This work introduces a comprehensive hardware and software solution for an underwater Stereo Vision System. Rigorous robustness and resistance studies were conducted using finite element analysis, accompanied by a meticulous selection of materials and design considerations. Multiple tests were executed to determine optimal camera configuration parameters, ensuring the acquisition of high-quality images and accurate 3D information. A Robot Operating System-based software for fish detection and classification was also integrated into the system, enabling the creation of 3D point clouds. The entire system was successfully tested in a real marine environment, and the results demonstrated the robustness of the hardware design and the potential of the software for fish biomass estimation applications. These findings confirm that the proposed solution is effective and can be practically applied in underwater environments. © 2024 IEEE.

Skin cancer, a prevalent and potentially life-threatening disease, necessitates accurate and timely diagnosis for effective treatment. In addressing this critical healthcare challenge, this research proposes a novel approach to skin cancer classification. The study identifies the need for enhanced diagnostic accuracy and introduces a solution by integrating the efficiency of transfer learning, specifically utilizing the EfficientNet V2 architecture. The proposed methodology leverages pre-trained convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to extract high-level features from dermatological images, which are subsequently input into a sophisticated classifier, forming a robust framework for precise skin cancer classification. The research employs a diverse dataset comprising 3297 images sourced from the publicly available Skin Cancer ISIC archive dataset, ensuring comprehensive coverage of benign and malignant skin lesions. During the training phase, the proposed EfficientNet V2 transfer learning approach outperforms conventional methods, achieving an impressive accuracy of 84%, surpassing both Inception V3 (82%) and a generic CNN model (81%). Interpretability analysis is conducted to elucidate the decision-making process of the EfficientNet V2 model, providing insights into the key features influencing its predictions. This transparency is crucial for building trust in the model's recommendations and facilitating its seamless integration into clinical workflows. The EfficientNet V2 transfer learning approach emerges as a promising and effective solution for advancing skin cancer classification systems, contributing significantly to the ongoing efforts to improve diagnostic accuracy in dermatology. © 2024 IEEE.

This study proposes a convolution-free transformer-based method for generating accurate descriptions of images. A Vision Transformer is utilized as the primary encoder, replacing traditional CNN, and a Meshed Memory Transformer is integrated for generating captions. The Vision Transformer splits images into fixed-size patches for extracting visual features, which are further processed by a memory-augmented encoder to integrate prior knowledge. It ensures key features are preserved and reused and the meshed decoder combines the text embedding with the outputs from each encoding layer to generate more contextually rich and accurate captions compared to conventional approaches. The model's performance is evaluated on the Flickr30K and the MSCOCO datasets, demonstrating that the Meshed Memory architecture in our approach improves both the image encoding and caption generation step. Our model outperforms the conventional 'CNN-LSTM' models and 'CNN-Transformer' methods, achieving a 1.02% improvement in METEOR and 1.31% in SPICE on the MSCOCO dataset. Additionally, on the Flickr30k dataset, our approach exhibits superior performance across most metrics, notably a 6.37% increase in the METEOR score. © 2024 IEEE.

In today's rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, the integration of cutting-edge technologies such as IoT and wearable devices has led to significant advancements, particularly in the realm of remote patient monitoring. Despite these advancements, the traditional client/server architecture prevalent in current implementations presents substantial challenges related to security and privacy, leaving healthcare systems vulnerable to various attacks. Consequently, stringent regulatory and security measures are imperative to safeguard health data. To address these challenges and meet regulatory requirements, transitioning to a distributed architecture is essential. Blockchain technology, renowned for its distributed nature and robust security features, offers a promising solution to mitigate the security risks inherent in IoT-based systems. Motivated by these considerations, this study introduces HealthLink - a secure healthcare framework that seamlessly integrates IoT and Blockchain *** is designed to facilitate remote patient monitoring, particularly for chronic diseases that require continuous oversight. The framework prioritizes security, scalability, and processing efficiency. Security measures include the use of re-encryption proxies combined with Blockchain for hash data storage, while access control is managed through smart contracts. To enhance Blockchain scalability, an off-chain IPFS-based database is employed for data storage, and the Ethereum Blockchain-based proof of authority is leveraged to expedite data storage processes. As a practical demonstration, we apply the HealthLink system to diabetes management, presenting execution results through system interfaces. Experimental findings highlight substantial enhancements in the security of healthcare systems compared to conventional methodologies, underscoring the potential of HealthLink to revolutionize remote patient monitoring and data security in healthcare. © 2024 IEEE.

