The recommendation of appropriate development pathways, also known as ecological civilization patterns for achieving Sustainable Development Goals (namely, sustainable development patterns), are of utmost importance for promoting ecological, economic, social, and resource sustainability in a specific region. To achieve this, the recommendation process must carefully consider the region's natural, environmental, resource, and economic characteristics. However, current recommendation algorithms in the field of computer science fall short in adequately addressing the spatial heterogeneity related to environment and sparsity of regional historical interaction data, which limits their effectiveness in recommending sustainable development patterns. To overcome these challenges, this paper proposes a method called User Graph after Pruning and Intent Graph (UGPIG). Firstly, we utilize the high-density linking capability of the pruned User Graph to address the issue of spatial heterogeneity neglect in recommendation algorithms. Secondly, we construct an Intent Graph by incorporating the intent network, which captures the preferences for attributes including environmental elements of target regions. This approach effectively alleviates the problem of sparse historical interaction data in the region. Through extensive experiments, we demonstrate that UGPIG outperforms state-of-the-art recommendation algorithms like KGCN, KGAT, and KGIN in sustainable development pattern recommendations, with a maximum improvement of 9.61% in Top-3 recommendation performance. MSC Codes 93J08In this paper, we investigate the problem of estimating the 4-DOF (three-dimensional position and orientation) robot-robot relative frame transformation using odometers and distance measurements between robots. Firstly, we apply a two-step estimation method based on maximum likelihood estimation. Specifically, a good initial value is obtained through unconstrained least squares and projection, followed by a more accurate estimate achieved through one-step Gauss-Newton iteration. Additionally, the optimal installation positions of Ultra-Wideband (UWB) are provided, and the minimum operating time under different quantities of UWB devices is determined. Simulation demonstrates that the two-step approach offers faster computation with guaranteed accuracy while effectively addressing the relative transformation estimation problem within limited space constraints. Furthermore, this method can be applied to real-time relative transformation estimation when a specific number of UWB devices are installed. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Personalized federated learning (PFL) on graphs is an emerging field focusing on the collaborative development of architectures across multiple clients, each with distinct graph data distributions while adhering to strict privacy standards. This area often requires extensive expert intervention in model design, which is a significant limitation. Recent advancements have aimed to automate the search for graph neural network architectures, incorporating large language models (LLMs) for their advanced reasoning and self-reflection capabilities. However, two technical challenges persist. First, although LLMs are effective in natural language processing, their ability to meet the complex demands of graph neural architecture search (GNAS) is still being explored. Second, while LLMs can guide the architecture search process, they do not directly solve the issue of client drift due to heterogeneous data distributions. To address these challenges, we introduce a novel method, Personalized Federated Graph Neural Architecture Search (PFGNAS). This approach employs a task-specific prompt to identify and integrate optimal GNN architectures continuously. To counteract client drift, PFGNAS utilizes a weight-sharing strategy of supernet, which optimizes the local architectures while ensuring client-specific personalization. Extensive evaluations show that PFGNAS significantly outperforms traditional PFL methods, highlighting the advantages of integrating LLMs into personalized federated learning environments. Graph neural networks (GNNs) have gained significant attention and have been applied in various domain tasks. Currently, numerous pooling approaches have been proposed to aggregate node features and obtain node embeddings. However, current GNNs are almost black-box models that typically use a flat or single pooling step to aggregate nodes by only considering the similarity between nodes within the cluster. These approaches ignore the influence of relationships within and between clusters. To address this issue, we propose a novel multi-granular pooling method to aggregate nodes by simultaneously considering density and relationships among nodes and clusters. This method allows to obtain multi-granular node embedding clusters. The clusters in the current layer are built upon the previous layer, and these clusters change from fine to coarse as the number of clusters decreases, which is achieved by using multi-granular pooling (MgrPool for short). Additionally, the node representation of each layer is established through the ratio of node distance within clusters to that of between clusters. Finally, we conduct several experiments on node and graph classification tasks by this pooling approach. The results demonstrate that our GNN-MgrPool model outperforms the state-of-the-art similar algorithms and largely improves the interpretability of the learning process. © 2023, The Authors. Unconventional spin-orbit torque (SOT) has garnered significant attention due to its potential for enabling energy-efficient and deterministic control of magnetization states. Noncollinear antiferromagnets (NCAFs) are considered ideal systems for generating such unconventional SOTs, making them highly promising for the development of next-generation spintronic devices. In this study, we report the generation of spin torques in noncollinear antiferromagnetic MnGe, revealing the presence of unconventional spin polarizations (specifically, - and -polarized spin currents) by employing the spin-torque ferromagnetic resonance (ST-FMR) technique. All-electric SOT switching was successfully demonstrated in a MnGe-based device with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA), with a critical current density of 4.2 × 10 A/cm. Furthermore, the device exhibits memristive behavior that effectively emulates the functionality of artificial synapses in convolutional neural networks (CNNs), achieving an accuracy of 92.5% in digital recognition tasks. These results are expected to pave the way toward next-generation fast and energy-efficient memory and neuromorphic computing.

