NASA is actively addressing communication challenges, particularly in developing phased array antenna systems (PAAS) within the 2-2.5 GHz frequency band. The initial stages involve designing individual flexible antenna elements and non-phased antenna arrays. To address the issues of conformal phased array antennas, this work presents design enhancements for a 3D-printable microstrip patch antenna using a conductive Electrifi filament.