The growth of e-commerce has altered how consumers shop, providing a digital space where convenience, vast product offerings, and competitive pricing converge. In today's world, e-commerce websites are transitioning from traditional search-driven methods to customized and intuitive approaches via product suggestions. Product recommendation systems are vital in e-commerce, from bringing new business to retaining existing ones. Our three-part recommendation system is designed so that new users have a great and engaging experience as the Product Popularity -Based System shows them carefully chosen products that are in demand. Collaborative Filtering Recommendations are highly personalized recommendations given to people who have already made their first purchases based on their prior actions and preferences. The K-Means Clustering-Based Recommendation System uses textual clustering analysis to deliver contextually relevant recommendations. We use a variety of evaluation metrics, such as click-through rates, user engagement, and the Silhouette Score, to assess the effectiveness and accuracy of our recommendation systems. Our findings show significant increases in user engagement, conversion rates, and relevant recommendations. Our findings demonstrate the transformative power of well-designed recommendation systems, which improve user experiences and retention and provide invaluable solutions for businesses entering the e-commerce space. This paper provides an in-dept. examination of the multifaceted landscape of e-commerce recommendations, shedding light on their far-reaching implications for customer acquisition and retention in this dynamic digital era. © 2024 IEEE.

The current circumstances, it is imperative to prioritize the implementation of effective strategies to mitigate the negative Water contamination is a prominent environmental concern in contemporary society. The lack of standardized benchmarks and measurements, as well as the absence of widely acknowledged standards for data, make it challenging to compare current research efforts in the field of automatic waste identification. This article addresses the aforementioned issues by offering a comprehensive examination of current underwater waste datasets and a concise yet insightful evaluation of existing waste detection algorithms based on Deep Learning. This article compiles and synthesizes prior research and presents the findings of the authors' own tests conducted on the provided datasets. The objective is to provide a first reproducible benchmark for detecting waste using YOLOv8. These datasets are collected from open-source datasets. They include comprehensive annotations that encompass all conceivable waste categories, such as bio, glass, metal and plastic, non-recyclable, other, paper, and unknown. The technique provided in this study demonstrates a maximum average accuracy of 92% on the dataset. The findings indicated that the enhanced model successfully achieved the detection and identification of waste present in underwater. © 2023 IEEE.

Fatigue during driving significantly impairs a driver's reaction time, awareness, and decision-making abilities, leading to an increased risk of accidents. Recognising and mitigating driver fatigue is crucial for enhancing road safety and preventing potential collisions. This research introduces a non-intrusive method to reduce road accidents caused by driver fatigue. Recognising that accidents often occur due to lapses in driver alertness, the system utilises an affordable, high-quality webcam and dashcam. The approach involves extracting essential information through a multi-stage monitoring process to evaluate the driver's state thoroughly. The study includes a detailed analysis of webcam specifications, such as resolution, frame rate, and additional features. It also compares the traditional cascading technique with the advanced MediaPipe method, incorporating facial recognition, eye movement tracking, and head position analysis to detect driver fatigue accurately. © 2024 IEEE.

Nowadays, the DHCP starvation attack is a crucial attack that denied the services for the legitimate network user where the attacker mainly occupies all the IP addresses in the DHCP server pool. Most of the existing studies proposed ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) and the ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) based techniques to detect the DHCP starvation attack. However, the ICMP-based detection is ineffective if the client has an active host-based firewall that blocks the ICMP ECHO REQUEST, while the ARP-based detection does not work for DHCP networks separated by a DHCP relay agent and works only within the same or local network. Therefore, the objective of this research is to propose an effective technique to detect DHCP starvation attack detection through port scanning to address the limitations of ICMP and ARP-based detection methods. To attain this objective, this study first highlights the limitations of existing detection methods demonstrating insightful facts. Secondly, the study proposed a port scan-based DHCP starvation attack detection method for local and remote (relay) DHCP networks. Finally, the effectiveness and validation of the proposed techniques were demonstrated using the Multivendor Network Emulation Software (EVE-NG). The study showed that the proposed port scanning-based technique could accurately detect the DHCP starvation attack while overcoming the limitations of the ICMP and ARP techniques. © 2023 IEEE.

Human emotions are unpredictable as they change very frequently. Human emotions areinvoluntary mental states of feelings and are accompanied by physiological changes. Emotions which can be detected through the facial expressions play a major role and are very much important for non-verbal communication as they reflect on their faces. In the process of developing computer modeling of human's emotions, a lot researches have been made. Therefore, a chatbot detecting the emotions can be a better approach for detecting emotions. In this study, it demonstrate that Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) offer a superior method for detecting human emotions and develop a deep learning model that can accurately classify the facial expressions. The FER 2013 dataset was used in this study's training. The evaluation of the suggested approach produces pretty accurate findings, which could inspire academics to develop a Chabot model based on emotions in the future. © 2023 IEEE.

This study has proposed a novel technique for performing object detection and image classification with a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architecture. Nevertheless, employing a 2D CNN architecture to identify a lot of patients as AD or MCI based on 3D MR Images becomes challenging when dealing with hundreds of MRI images that are highly similar in nature. It provides a solution to this problem that streamlines the concept of classification of patients based on 3D MRI by exploiting 2D data produced by the CNN structure. In this method, 2D characteristics from MRI are extracted and then converted by using an appropriate Machine Learning (ML) algorithm for categorization. © 2023 IEEE.
