The OLSR routing protocol is a proactive Linkstate routing protocol in Ad hoc networks. It uses MPR nodes to spread TC messages across the network, reducing the flooding of protocol control messages in the network. However, all MPR nodes used to propagate a TC message in the whole network are not optimal, and there are a lot of redundancy, which results in unnecessary forwarding of TC messages and increases the overhead of control protocol. To overcome this limitation, the concepts of multi-point one hop neighbor relay (MPOHNR) and multi-point two hop neighbor relay (MPTHNR) are proposed, and the node selection algorithms of MPOHNR and MPTHNR are given. By using MPOHNR and MPTHNR to forward TC messages alternately, the number of forwarding nodes is reduced, the control protocol overhead is reduced, the effective bandwidth of the link is greatly increased, and the end-to-end average delay is reduced. Numerical simulations by using the EXATA software verifies that, the improved OLSR routing protocol is a potential design method for optimizing OLSR routing protocol.

With the rapid growth of transportation passenger flow in recent years, the research direction of Virtual Coupling (V C) in railways has become hot. V C increases capacity by tracking shorter distances. The traditional train emergency braking (EB) model can no longer meet the high operating efficiency requirements of VC. VC urgently needs a more efficient safety EB model. Therefore, to improve efficiency, a measurement of the EB model's rationality is defined considering safety and efficiency. Based on the defined model measurement, an EB model optimization method and a new EB model are proposed. The new model is closer to the actual braking process of the train and ensures safety from the distance level. That is, the braking trajectory of the train calculated by the new model is closer to the actual braking trajectory of the train, and the two braking trajectories satisfy the specific safety constraints. Finally, the safety and efficiency of the new model were verified through simulation experiments. The new model can avoid train collisions during the entire EB process. Experimental results show that compared with the traditional old EB model of VC based on space-time interval [1], the new model's minimum safe distance (MSD) between two VC train units can be reduced by 39%.

Against the backdrop of the increasing proportion of new energy generation, pumped storage, as the main energy storage method, face problems of low utilization and poor economic benefits. To improve the enthusiasm and overall efficiency of pumped storage power stations, this article proposes an optimized control strategy for pumped storage power stations that takes into account cost sharing. This strategy combines the PSS allocation system operation rules and control strategies to improve the utilization of PSS capacity by expanding its application scenario range, and to increase its enthusiasm for extraction by increasing rental income; This article takes a regional power grid in northwest China as an example for analysis, and the results show that the proposed strategy can effectively improve the utilization level and economic benefits of PSS.

Large scale photovoltaic power stations are connected to the power grid system, and their capacity proportion is higher and higher, which brings great challenges to the operation of power grid. It is urgent to present a kind of schedulability of photovoltaic power stations. At the same time, the fast response characteristics of photovoltaic inverter provide conditions for photovoltaic power station to have fast power regulation and support system fast frequency modulation function. This paper presents a coordinated control technology composed of automatic generation control (AGC) system at station level and active power frequency droop control with dead zone control to realize fast frequency regulation of photovoltaic power station in power grid. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of fast frequency modulation technology are verified by frequency disturbance and AGC coordination test in a photovoltaic power station in Shaanxi Province. © 2021 IEEE.

An increasing trend in the use of neural networks in control systems is being observed. The aim of this paper is to reveal that the straightforward application of learning neural network feedforward controllers with closed-loop data may introduce parameter inconsistency that degrades control performance, and to provide a solution. The proposed method employs instrumental variables to ensure consistent parameter estimates. A nonlinear system example reveals that the developed instrumental variable neural network (IVNN) approach asymptotically recovers the optimal solution, while pre-existing approaches are shown to lead to inconsistent estimates. The application of virtual synchronous generator (VSG) in new energy grid connected power generation and microgrid application has become a research hotspot. When VSG technology is used for primary frequency regulation control of energy storage, it can be not solved the possibility that the frequency and voltage of microgrid will change greatly. Due to sudden increase or drop of load or adjustment of new energy power generation power under isolated operation mode of microgrid which will eventually lead to failure of microgrid re-grid operation. The secondary frequency modulation control is proposed to reestablish the active power frequency balance point and reactive power voltage balance point of the microgrid system under the island operation mode. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is verified by building a simulation model of wind, light and storage combined microgrid on the simulation platform. © 2021 IEEE.

Static models, segmentation models and dynamic models for soft sensing of SO2 emission were developed based on the Ordinary Least Squares, Support Vector Regression, eXtreme Gradient Boosting, Random Forest and Artificial Neural Network algorithms with real operational data from a 1000 MW coal-fired power plant with ultra-low emission systems. The predicted results of test set show that static models are not suitable for modeling the desulfurization systems with complex condition and time-delay process. Thus, segmentation models and dynamic models are used to optimize the prediction accuracy. All the predicted performance of the nonlinear models was improved significantly with dynamic model, while the predicted performance of the linear model was improved with segmentation model. The dynamic Artificial Neural Network model achieves the most accurate regression result (R2=70.44%). The results show the superiority of the dynamic Artificial Neural Network model over the other and the dynamic Support Vector Regression model perform second-best. © 2022, The Authors. Nonlinear ultrasonic guided waves technology has shown excellent application potential in the field of structural stress testing due to its unique nonlinear characteristics and long distance detection range. However, the diversity and complexity of effects about stress on different cumulative second harmonics constrain the development of related research. In this paper, a numerical study about the response Law of different cumulative second harmonics with stress is undertaken based on ABAQUS software. A plate finite element model is established and the corresponding simulation experiment is carried out. The simulation result demonstrates that the variation tendencies of different cumulative second harmonic modes with stress are different, and their relative nonlinear parameters are monotonically increasing or decreasing with the increase of tensile stress. Therefore, in the application of stress detection, it is essential to analyze the response law of the selected cumulative second harmonic mode with stress change in advance. The simulation method proposed in this paper is also applicable to other studies about nonlinear ultrasonic waves and has wide applicability.

Aiming at the problem of leakage detection of seepage control geomembranes in landfills, a fully autonomous dipole method detection system based on a quadruped robot equipped with a dipole sensor is designed. The feasibility and superiority of using a quadruped robot are analyzed on the basis of the detection principle of the dipole method. Due to the problems existing in the process of upgrading the artificial static detection to autonomous dynamic detection, a dynamic detection method based on a quadruped robot is designed while the structure construction of the dipole method on the quadruped robot is completed. The experimental results show that the efficiency of geomembrane leakage detection can be improved with detection system method employed in this paper.

We present a four-channel ultrafast wavelength-swept distributed feedback (DFB) semiconductor laser array based on the reconstruction-equivalent-chirp (REC) technique using instantaneous injection current modulation. With the aid of our designed laser driving circuit system consists of the microcontroller unit (MCU), field-programmable gate array (FPGA) and negative metal-oxide-semiconductor field effect transistors (n-MOSFETs), the precise pulse driving current for the 4-channel wavelength-swept REC-DFB laser array can be generated and a fast tuning of 16.424 nm within 10 μs is achieved. To further investigate the tuning performance of the proposed wavelength-swept laser source, we then applied it to the fiber Bragg grating (FBG) interrogation system and four FBG temperature sensor arrays were successfully demodulated. The development of high-efficient optical sensing systems heavily relies on the significance of the ultrafast wavelength-swept laser source, which has the potential to greatly enhance FBG interrogator performance in the future. © 2023 IEEE.
