Sentiment Analysis (SA) is the task of detecting people's emotions from their written text. Many algorithms have been studied for that purpose, with different authors claiming one or the other as better by a given metric. In recent years, the focus of SA has shifted to online text and microblog text, messages so short that good analysis becomes difficult that the choice of algorithm becomes critical. In this paper, we propose that a choice is not necessary at all. Instead, we show that a fusion of multiple algorithms to create a multi-modal SA system is a preferable approach.

Smartphones are resource constrained external battery operated devices. The resources of smartphone devices such as a battery, CPU, and RAM are very low compared to the desktop server. However, the requirements of smartphone users are growing tremendously. As a result, smartphone applications perform rich functionality to enrich user experience. However, due to increase in the execution capacity of smartphone applications, smartphone battery lifetime minimizes. This study proposes a cloud-based framework that estimates battery lifetime of a smartphone device. Moreover, it overviews the theoretical design of computational offloading framework to present an application area for the proposed work. Finally, it presents preliminary results to evaluate the proposed framework.

We seek to address the challenge of engineering socially intelligent personal agents that are privacy-aware. We propose Arnor, a method, including a metamodel based on social constructs Arnor incorporates social norms and goes beyond existing agent-oriented softwareengineering (AOSE) methods by systematically capturing how a personal agent's actions influence the social experience it delivers We conduct two empirical studies to evaluate Arnor. First, via a multi-phase developer study, we show that Arnor simplifies application development. Second, via simulation experiments, we show that Arnor provides improved privacy-preserving social experience to end users than personal agents engineered using a traditional AOSE method.

Phylogenomics is the study of evolution of proteins and the genomic events of speciation, duplication, horizontal gene transfer, and gene loss. It is critical to distinguish between orthologs created by speciation, and paralogs created by duplication, in order to accurately predict the function of a protein using annotation transfer by homology. In an age where complete genomes are available, we leverage synteny, the genomic context of a gene, for resolving orthology. We introduce the synteny-similarity graph. We present SynAPhy, a novel graph-based approach for clustering proteins. SynAPhy computes the “syntenic reciprocal best hits” of proteins across genomes. The synteny-similarity graphs are input to the MCL algorithm to determine orthologous clusters across genomes. There is no gold standard genome scale dataset to evaluate the capability of SynAPhy in generating orthologous clusters. We therefore present SynAVal, an evaluation framework that can be applied to an orthology prediction technique. The results of applying SynAVal on eight fungal genomes show that SynAVal with synteny resolution can successfully resolve potential confusions raised by 8.98% of all proteins, and resolve 23.33% of the subset of the proteins likely to cause confusions.

Source code review is a core activity in softwareengineering where a reviewer examines the code with the intention of finding bugs in the program. A lot of research has been carried out in understanding how software engineers perform code comprehension; however contribution of eye tracking traits seems to have not been addressed. This paper outlines a study conducted in an industrial environment of software engineers. It focused on understanding the visual attention of subjects with programming skills and subjects without programming skills and recognize the eye tracking traits required for source code review. The results indicate a significant difference in gaze behaviors of these groups. The key aspects of subjects with programming skills while source code review are required to have certain eye tracking traits like better code coverage, attention span on error lines and comments.

The simulation can explain the closed-flow behavior as complement with experimental field. Lid Driven Cavity as the tool for CFD benchmark is important to investigate. Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) as non-conventional CFD is used as present method investigation. The keys parameters of lid driven cavity problem are Reynolds number and the parts of moving boundaries that driven the cavity. In the present investigation was used the variations of Reynolds numbers: 500, 1000 and 2000. The lid that driven the cavity are top and bottom part. The results presented in visual flow pattern and in two dimensional velocity plot.

In order to avoid toxic gas poisoning incident, explosion and improve people's quality of life, this project designed the wireless low power toxic gas detector based on ADuCM360 with sensor technology and wireless transmission technology. The system consists of power management module, sensor module, signal conditioning module and wireless communication module. Analysis and experimental results show that this toxic gas detector can monitor and store the toxic gas concentration, temperature and humidity in the room for a long time. You will be able to understand the detection of toxic gases without necessity of visiting the site in person.
