are quantized to generate two raw random bit streams,and then those bits corresponding to chaos synchronization are sifted as shared keys by comparing the control *** this method,the transition time,i.e.,the chaos synchronization recovery time is determined by the rising time of the control codes rather than the laser transition response time,so the key distribution rate is improved *** experiment achieved a 0.75-Gbit/s key distribution rate with a bit error rate of 3.8×10^(−3)over 160-km fiber transmission with dispersion *** entropy rate of the laser chaos is evaluated as 16 Gbit/s,which determines the ultimate final key rate together with the key generation *** is therefore believed that the method pays a way for Gbit/s physical key distribution.

RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) are essential for gene expression, and the complex RNA-protein interaction mechanisms require analysis of global RNA information. Therefore, accurate prediction of RBP binding sites on full-length RNA transcripts is crucial for understanding these mechanisms and their roles in diseases. While machine learning methods can predict RBP binding to RNA fragments, extending this to full-length transcripts presents challenges due to sequence length and data imbalance. In this paper, we introduce RBP-Former, a binding site joint prediction model designed specifically for full-length RNA transcripts that can be used for multiple RBPs. This model processes information at both coarse and fine-grained levels to fully exploit sequence data and its interactions with multiple RBPs. We develop multi-level imbalance learning strategies, achieving favorable results on imbalanced data. Our method outperforms existing methods in predicting binding sites on full-length RNA transcripts for multiple RBPs, demonstrating its effectiveness in handling imbalanced label and sample distributions.
