Analysis approaches of reachability decision is fundamental to Petri nets theory;however, the relevant research work in the past cannot always guarantee the correctness of analysis conclusions. This paper firstly reveals the root cause of wrong conclusions, which are drawn in analysis for deadlock of Petri nets based on modified reachability trees (MRT), and then proposes the rectified calculation of the next-state function and some corresponding definitions, which guarantee MRT's usefulness and correctness in analyzing reachability and deadlock of one-place unbounded Petri nets. Finally, a necessary and sufficient condition of MRT's reachability and the theoretical proof are presented. Examples are given to illustrate the method. © 2012 IEEE.

A combination of classifiers leads to a substantial reduction of classification errors in a wide range of applications. Among them, support vector machine (SVM) ensembles with bagging have shown better performance in classification than a single SVM. However, the training process of SVM ensembles is notably computationally intensive, especially when the number of replicated training datasets is large. This paper presents MRESVM, a MapReduce-based distributed SVM ensemble algorithm for scalable image annotation which re-samples the training dataset based on bootstrapping and trains an SVM on each dataset in parallel using a cluster of computers. A balanced sampling strategy for bootstrapping is introduced to increase the classification accuracy. MRESVM is evaluated in both experimental and simulation environments, and the results show that the MRESVM algorithm reduces the training time significantly while achieving a high level of accuracy in classifications. © 2013 Elsevier Ltd. In order to apply our high efficiency fibre-channel token-routing network (shortened as FC-TR network) to the field of materials simulation research, a new MPI parallel computing environment is proposed and designed, and independently developed a parallel programming environment FC-TR-MPI based on FC-TR network. In FC-TR-MPI, a new method was applied to point-to-point communication that the network communications between processes in the same computing node were changed into memory operations;moreover, according to the underlying software and hardware features of FC-TR network, new algorithms were proposed to optimize the communication performance of some collective communications. Experimental results show that, compared with ScaMPI parallel programming environment, FC-TR-MPI has a higher parallel efficiency and speedup.

This paper proposes a novel cross layer collaborating cache scheme for HTTP clients. It is designed to accelerate the process that an HTTP client retrieves Web content in mobile ad hoc network environment. Unlike other techniques to exploit Web proxy caching or to build P2P protocol overlay to improve HTTP, our scheme incorporates collaboratively working capability into the HTTP client response cache, and thus there is no impact on the compatibility of upper level applications. In addition, as the sharing file information is diffused with routing information, there is no redundant traffic to maintain the cooperating cache mechanism. Using this scheme, cacheable Web content can be distributed among local peers and retrieved later by a client if needed. In our simulation results, this novel cache scheme significantly decreases the latency experienced by a client to download Web content. © 2013 SERSC.

Resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rsfMRI) is a relatively new and an powerful method for evaluating regional interactions that occur when a participant is not performing an explicit task. Because of sensitiveness to time delay and length of time courses, respectively, traditional methods of correlation and coherence based on region of interest are not very suitable for rsfMRI. In this paper, we analyzed low frequency property of rsfMRI data. Firstly, we calculated the low frequency of resting-state Blood-Oxygenation-Level-Dependent(BOLD) signal on every voxel using Welch method, based on which we analyzed the statistical distribution cross subjects and voxels. The low frequency feature is proved by a series of experiments to be more robust and consistent comparing with coorelation in time domain and coherency in frequency domain. We found that the property of low frequency statistical distribution is dominant on narrow band, which is around 0.0137HZ. © 2012 IEEE.

Existing representative research achievement of the relevant literatures focused on two *** is how to improve the efficiency of attribute reduction algorithms in all attributes including the added properties. Such as the recursive algorithm to change conjunctive normal form into disjunctive normal form based on the boolean matrix and the algorithm based on radix sorting for computing core and reductions of a given information system, etc. On the other hand focus on the objects recursive algorithms. The drawback is that these methods have not fully use the knowledge gained when some attributes was added to a discussion on the domain. Therefore, the regularity of the core and reduction's changes under adding new attributes into a given information system were discussed. Moreover, the incremental reduction algorithms from a information system was proposed. The experiments show that these algorithms can quickly and exactly calculate new core and reduction of the new information system by taking advantage of the knowledge of the original information system. © 2012 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.

The table-manipulation method plays a important role in optimizing resource scheduling, scientifically location chosen, task assignment, investment distribution and so on. Most literatures introduction the table-manipulation method used to single thought pattern, for example, the algebra thought model, the shape thought model, or Computer software method, which cruse it is difficult to understand and apply. Therefore, a novel table-manipulation integration approach is proposed by combining the thought of algebra-shape-computer. IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee sensor networks support small power consumption and node expansion compared to other network standards for WSN. Body sensor networks (BSN) require a number of sensors for sensing medical information from human body, and low power consumption to monitor a patient's status for a long time. However, ZigBee has limited bandwidth and is thus hard to support real time data transmission because of the adoption of CSMA-CA as its medium access control (MAC) protocol. In this paper, we will analyze the reasonable number of nodes, size of payload and packet interval for best QoS for such network. It is found that an appropriate MAC parameters setting can improve the QoS compared to the default setting in IEEE 802.15.4 specification. The effective data rate, average end-to-end delay and packet delivery ratio are found via simulation for various network settings. The results are useful for the construction of ZigBee networks for patient monitoring and care. © 2012 IEEE.

With wafer revisit, it is complicated to schedule cluster tools in semiconductor fabrication. In wafer fabrication processes, such as atomic layer deposition (ALD), the wafers need to visit some process modules for a number of times. The existing swap-based strategy can be used to operate a dual-arm cluster tool for such a process. It results in a 3-wafer cyclic schedule. However, it is not optimal in the sense of cycle time. Thus, to search for a better schedule, a Petri net model is developed for a dual-arm cluster tool with wafer revisit. With it, the properties of the 3-wafer schedule are analyzed. It is found that, to improve the performance, it is necessary to reduce the number of wafers completed in a cycle. Thus, a 1-wafer schedule is developed by using a new swap-based strategy. © 2012 IEEE.
