Industry 4.0 intends to realize mass individualization production driven by customers’ demands, thus generating several advanced manufacturing modes. However, the existing modes have disadvantages such as low customer participation, low response for modifications in real-time, and low utilization of distributed idle productivity resources. The above deficiencies would not cater to the idea of Industry 4.0 well, making the cost of individualization products too high or the degree of individualization too low. In this paper, a customer highly involved dynamic demand-driven smart manufacturing mode and a mathematical model are presented for mass individualization production. Under this mode, customers can be prosumers, participating in the whole production process and proposing modifications. Meanwhile, multiple distributed idle productivity resources are employed with dynamic demand-driven manufacturing. In consequence of the mathematical model and algorithms, the multiple task allocation among multiple factories problem is solved, maximizing the total profit of available factories with high efficiency and low resource waste. Experiments and comparisons are made about the feasibility and efficiency of the algorithms.

Liver disease diagnosis is pivotal for effective patient management, and machine learning techniques have shown promise in this domain. In this study, we investigate the impact of Polynomial-SHapley Additive exPlanations analysis on enhancing the performance and interpretability of machine learning models for liver disease classification. Our results demonstrate significant improvements in accuracy, precision, recall, F1_score, and Matthews correlation coefficient across various algorithms when polynomial- SHapley Additive exPlanations analysis is applied. Specifically, the Light Gradient Boosting Machine model achieves exceptional performance with 100 % accuracy in both scenarios. Furthermore, by comparing the results obtained with and without the approach, we observe substantial differences in the performance, highlighting the importance of incorporating Polynomial-SHapley Additive exPlanations analysis for improved model performance. The Polynomial features and SHapley Additive exPlanations values also enhance the interpretability of machine learning models by capturing complex feature interactions, enabling users to gain deeper insights into the underlying mechanisms driving the diagnosis. Moreover, data rebalancing using Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique and parameter tuning were employed to optimize the performance of the models. These findings underscore the significance of employing this analytical approach in machine-learning-based diagnostic systems for liver diseases, offering superior performance and enhanced interpretability for informed decision-making in clinical practice. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd

In large-scale SDN network, a single centralized controller can not meet the demand, and multiple controllers are needed to deal with the problem, which leads to the problem of multi control balanced deployment. In this paper, the topology of SDN switches and links is known. The main research contents are as follows: The mathematical model of SDN multi controller deployment is established, and the appropriate network topology is selected and the multi controller deployment problem is solved. In the research, the number of controllers needed in the network and the switches managed by each controller is determined by the algorithm results, and the mapping relationship between controllers and switches is established. By analyzing the deployment results of the same network topology under different algorithms, the influence of different clustering algorithms on the experimental results is obtained. Computer security is very important since three decades ago, which becomes quite challenging especially in the wireless access scenarios. In this paper, we summarize the technologies of the development over the computer security. Then, we propose a couple of iterative algorithms to carry out the laptop selection to wirelessly access the computer networks with the existence of the eavesdropper. The goal of designing the algorithms is, respectively, to maximize the secured throughput of the wireless access channel and maximize the energy efficiency for the target laptop with the existence of the eavesdropper. Simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms. © 2019, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Both the power and the information are transmitted wirelessly, respectively, in downlink and uplink traffics for spatial-division multiple access networks. The receiver in uplink is equipped with multiple antennas to support the multiple access *** the first frequency band, the transmitter sends power wirelessly to multiple users at the same time. In the second frequency band, all the users utilize the received power, respectively, to send information wirelessly to the receiver (the same node in the downlink). The objective is to achieve the best energy efficiency over the whole networks while assuring the required quality of service in terms of the minimum throughput over all the unlink traffics. The unknown parameter is the transmit power in downlink. The difficulty is to deal with the hard derivations over the closed-form solution to the complicated problem. The proposed method successfully obtains the optimal solution in terms of the closed form. Numerical simulations verify the good performance achieved by our proposed method. © 2019, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Q&A driven conversational recommendation integrating multiple interest modeling

The conversational recommendation aims to provide users with recommendations in an interaction form of “system Ask-User Respond”. Existing studies rarely consider combining users’ multi-interest at the attribute level for preference modeling, and conduct inefficient conversational recommendation strategy learning, which affects the recommendation performance and conversation performance. To this end, we proposed a Q-A driven conversational recommendation method integrating multiple interest modeling. Specifically, we integrate the user’s positive and negative feedback to model a session dynamic graph, then use the signed graph convolutional network for graph representation learning, and we model multiple interest sequences based on the attention mechanism, then obtain the user interest state representation by fusing of sequence representations to solve the problem of insufficient user preference representation. Besides, we proposed a personalized decision space optimization method to narrow the range of action candidates and train the model with a multi-agent reinforcement learning method integrating hierarchical decision debiasing to solve the problem of poor conversational recommendation strategy learning effect. Experimental results on three public datasets, LastFM, Yelp, and Book, show that compared with existing conversational recommendation methods, our method demonstrates consistent performance improvement across all datasets. In addition, the results of ablation experiments verify the effectiveness of each component in our method.

