Graph theory has the potential to become a major subject of study shortly. However, graph theory research is still in its infancy. In order to build a network mesh, graph theory is quite useful. The use of graph theor...

Real-time systems are complex to design and implement. Various modelling and simulation techniques are employed to make this task more structured and efficient. However, there is often a disconnect between modeling for simulation and development for deployment. In this paper we discuss a technique to bridge this gap between simulation and deployment, specifically dealing with a framework to handle asynchronous inputs into a system developed using the Discrete Event System Specification. Further, this paper presents a case study that demonstrates the effectiveness of the framework, and the congruence between simulation and deployment of a real-time system is determined.

The practice of testing in modeling and simulation software development can be a very lengthy and tedious process but is arguably one of the most important phases in the software development lifecycle. As the complexity of a simulation model increases, so does the amount of testing to thoroughly verify and validate and to achieve adequate quality assurance of the software. This paper introduces a testing framework that is used to assist in proving the validity of DEVS atomic models in the open-source simulation tool Cadmium. Furthermore, this framework utilizes the ChatGPT Application Programming Interface (API) to help lighten the workload involved in testing those DEVS atomic models. We show how to use the framework using the Cadmium simulator to show the effectiveness of the framework.

Twenty first century education must be adapted to feasibly train students in disruptive technologies that will drive the way of life in the near future and for many years to come. Traditional classroom teaching methods of one-way instruction without feedback have proven to be minimally effective, as feedback is necessary in the process of learning to make teaching organic to the needs of the students. It has been proven that active learning techniques produce better outcomes in learning. It is, therefore, imperative that such techniques be used to better educate students. This is especially important in the post-COVID era, where it has been noted that the quality of education and preparation of some students suffered during the pandemic. Formatively Assessed Student-Centered Instruction and Learning (FAISCAL) Strategy is a strategy implemented in the NSF Grant 'Transforming the classroom into an active learning environment to improve comprehension, retention and graduation rates' and includes use of Discipline-Based Education Research (DBER) findings. The strategy was implemented in the undergraduate Electrical and computerengineering Logic Circuits class and is a blend of methods including DBER techniques, and is unique to the author's knowledge. It is used to improve student comprehension, retention and graduation rates. It involves use of pre-lecture reading, reading quizzes, in-class formative questions, in-class formative quizzes, summative assessments, group learning techniques and daily feedback about conceptual difficulties and changes thought needed for lecture implementation via anonymous survey. It also uses student feedback obtained in the Logic Circuits course after students took the class in which these learning strategies were implemented. This paper discusses the strategy, insights, challenges in implementing the strategy, and ways to overcome them. Pre-lecture reading assignments proved most helpful in students' understanding of material based on s
