It is well known, that different types of physical (PMs) and virtual (VMs) machines failures and as well deliberate malicious impacts on information resources of cloud infrastructure are serious obstacles to development of whole cloud ecosystem. What is more, in the current environment of fast growing number of cloud subsystems and supporting devices, the cloud service providers need to analyze and control overall availability level of cloud infrastructure. In this paper we summarized the basic provisions of approach to assess availability of an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Cloud that is implemented based on Semi-Markov modeling process (SMP). This paper is our real attempt to improve the modeling process of availability for IaaS Cloud considering different negative impacts on resources of PMs and VMs, namely sudden failures, hacker's attacks, operator's and programmer's mistakes. © 2018 IEEE.

In the presented work, the relative throughput of both a ground-based range transponder and the entire short-range radio engineering system is estimated under the action in the range channel of the total flow of range request signals. And also considered the requesting signals for unauthorized use of the rangefinder channel transponder by the interested party under the action of chaotic impulse noise flow. The evaluation was carried out on the basis of the representation of the channel for measuring the range of short-range radio engineering systems in the form of a non-synchronous network. We assume that the range request signals are serviced by an open single-channel queuing system with refusing according to the service scheme of the first correctly received range request signal. © 2022 IEEE.

The article discusses the issues of modeling and control of heating systems in a residential building. The results of the analysis, selection of parameters of the cascade control system are presented. An algorithm is presented that implements the operation of a virtual object. The modeling of typical life support structures in the CX-Programmer environment is carried out. A virtual object control program has been developed in the language of ladder diagrams (relay-contact circuits). The multi-circuit management of residential building infrastructure facilities in the light of the requirements of Smart City has been proposed. The selection and justification of the method of controlling the heating system with cascade temperature control is considered. A heating system stand has been created to test the proposed automation systems. The description of the hydraulic, electrical and software parts of the stand. To control the operation of the stand, a controller is proposed, implemented on the Arduino platform. The results confirming the attainability of the proposed structural changes. The results of experimental studies are presented.

Having precise information about how business processes are performed in real-life is an important competitive advantage for a modern company. The digital footprint left by processes in IT systems can be transformed to event data for further analysis by process mining techniques. One of the biggest challenge of process mining is to deal with streaming event data and provide operational support for the on-going processes. Current paper is devoted to a streaming process discovery algorithm implemented by the authors upon a near real-time process monitoring platform which is based on the lambda architecture.

A standard PC platform based simulator system for personnel training in anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) systems has been designed and implemented;its operation is managed through instructor-trainee interaction. It makes use of object-oriented simulation modeling, 6 degree-offreedom (6DOF) missile model and mask modeling of terrain and weather conditions. The main topic of research are the short-range and line-of-sight (CLOS) missiles as well as their guidance and control and target selection and tracking in combat situation. The simulation model specifications are built around the set of concurrent cooperating objects, including representation model of the system's environment. The set of compatible models and software implementations for missiles and moving ground targets, involving their interrelated kinematics, has been elaborated by own research entirely. An appropriate designed user-system interface employing Visual Basic enhances the instructor-trainee co-operation. Its significance stems fiom being usable for personnel training and simulating all typical combat situations given country's landscapes, and being amenable to adjustments to serve a combat command and control instrument if endowed with some hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) elements and interface to launching platform. In addition, it is aimed for investigating new tracking algorithms in multi-target environment. © 2003 IEEE.

The paper presents a simulation model of a hydraulic feed system with a differential cylinder, which allows you to explore the system and visually examine its operation. During the simulation, transient processes were obtained at various points of the hydraulic control system. The simulation results show the adequate operation of the system under study. The work is of interest to researchers and engineers in the field of building automatic hydraulic drive control systems. Also, the results obtained can be used for educational purposes. © 2023 IEEE.

In this work, with help of a software package implemented in Python, at the first stage, a finite element calculation of the temperature fields and thermoelastic stress fields formed during the processing of quartz glass plates by laser splitting was performed. At the second stage, based on the data obtained as a result of finite element modeling, the parameters of laser cutting of quartz plates were approximated using artificial neural networks. Neural networks and their training algorithms were implemented using the Keras library. At the third stage, the search for optimal laser cutting parameters was carried out using the author's genetic algorithm using the constructed neural network approximators. Finite element modeling in the developed software package was implemented using the FEniCS library and verified by comparing the obtained results with the corresponding values of maximum temperatures and thermoelastic stresses in the laser processing zone of quartz plates, determined using the APDL programming language in the Ansys software package.

The current paper uses neural network modeling and a genetic algorithm to determine the values of technological parameters that ensure effective laser cleaving of quartz glass when exposed to a laser beam with a wavelength equal to 10.6 µm and a refrigerant. Multi-criteria optimization of laser cleaving of quartz plates was performed according to the criteria of maximum tensile stresses and maximum processing speed.

The article discusses probable methods for designing measuring channels (further they will be referred to as MC) of automation systems for industrial facilities based on statistical criteria. A brief review of the design of measuring channels according to circuit design, metrological and statistical criteria is given. The main task of such designs is the selection and justification of the structural circuit type of the measuring channel (direct conversion channel, balanced channel), the selection of mathematical models for typical transducer links, the selection and mathematical description of interfering signals (additive and multiplicative interference caused by instability of the basic links of the measuring channel, description of random interference in the form of probability density). The ultimate goal of these procedures is to find the confidence interval (uncertainty interval) of the measuring channel as a whole. In this study common expressions were delivered for evaluating the probable result of a technological process with the help of MC. In most cases theses expressions were reduced to short formulas. For more complex expressions the numerical method was used and the results are demonstrated in charts. The “convolution” method was used to solve the task of this study.

The paper presents the implementation of a Continuous-Time Model Predictive control (CMPC) regulator for controlling an electrohydraulic servo system. The control object is a test bench consisting of three modules and a PC-based data acquisition and control system. The system is modeled in state-space form, accounting for parametric uncertainties. The synthesis of the model predictive controller is performed by approximating the control signal using Laguerre orthonormal functions. The article includes mathematical formulas and relationships that illustrate the modeling approach. Simulations and robust analysis of the closed-loop system are conducted. Through a real-time control system, experimental data and graphs are obtained, demonstrating the performance and optimality of the synthesized control strategy.