Quantum reversible circuits for multiplicative inverse

The synthesis of quantum circuits for multiplicative inverse over $\operatorname{GF}(2^{8})$ are discussed in this paper. We first convert the multiplicative inverse operation in $\operatorname{GF}(2^{8})$ to arithmetic operations in the composite field $\operatorname{GF}((2^{4})^{2})$ , and then discuss the expressions of the square calculation, the inversion calculation and the multiplication calculation separately in the finite field $\operatorname{GF}(2^{4})$ , where the expressions of multiplication calculation in $\operatorname{GF}(2^{4})$ are given directly in $\operatorname{GF}(2^{4})$ and given through being transformed into the composite field $\operatorname{GF}((2^{2})^{2})$ . Then the quantum circuits of these calculations are realized one by one. Finally, two quantum circuits for multiplicative inverse over $\operatorname{GF}(2^{8})$ are synthesized. They both use 21 qubits, the first quantum circuit uses 55 Toffoli gates and 107 CNOT gates and the second one uses 37 Toffoli gates and 209 CNOT gates. As an example of the application of multiplication inverse, we apply these quantum circuits to the implementations of the S-box quantum circuit of the AES cryptographic algorithm. Two quantum circuits for implementing the S-box of the AES cryptographic algorithm are presented. The first quantum circuit uses 21 qubits, 55 Toffoli gates, 131 CNOT gates and 4 NOT gates and the second one uses 21 qubits, 37 Toffoli gates, 233 CNOT gates and 4 NOT gates. Through the evaluation of quantum cost, the two quantum circuits of the S-box of AES cryptographic algorithm use less quantum resources than the existing schemes.

AppQ: Warm-starting app recommendation based on view graphs

Current app ranking and recommendation systems are mainly based on user-generated information, e.g., number of downloads and ratings. However, new apps often have few (or even no) user feedback, suffering from the classic cold-start problem. How to quickly identify and then recommend new apps of high quality is a challenging issue. Here, a fundamental requirement is the capability to accurately measure an app’s quality based on its inborn features, rather than user-generated features. Since users obtain first-hand experience of an app by interacting with its views, we speculate that the inborn features are largely related to the visual quality of individual views in an app and the ways the views switch to one another. In this work, we propose AppQ, a novel app quality grading and recommendation system that extracts inborn features of apps based on app source code. In particular, AppQ works in parallel to perform code analysis to extract app-level features as well as dynamic analysis to capture view-level layout hierarchy and the switching among views. Each app is then expressed as an attributed view graph, which is converted into a vector and fed to classifiers for recognizing its quality classes. Our evaluation with an app dataset from Google Play reports that AppQ achieves the best performance with accuracy of 85.0%. The central challenge in massive machine-type communications (mMTC) is to connect a large number of uncoordinated devices through a limited spectrum. The typical mMTC communication pattern is sporadic, with short packets. This could be exploited in grant-free random access in which the activity detection, channel estimation, and data recovery are formulated as a sparse recovery problem and solved via compressed sensing algorithms. This approach results in new challenges in terms of high computational complexity and latency. We present how data-driven methods can be applied in grant-free random access and demonstrate the performance gains. Objective:Early predicting response before neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC)is crucial for personalized treatment plans for locally advanced breast cancer *** aim to develop a multi-task model using multiscale whole slide images(WSIs)features to predict the response to breast cancer NAC more ***:This work collected 1,670 whole slide images for training and validation sets,internal testing sets,external testing sets,and prospective testing sets of the weakly-supervised deep learning-based multi-task model(DLMM)in predicting treatment response and pCR to *** approach models two-by-two feature interactions across scales by employing concatenate fusion of single-scale feature representations,and controls the expressiveness of each representation via a gating-based attention ***:In the retrospective analysis,DLMM exhibited excellent predictive performance for the prediction of treatment response,with area under the receiver operating characteristic curves(AUCs)of 0.869[95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.806−0.933]in the internal testing set and 0.841(95%CI:0.814−0.867)in the external testing *** the pCR prediction task,DLMM reached AUCs of 0.865(95%CI:0.763−0.964)in the internal testing and 0.821(95%CI:0.763−0.878)in the pooled external testing *** the prospective testing study,DLMM also demonstrated favorable predictive performance,with AUCs of 0.829(95%CI:0.754−0.903)and 0.821(95%CI:0.692−0.949)in treatment response and pCR prediction,*** significantly outperformed the baseline models in all testing sets(P<0.05).Heatmaps were employed to interpret the decision-making basis of the ***,it was discovered that high DLMM scores were associated with immune-related pathways and cells in the microenvironment during biological basis ***:The DLMM represents a valuable tool that aids clinicians in selecting personalized treatment strategies for breast cancer patients.
