Delivery routing and truck assignment for transportation resources are essential elements in the dynamic world of supply chain management and logistics. This study proposes a framework for maximising the number of trucks assigned and the delivery routes by using OR-Tools to solve the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) and the Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers (ADMM) for demand assignment. With consideration for each vehicle's capacity, air conditioning condition, and demand priority, we created a realistic dataset that included warehouse locations, truck specifications, and delivery demand priorities. A time matrix was created by converting a distance matrix and assuming a constant speed of movement between the warehouses. Based on compatibility restrictions including vehicle capacity, air conditioning requirements, demand priority, and overall cost reduction, the ADMM algorithm allocates delivery demands to trucks. To successfully balance these aspects, the objective function incorporates weights for cost, priority, and distance. Following demand assignment, delivery routes are optimised using OR-Tools. Time windows and vehicle capacities are included as limitations to guarantee that deliveries are made within predetermined windows while reducing travel time and distance. In addition, a web application that offers an interactive platform for managing trucks, warehouses, and needs was created utilising the Flask framework. Through an easy-to-use interface, users can examine optimised routes, add new entries, and view extensive informative dashboard. By meeting delivery deadlines and maximising resource utilisation, this integrated approach produces notable operational efficiencies. This illustrates the potential of fusing cutting-edge optimisation techniques with useful application to handle real-world logistics problems. © 2024 IEEE.

Lung diseases are wide group of diseases related to the respiratory system, and is ranging from acute infections to chronic disorders with multifactorial causes. Recognition of the lung disease is very crucial in the proper diagnosis, forecasting through prognosis, and remedies. Hence proposed lung disease classification with feature extraction technique. The proposed work carried out feature extraction with Gray-Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) and Local Phase Quantization (LPQ) combined with Convolutional Neural Network(CNN). The goal is to create a model that reduces diagnostic errors, ensuring more precise early detection and classification of pulmonary disorders. This initiative facilitates the advancement of pulmonary medicine by promoting accurate radiologic imaging, while future directions emphasize integrating medical workflows to enable personalized and timely diagnosis and treatment. Additionally, the ResNet model demonstrates superior performance in hernia detection, achieving a test accuracy of 89.43% for GLCM based feature extraction and Pneumonia detection with 79.20% test accuracy for LPQ based feature extraction. © 2024 IEEE.

Fall detection systems are critical in elderly care and healthcare monitoring, but traditional camera-based solutions raise significant privacy concerns. This research presents a novel approach utilizing LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) sensors for fall detection in indoor environments, addressing privacy issues while maintaining high accuracy. We introduce LiFall, a new dataset captured using a Velodyne VLP 16 Puck LiDAR sensor, comprising 12 scenes and over 500 frames simulating various fall scenarios (including back falls, bed falls, and walking falls), contributing to the scarcity of LiDAR-based fall detection datasets. Our methodology employs two advanced deep learning architectures: Annularly Convolutional Neural Networks (ACNN) and Dynamic Graph Convolutional Neural Networks (DGCNN). Evaluating these models on both the ModelNet40 dataset and our custom LiFall dataset, results show DGCNN outperforms ACNN, achieving an accuracy of 84% on the ModelNet40 dataset with a 70:30 train-test split. On the LiFall dataset, despite challenges with dataset imbalance and achieving lower detection accuracy even after data augmentation, our approach demonstrates the potential of LiDAR-based fall detection systems. Compared to other fall detection methods, our LiDAR-based system offers significant advantages beyond privacy preservation, such as robust performance in low-light conditions and the ability to capture detailed 3D spatial information. While our current implementation is limited to laboratory settings, future work will focus on real-world deployments and further addressing dataset imbalance issues to enhance overall system performance. This research contributes to the field by providing a privacy-preserving, high-performance alternative to camera-based fall detection systems, paving the way for more acceptable monitoring solutions in sensitive indoor environments. © 2025 IEEE.

Real-time network monitoring is a critical requirement for tracking user activities and ensuring optimal network performance. In this paper, we propose a big data approach to real-time network monitoring that leverages the capabilities of Apache Spark, MongoDB, and Apache Kafka with Python. Our approach utilizes distributed stream processing of network data, enabling real-time analytics for user activity monitoring and network performance optimization. Our approach demonstrates the effectiveness of our system through experiments with real network traffic data, showing how it can identify and track user activities in real-time. Our system can be used by network administrators and IT professionals to optimize network performance, improve user experience, and enhance security through real-time monitoring and analysis of user activity data. This approach can also be opted as a feature in SDNs. © 2023 IEEE.

