HIGH ORDER FINITE DIFFERENCE HERMITE WENO FAST SWEEPING METHODS FOR STATIC HAMILTON-JACOBI EQUATIONS

In this paper,we propose a novel Hermite weighted essentially non-oscillatory(HWENO)fast sweeping method to solve the static Hamilton-Jacobi equations *** the HWENO reconstruction procedure,the proposed method is built upon a new finite difference fifth order HWENO scheme involving one big stencil and two small ***,one major novelty and difference from the traditional HWENO framework lies in the fact that,we do not need to introduce and solve any additional equations to update the derivatives of the unknown functionϕ.Instead,we use the currentϕand the old spatial derivative ofϕto update *** traditional HWENO fast sweeping method is also introduced in this paper for comparison,where additional equations governing the spatial derivatives ofϕare *** novel HWENO fast sweeping methods are shown to yield great savings in computational time,which improves the computational efficiency of the traditional HWENO *** addition,a hybrid strategy is also introduced to further reduce computational *** numerical experiments are provided to validate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed approaches.

MXene nanomaterials have attracted great interest as the electrode of ***,its energy storage mecha-nisms in organic electrolytes are still *** work investigated the size effect of cations(i.e.,Lit,Nat,K^(+),and EMIM^(+))on the capacitive behaviors of MXene-based *** experimental results demonstrate that the specific capacitance increases obviously with decreasing cation size(i.e.,from 43 F g^(-1)(EMIM^(+))to 129 F g^(-1)(Li^(+))at 2 mV s^(-1)).Density-functional theory calculation reveals a correlation between cation size and ion-electrode surface interaction,sup-porting experimental observations of the capacitive-dominant *** dynamics simulations reveal that the ionic solvation structure and desolvation degree of intercalated cations as a function of solvation size,providing dynamic insights into the experimentally observed specific capacitance *** comprehensive experimental and computational study provides valuable insights into the intricate solvation effects governing the charge storage *** finding of ion dynamics,solvation structure,and desolvation may contribute to guide the design and optimization of appropriate ions/electrolytes combinations for MXene-based supercapacitors.

PosFuzz:augmenting greybox fuzzing with effective position distribution

Mutation-based greybox fuzzing has been one of the most prevalent techniques for security vulnerability discovery and a great deal of research work has been proposed to improve both its efficiency and ***-based greybox fuzzing generates input cases by mutating the input seed,i.e.,applying a sequence of mutation operators to randomly selected mutation positions of the ***,existing fruitful research work focuses on scheduling mutation operators,leaving the schedule of mutation positions as an overlooked aspect of fuzzing *** paper proposes a novel greybox fuzzing method,PosFuzz,that statistically schedules mutation positions based on their historical *** makes use of a concept of effective position distribution to represent the semantics of the input and to guide the *** first utilizes Good-Turing frequency estimation to calculate an effective position distribution for each mutation *** then leverages two sampling methods in different mutating stages to select the positions from the *** have implemented PosFuzz on top of AFL,AFLFast and MOPT,called Pos-AFL,-AFLFast and-MOPT respectively,and evaluated them on the UNIFUZZ benchmark(20 widely used open source programs)and LAVA-M *** result shows that,under the same testing time budget,the Pos-AFL,-AFLFast and-MOPT outperform their counterparts in code coverage and vulnerability discovery *** with AFL,AFLFast,and MOPT,PosFuzz gets 21%more edge coverage and finds 133%more paths on *** also triggers 275%more unique bugs on average.

Inorganic anions such as phosphates and carbonates are essential in the natural system and it is important for the detec-tion of such *** this work,the fluorescence sensing capacity of Zr(IV)framework with an amino-functional group,namely UiO-66-NH_(2),towards specific inorganic anions was investigated in aqueous *** results revealed that the fluorescence emission intensity of UiO-66-NH2 could be strongly enhanced by phosphate and carbonate anions including HPO_(4)^(2-),H_(2)PO_(4)^(-),PO_(4)^(3-),P_(2)O_(7)^(4-),HCO_(3)^(-)and CO_(3)^(2-),implying its sensing capacity towards phosphate and carbonate ***,fluorescence titration experiments exhibit that the emission intensity enhancement ratio depends linearly on the concentration of anions,suggesting the possibility of quantitative detection of these *** studies suggest that the sensing of UiO-66-NH,towards HPO_(4)^(2-)/PO_(4)^(3-)/P_(2)O_(4)^(-)/HCO_(3)^(-)/CO_(2)-could be ascribed to the collapse of the framework,while that for H_(2)PO_(4)-could be attributed to the adsorption of H,PO4-by UiO-66-NH2 with hydrogen bonding interactions between H,PO4-and the amino group of UiO-66-NH_(2) supported by the different fluorescence response of UiO-66 and UiO-66-NH,towards the anions.