Diffusion models are initially designed for image generation. Recent research shows that the internal signals within their backbones, named activations, can also serve as dense features for various discriminative tasks such as semantic segmentation. Given numerous activations, selecting a small yet effective subset poses a fundamental problem. To this end, the early study of this field performs a large-scale quantitative comparison of the discriminative ability of the activations. However, we find that many potential activations have not been evaluated, such as the queries and keys used to compute attention scores. Moreover, recent advancements in diffusion architectures bring many new activations, such as those within embedded ViT modules. Both combined, activation selection remains unresolved but overlooked. To tackle this issue, this paper takes a further step with a much broader range of activations evaluated. Considering the significant increase in activations, a full-scale quantitative comparison is no longer operational. Instead, we seek to understand the properties of these activations, such that the activations that are clearly inferior can be filtered out in advance via simple qualitative evaluation. After careful analysis, we discover three properties universal among diffusion models, enabling this study to go beyond specific models. On top of this, we present effective feature selection solutions for several popular diffusion models. Finally, the experiments across multiple discriminative tasks validate the superiority of our method over the SOTA competitors. New Approach for Efficient Malicious Multiparty Private Set Intersection

The Multiparty Private Set Intersection (MPSI) protocol allows untrusted parties to compute the intersection of their sets without revealing any additional information. However, existing solutions face challenges in terms of security and efficiency. Some schemes are secure only against semi-honest adversaries and cannot effectively defend against malicious adversaries. Other schemes, while capable of withstanding malicious adversaries, exhibit efficiency problems, especially as the number of corrupt participants increases. A practical solution must maintain high security and efficiency, even when handling large-scale data and a majority of corrupted *** paper introduces a novel scheme named TH-PSI, built upon a new star-shaped topological network communication framework based on the trusted execution environment. TH-PSI has been rigorously proven to be secure within the standard UC framework against malicious adversaries. To demonstrate the efficiency of TH-PSI, we implement the TH-PSI scheme and tested it in both LAN and WAN settings, involving up to 30 participants and datasets as large as $2^{22}$. We compare TH-PSI with state-of-the-art schemes, ENOC21 and NTY21. Our experiments show that TH-PSI is an efficient solution capable of delivering results within a matter of seconds, even when dealing with data at the million-level and a majority of corrupted participants. © 2023, The Authors. CA-Edit: Causality-Aware Condition Adapter for High-Fidelity Local Facial Attribute Editing

For efficient and high-fidelity local facial attribute editing, most existing editing methods either require additional finetuning for different editing effects or tend to affect beyond the editing regions. Alternatively, inpainting methods can edit the target image region while preserving external areas. However, current inpainting methods still suffer from the generation misalignment with facial attributes description and the loss of facial skin details. To address these challenges, (i) a novel data utilization strategy is introduced to construct datasets consisting of attribute-text-image triples from a data-driven perspective, (ii) a Causality-Aware Condition Adapter is proposed to enhance the contextual causality modeling of specific details, which encodes the skin details from the original image while preventing conflicts between these cues and textual conditions. In addition, a Skin Transition Frequency Guidance technique is introduced for the local modeling of contextual causality via sampling guidance driven by low-frequency alignment. Extensive quantitative and qualitative experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our method in boosting both fidelity and editability for localized attribute editing. GrabDAE: An Innovative Framework for Unsupervised Domain Adaptation Utilizing Grab-Mask and Denoise Auto-Encoder

Unsupervised Domain Adaptation (UDA) aims to adapt a model trained on a labeled source domain to an unlabeled target domain by addressing the domain shift. Existing Unsupervised Domain Adaptation (UDA) methods often fall short in fully leveraging contextual information from the target domain, leading to suboptimal decision boundary separation during source and target domain alignment. To address this, we introduce GrabDAE, an innovative UDA framework designed to tackle domain shift in visual classification tasks. GrabDAE incorporates two key innovations: the Grab-Mask module, which blurs background information in target domain images, enabling the model to focus on essential, domain-relevant features through contrastive learning;and the Denoising Auto-Encoder (DAE), which enhances feature alignment by reconstructing features and filtering noise, ensuring a more robust adaptation to the target domain. These components empower GrabDAE to effectively handle unlabeled target domain data, significantly improving both classification accuracy and robustness. Extensive experiments on benchmark datasets, including VisDA-2017, OfficeHome, and Office31, demonstrate that GrabDAE consistently surpasses state-of-the-art UDA methods, setting new performance benchmarks. By tackling UDA’s critical challenges with its novel feature masking and denoising approach, GrabDAE offers both significant theoretical and practical advancements in domain adaptation. © 2024, CC BY-NC-SA.

HairDiffusion: Vivid Multi-Colored Hair Editing via Latent Diffusion

Hair editing is a critical image synthesis task that aims to edit hair color and hairstyle using text descriptions or reference images, while preserving irrelevant attributes (e.g., identity, background, cloth). Many existing methods are based on StyleGAN to address this task. However, due to the limited spatial distribution of StyleGAN, it struggles with multiple hair color editing and facial preservation. Considering the advancements in diffusion models, we utilize Latent Diffusion Models (LDMs) for hairstyle editing. Our approach introduces Multi-stage Hairstyle Blend (MHB), effectively separating control of hair color and hairstyle in diffusion latent space. Additionally, we train a warping module to align the hair color with the target region. To further enhance multi-color hairstyle editing, we fine-tuned a CLIP model using a multi-color hairstyle dataset. Our method not only tackles the complexity of multi-color hairstyles but also addresses the challenge of preserving original colors during diffusion editing. Extensive experiments showcase the superiority of our method in editing multi-color hairstyles while preserving facial attributes given textual descriptions and reference images. © 2024, CC BY.