In the era of internet of things (IoT), people are attentive to express their non verbal behavior on cyber world such as social media by using smart phone, laptop or tablet. People are more active in sharing their daily activities status such as current activity the person is into and personal life situations such as achievement, problem, stress and even any hazardous desire (i.e. suicide). In contrast with real world such as smart home environment, people generally spent their non verbal behavior in term of Activity Daily Livings (ADLs) in associating with smart home sensors. Based on non verbal and verbal behaviors, data are generated from both Cyber and Real world, which are big in volume and variety. However, there is lack of investigating Cyber and Real world data especially in analyzing the risk of committing suicide, considering suicide is a big issues and threats in the society. Therefore, it motivate us to propose prediction model to determine high and low risk of committing suicide by combining two separate approaches such as Activity Recognition (AR) for real world and Sentiment Analysis (SA) for cyber world. © 2024 IEEE.

computer Science domain has got massive developments in the past decade, especially in the field of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence. Many industries are adopting these technologies to improve their products and services. Healthcare is one such industry which comes across voluminous data. Big Data platform is used to process the data and subsequently AI models can be used for prediction or classification. This paper focuses on proposing a Spark based pipeline to reduce the time required to process the voluminous data. With the aid of this new pipeline, we classify the type of cancer through analysis of RNA-seq gene expression levels. The Spark-based pipeline is run on default standalone mode and on a cluster. The study recorded that the Spark-based pipeline run on cluster mode improved the performance approximately by 11 times (regarding processing costs) when compared to the performance of Python-based pipeline. © 2023 IEEE.

The rapid increase in urban vehicle numbers has significantly worsened traffic congestion, particularly in public parking spaces, where conventional parking systems often prove inefficient, leading to wasted time, excessive fuel consumption, and increased environmental pollution. A Smart Car Parking System is proposed to address these challenges by integrating advanced technologies, including the Internet of Things (IoT), to optimize parking operations. The system employs sensors embedded in parking spaces to detect vehicle presence and provide real-time data on availability. This enables drivers to locate free parking spaces efficiently, improving traffic flow. Additionally, the system offers valuable insights to city planners and facility managers, supporting optimal space allocation and dynamic pricing models. By reducing vehicle idling and unnecessary driving while searching for parking, the system helps minimize emissions, contributing to environmental sustainability. The study builds an automated smart car parking system for parking slot monitoring and gate control. The system ensures correct slot occupancy reading, status displayed in real time, and smooth operation of an opening and closing system. It manages additional features such as real-time sensor calibration and effective gate control with a high degree of accuracy and accountability. The proposed Smart Car Parking System represents a key innovation in urban mobility, offering a user-friendly, efficient, and ecofriendly solution to one of the most persistent challenges faced by modern cities. © 2025 IEEE.

Natural Language Processing (NLP) is revolutionizing the legal domain, enabling tasks such as predicting legal outcomes, summarizing complex documents, identifying key entities, and assessing bail risks. This survey paper presents a comprehensive review of the existing research on NLP tasks applied to legal documents and judgments across various languages, with a special emphasis on low-resource languages. Despite the extensive work done in widely spoken languages like English, there remains a critical need to extend these advancements to languages with limited resources and data availability. This paper categorizes and analyzes the NLP tasks in the legal domain based on the languages they target. It highlights the methodologies employed, datasets utilized, and the performance of different models across diverse languages. Furthermore, it identifies the gaps in current research and proposes potential directions for future work, particularly in improving the accessibility and applicability of NLP solutions for legal texts in underrepresented languages. By providing a comprehensive overview of advancements and obstacles, this survey seeks to assist future research endeavors that bridge the disparity between high-resource and low-resource languages in legalAI applications. © 2025 IEEE.

Smart cities, equipped with smart grid infrastructure, establish advanced communication networks that facilitate interactions among multiple entities. It is well-known that smart grid technology ensures the reliable transmission of electricity. Additionally, Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) significantly contribute to the efficient utilization of energy in mobility-aware environments. The Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) enables Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) communication, which is crucial for providing transportation services and managing PHEV recharging at user-preferred locations. This capability is a key element of smart city infrastructure. To optimize the use of PHEV services in a smart city, addressing the cost minimization of charging and discharging is essential. Therefore, this paper proposes a decision tree machine learning-based algorithm within a fog computing platform aimed at minimizing charging and discharging costs. Performance evaluation demonstrates that the model outperforms existing algorithms in terms of accuracy. These results indicate that our model can accurately predict the costs associated with charging and discharging PHEVs in smart city environments. © 2024 IEEE.
