Lead halide perovskites have received considerable attention from researchers over the past several years due to their superior optical and optoelectronic properties,because of which they can be a versatile platform for fundamental science research and *** structures based on lead halide perovskites have much more novel properties compared with their more commonly seen bulk-,micro-,and nano-crystals,such as improvement in antireflection,light-scattering effects,and light absorption,as a result of their adjustability of spatial ***,there are many challenges yet to be resolved in this field,such as insufficient patterned resolution,imperfect crystal quality,complicated preparation process,and so *** pave the way to solve these problems,we provide a systematic presentation of current methods for fabricating lead halide perovskite patterned structures,including thermal imprint,use of etching films,two-step vapor-phase growth,template-confined solution growth,and seed-assisted ***,the advantages and disadvantages of these methods are elaborated in *** addition,thanks to the extraordinary properties of lead halide perovskite patterned structures,a variety of potential applications in optics and optoelectronics of these structures are ***,we put forward existing challenges and prospects in this exciting field.

This paper presents an electroencephalogram (EEG) signals decoding method based on an event-driven spiking neural network (SNN) model design for steady-state visual evoked potentials (SSVEP) tasks' classification and recognition. Adopting the approach of data-driven ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD) of little additional input parameters, the original signals is enhanced to obtain relatively accurate EEG data with valid SSVEP characteristics, which strengthen the signal-to-noise (SNR) at the stimulation frequency. A canonical correlation analysis (CCA) method is considered to be applied to extract frequency characteristics from the multi-lead EEG data, declining the amount of data and training overhead. The training samples with correlation coefficient vectors are sampled into sparse spike sequences through the level crossing (LC) coding and input directly to a resembled excitation-inhibition (E-I) balanced SNN model in the way of event-driven processing. With the sparse data representation, the SNN model adopts the approaches of sparse training and neuromorphic computing to perform pattern recognition for the SNN-compatible spikes. On the Wearable SSVEP-BCI dataset and BETA database provided by Tsinghua University for 12-target and 40-target EEG classification, this SNN method can achieve 96.95% and 89.72% classification accuracy, with 99.66 bits/min and 130.26 bits/min information transfer rate (ITR), respectively. © 2023 IEEE.

We consider the identifiability issue of maximum-likelihood based activity detection in massive MIMO-based grant-free random access. An intriguing observation by Chen et al. [1] indicates that the identifiability undergoes a phase transition for commonly-used random user signatures as L2, N and K tend to infinity with fixed ratios, where L, N and K denote the user signature length, the total number of users, and the number of active users, respectively. In this letter, we provide a precise analytical characterization of the phase transition based on a spectral universality conjecture. Numerical results demonstrate excellent agreement between our theoretical predictions and the empirical phase transitions. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

OPTIMIZATION ON PRODUCT MANIFOLDS UNDER A PRECONDITIONED METRIC

Since optimization on Riemannian manifolds relies on the chosen metric, it is appealing to know that how the performance of a Riemannian optimization method varies with different metrics and how to exquisitely construct a metric such that a method can be accelerated. To this end, we propose a general framework for optimization problems on product manifolds endowed with a preconditioned metric, and we develop Riemannian methods under this metric. Generally, the metric is constructed by an operator that aims to approximate the diagonal blocks of the Riemannian Hessian of the cost function. We propose three specific approaches to design the operator: exact block diagonal preconditioning, left and right preconditioning, and Gauss–Newton type preconditioning. Specifically, we tailor new preconditioned metrics and adapt the proposed Riemannian methods to the canonical correlation analysis and the truncated singular value decomposition problems, which provably accelerate the Riemannian methods. Additionally, we adopt the Gauss–Newton type preconditioning to solve the tensor ring completion problem. CaCO_(3)-MnSiO_(x)hybrid particles to enable CO_(2)-mediated combinational tumor therapy

Nanocatalysts mediated reactive oxygen species(ROS)based therapy has been exploited as an alternative therapeutic modality of tumor with high specificity and minimal side ***,the treatment outcome is limited by the efficiency of local catalytic ***,we report a novel type of core–shell hybrid nanoparticles(CaCO_(3)@MS),consisting of CaCO_(3)and MnSiO_(x),for synergistic tumor inhibition combining enhanced catalytic effect and calcium *** this system,MnSiO_(x)serves as catalysts with glutathione(GSH)responsive Mn^(2+)ions release ***_(3)nanoparticles play three important roles,including carbon dioxide(CO_(2))donor,pH modulator,and Ca^(2+)overload *** is found that the CaCO_(3)nanoparticles can induce CO_(2)production and pH increase in acidic tumor environment,both of which promote Mn^(2+)mediated ROS *** simultaneous release of Ca^(2+)ions from CaCO_(3)triggers calcium overload in tumor,which functions collaboratively with excessive ROS to induce cancer cell *** results demonstrate that after treatment with CaCO_(3)@MS,a remarkable tumor inhibition was achieved both in vitro and in vivo,while no clear toxic effect was *** study has therefore provided a feasible effective approach to improve catalytic therapeutic efficacy by an“exogenous CO_(2)delivery”strategy for combinational tumor therapy.

Sleep is a very important physiological process for humans, and sleep staging is an important basis for evaluating sleep quality and diagnosing sleep-related diseases. Manual sleep staging is time-consuming and laborious, and the staging results are easily affected by subjective factors. Therefore, the research on automatic sleep staging models has extremely high research value and clinical application value. This paper proposes a sleep staging method based on multi-scale one-dimensional convolutional neural network and self-attention mechanism. The attention mechanism mines the channel correlation and temporal correlation of different channels respectively. This paper selects the sleep data of 153 normal subjects in the public dataset Sleep-EDF for model training and testing. The average staging accuracy rate was 84.5%, and the consistency test value was 0.781, which was better than the consistency test value of 0.75 for the inter-physician score. The experimental results show that the algorithm model in this paper has a high staging effect, can make full use of sleep data, and has important research significance for assisting clinicians in rapid sleep staging. © 2023 SPIE.

Topological materials, which feature robust surface and/or edge states, have now been a research focus in condensed maTher physics. They represent a new class of materials exhibiting nontrivial topological phases,and provide a platform for exploring exotic transport phenomena, such as the quantum anomalous Hall effect and the quantum spin Hall effect. Recently, magnetic topological materials have attracted considerable interests due to the possibility to study the interplay between topological and magnetic *** particular, the quantum anomalous Hall and axion insulator phases can be realized in topological insulators with magnetic order. MnBi2Te4, as the first intrinsic antiferromagnetic topological insulator discovered, allows the examination of existing theoretical predictions; it has been extensively studied, and many new discoveries have been made. Here we review the progress made on MnBi2Te4from both experimental and theoretical aspects. The bulk crystal and magnetic structures are surveyed first, followed by a review of theoretical calculations and experimental probes on the band structure and surface states, and a discussion of various exotic phases that can be realized in MnBi2Te4. The properties of MnBi2Te4thin films and the corresponding transport studies are then reviewed, with an emphasis on the edge state transport. Possible future research directions in this field are also discussed.
