Mr. Wootten holds an associate's degree in mechanical engineering from Northern Virginia Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering from The University of Alabama. Kevin Hoy:is manager of the Microelectronics Obsolescence Management Program at the Naval Avionics Center Indianapolis. Mr. Hoy holds both bachelor and master of science degrees in mathematics from Purdue University. James Neely:is leader of the Materials Management Team Industrial Materials Division in the Directorate of Manufacturing Air Force Systems Command Dayton Ohio. He joined the staff of the Naval Applied Science Laboratory in 1951 and carried out applied research in the field of wood technology and beginning in 1960 on high temperature elastomeric materials. Since 1962 he has been associated as a Materials Engineer with the Laboratory's program on studies of marine fouling. Arnold Freiberger received his Degree in Chemical Engineering at the City College of New York. Employed as a Materials Engineer at the U. S. Naval Applied Science Laboratory since 1952 he is the Task Leader of the Laboratory's program on naval cold weather problems and has done fundamental and applied research on ice adhesion and ice release coatings. Since 1962 he has been in charge of the Laboratory's marine folding research program and more recently has assumed leadership of the hydrofoil materials research program.

Naval Applied Science Laboratory since 1952 he is the Task Leader of the Laboratory's program on naval cold weather problems and has done fundamental and applied research on ice adhesion and ice release coatings. Since 1962 he has been in charge of the Laboratory's marine fouling research program and more recently has assumed leadership of the hydrofoil materials research program. Christopher P. 作者: MACANDER, A THE AUTHOR:attended Fairleigh Dickinson University from which he received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1962. He is presently attending Stevens Institute of Technology where he is pursuing a graduate degree in Plastics Engineering. Since 1962 Mr. Macander has been a member of the U. S. Naval Applied Science Laboratory technical staff as a Mechanical Engineer. For the last five years he has been engaged in the development of syntactic foam systems for buoyancy and structural applications in the deep ocean as well as the development of ultrasonic nondestructive test methods for quality assurance of these foam materials. In addition Mr. Macander is responsible for the deep submergence materials exposure program in the ocean being conducted by the U. S. Naval Applied Science Laboratory. He is also a member of the Marine Technology Society.