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI), the game between the human and machine/AI becomes more and more common. The related theoretical analysis becomes significant and necessary, which however is still rare. This problem involves evolution analysis and optimal control of dynamic game systems driven by learning algorithms. In this paper, we consider a finitely repeated two-player zero-sum game. We study the dynamic evolution process of the game system, in which one player employs the Hedge algorithm and the other player takes the myopic best response. By the updating formula of the Hedge algorithm, we define a quantity called the state and construct the state Transition Triangle Graph (STTG). Then, we prove that the game system is periodic after o(T) stages. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Interest Points Analysis for Internet Forum Based on Long-Short Windows Similarity

For Internet forum Points of Interest(PoI),existing analysis methods are usually lack of usability analysis under different conditions and ignore the long-term variation,which lead to blindness in method *** address this problem,this paper proposed a PoI variation prediction framework based on similarity analysis between long and short *** on the framework,this paper presented 5 PoI analysis algorithms which can be categorized into 2 types,i.e.,the traditional sequence analysis methods such as autoregressive integrated moving average model(ARIMA),support vector regressor(SVR),and the deep learning methods such as convolutional neural network(CNN),long-short term memory network(LSTM),Transformer(TRM).Specifically,this paper firstly divides observed data into long and short windows,and extracts key words as PoI of each ***,the PoI similarities between long and short windows are calculated for training and ***,series of experiments is conducted based on real Internet forum *** results show that,all the 5 algorithms could predict PoI variations well,which indicate effectiveness of the proposed *** the length of long window is small,traditional methods perform better,and SVR is the *** the contrary,the deep learning methods show superiority,and LSTM performs *** results could provide beneficial references for PoI variation analysis and prediction algorithms selection under different parameter configurations.

Phase-field-based lattice Boltzmann method for containerless freezing

In this paper we first propose a phase-field model for the containerless freezing problems, in which the volume expansion or shrinkage of the liquid caused by the density change during the phase change process is considered by adding a mass source term to the continuum equation. Then a phase-field-based lattice Boltzmann (LB) method is further developed to simulate solid-liquid phase change phenomena in multiphase systems. We test the developed LB method by the problem of conduction-induced freezing in a semi-infinite space, the three-phase Stefan problem, and the droplet solidification on a cold surface, and the numerical results are in agreement with the analytical and experimental solutions. In addition, the LB method is also used to study the rising bubbles with solidification. The results of the present method not only accurately capture the effect of bubbles on the solidification process, but also are in agreement with the previous work. Finally, a parametric study is carried out to examine the influences of some physical parameters on the sessile droplet solidification, and it is found that the time of droplet solidification increases with the increase of droplet volume and contact angle.

With increasing number of software vulnerabilities, the quantity of attacks utilizing malicious samples is also on rise, leading to intensified adversarial competition. In particular, the application of automatic vulnerability mining techniques has resulted in a significant increase in the number of vulnerabilities, but security researchers often do not have enough time to deal with them. This paper proposes a symbol-execution-based automated vulnerability exploitation method, which can achieve automation of vulnerability detection, classification and exploitation. Finally, this paper designs and implements a prototype system for symbol-execution-based automated vulnerability exploitation, and verifies its effectiveness through experiments. This research provides security analysts with an in-depth understanding of the types of vulnerabilities and determines methods for vulnerability exploitability, further improving the efficiency of analyzing and fixing vulnerabilities. © 2023 SPIE.

The mining and exploitation of security vulnerabilities have always been the focus of offensive and defensive confrontations. In recent years, with the application of technologies such as fuzzing in vulnerability mining, the number of discovered vulnerabilities continues to increase, which seriously threatens the security of the network world. With so many vulnerabilities, it is unrealistic to rely solely on manual analysis by security experts, which is not only costly, but also time-consuming, and cannot meet the needs of vulnerability assessment and defense. Therefore, an automated exploit solution for vulnerabilities is urgently needed to solve the problem of low efficiency of manual vulnerability assessment. Existing research has proposed some solutions and achieved certain results. The purpose of this paper is to review and analyze the existing typical research results. © 2023 SPIE.
