To directly investigate the dynamic nanoscale phenomenon on the surface being processed in wet conditions such as precision polishing, and cleaning in semiconductor industrial, an optical method for visualization and observation of each sub-100 nm sized particle that is moving on an interface such as a silica glass surface by applying an evanescent field have been proposing. Subsequently, we developed an experimental apparatus equipped with an optical microscopy system for verifying the moving particle observation method in a laboratory scale. This article introduces some experimentally direct observation results of duplicated wet processes. © 2024 IEEE.

Robotics and haptic systems have allowed new and diverse applications in the field of medicine, such as assisted surgery and teleoperation which have increasingly stringent requirements for accuracy, convergence, and low computational consumption. In this paper an adaptive PID control law (Proportional Integral Derivative controller, PID), of indirect architecture is presented for movement paths in a haptic system of open chain, where the identification of the plant is through a quaternionic wavelet neural network (Quaternion Wavelet Neural Network, QWNN) for tune the PID values, this allows the optimal movement into the regions of the workspace.

In this work, we present the modeling of the dynamics of a robot manipulator using the Newton-Euler algorithm in the conformal algebra framework. The modeling of the dynamics of robot manipulators is currently done using the Euler-Lagrange formulation which is a batch type of computation. In contrast, in this paper, we propose a recursive algorithm for the modeling of the dynamics of robot manipulators using the Newton-Euler algorithm in the conformal geometric algebra framework.

An approach that allows to partially solve the Cover-Source Mismatch problem is described. Proposed approach is strictly limited by steganography that distortion can be localize. The article is devoted to applying proposed technique to Least Significant Bits Replacement steganography in image spatial domain. The calibrated images (without the least significant bit plane) are analyzed. The procedures of sorting, clustering and regression analysis are used. The results of the computer experiment indicating an accuracy improvement of steganalysis are presented.

One major goal of digital twin technology applied in the Architecture, engineering, and Construction (AEC) Industry is the mapping of roads and road environments with their associated information. Such digital twins can support cost-effective testing, simulations, and the production of mapping backgrounds for automated vehicles and generally for Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM) developments. The efficient workflow that leads from data acquisition to finished products depends on a number of requirements and knowledge sets. The main contribution of the paper is a general methodology of creating HD-map from point cloud and image data set. Accordingly, the most widely used survey techniques are presented and the requirements for the objects to be derived are summarized. The paper then outlines a general implementation procedure as an expert knowledge through a real-life example, where the results obtained for the ZalaZONE Automotive Proving Ground are demonstrated. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents the design of a Proportional-Integral Passivity-based controller (PI-PBC) for a current source inverter feeding a resistive load. Thanks to the definition of a new passive output, the closed-loop system is shown to be globally asymptotically stable. This result solves the internal stability problem reported for these power converters. To robustify the control algorithm, the paper also includes the design of a parameter estimation scheme for the parasitic resistances and the load conductance. Numerical simulations are carried out to validate the control algorithm. The simulation stage compares the behaviour using the averaged model of the power converter and a more realistic switching model, including the three-phase implementation.

An MPC controller is proposed to maximise the use of renewable energy in a manufacturing process. The strategy has been applied in a manufacturing system which has several machines, renewable generation resources, a combined heat and power (CHP) generator for power production, and a battery bank for energy storage. The work aims to maximise the use of renewable energy sources in this process, also taking into account the price of the electricity market, to reduce the cost. The use of neurofuzzy models for the prediction of the energy produced by renewable generators allows a dynamic prediction, using input values obtained from typical forecasting variables (wind speed, global irradiance, etc.).

A two-channel Sallen-Key low-pass filter on three non-inverting amplifiers is studied, which has the property of unrelated digital set of the upper cut-off frequency at constant index of the transmission coefficient in the bandwidth range. The restructuring of the upper cutoff frequency and the attenuation of the pole is carried out by modify the resistors' resistance of one in the upper channel of the low-pass filter. It is shown that a non-inverting amplifier in the lower channel of the low-pass filter can have a small value of the systematic zero bias voltage component, what is important for the operation of the low-pass filter at the input of analog-to-digital converters. It has been established that due to the construction of a low-pass filter according to a two-channel architecture, the requirement for the magnitude of the output static voltage of the upper channel is removed. The base equations of the new low-pass filter scheme are given and the summary modeling in the Micro-Cap was pictured. © 2022 IEEE.

Ocean wave energy has de potential to satisfy 15% of EU energy demand, cutting 136 MT/MWh off the CO2 emissions by 2050, as stated by the EU Energy Road Map. Analogously, the Spanish Renewable Energies Plan specifically highlighted the Spanish marine energy potential with special emphasis in wave energy. In this context, Oscillating Water Column (OWC) converters are maybe nowadays the most promising wave energy converters, with the potential capability of sea energy harnessing from diverse on-shore and floating structures. This paper presents an analytic modeling of the wave capture chamber for a fixed on-shore OWC wave power plant. The model is particularized and parameterized for the case of the Mutriku MOWC wave power plant, located in the Spanish Basque Country coast, and then validated using both measured real wave entry data and experimental generated output power from the plant

As knowledge of the biological and biophysical basis of cellular function has increased, opportunities to understand the cellular and molecular functioning of organic matter have expanded, and gene expression microarrays have become a widely used technique to study the dynamics of biological processes. In this paper, we present a gene expression analysis approach using R programming, starting from mRNA oligonucleotide matrices ending with interrelated genes, analyzed within a chosen biological process. © 2022, Politechnica University of Bucharest.
