Deep learning-based methods have shown their wide application prospects in the field of solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC)***,the irrationality of the prediction object and the lack of prediction accuracy have hindered the progress of the prediction methods for SOFC ***,two algorithms are proposed in this study,a feature selection algorithm based on maximum information coefficient and Bayesian information criterion for identifying key variables that are sensitive to changes in the SOFC system,and a prediction model based on a genetic algorithm optimized for sequence to sequence *** M/BIC algorithm reduces the number of features by 62.5%(from 40 to 15),which contributes to the acceleration of the algorithm training and the subsequent sensor layout *** prediction model incorporates a two-dimensional convolutional neural network and a multi-head attention mechanism to capture more information in the input sequence,an encoder-decoder architecture and a Gated recurrent unit to better predict performance *** with real experimental data show significant changes in feature dimensionality reduction and prediction accuracy.

A nitrogen oxide sensor that can accurately and quickly detect the content of nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas plays a key role in the treatment of automotive exhaust gas. Due to the characteristics of gas diffusion and chamber structure, nitrogen oxide sensors are difficult to achieve high-precision and fast measurement due to strong coupling. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a decoupling control strategy for nitrogen oxide sensors. On the one hand, the strategy uses fuzzy feedforward compensation, and on the other hand, it uses PID control based on particle swarm optimization to achieve control. This not only eliminates the coupling between loops, but also improves the control accuracy. The analysis shows that the design of the decoupling control strategy for nitrogen oxide sensors proposed in this paper is feasible, which allows the nitrogen oxide sensors to work in a stable and reliable state.

A dual-stream recurrence-attention network with global–local awareness for emotion recognition in textual dialog

In real-world dialog systems, the ability to understand the user’s emotions and interact anthropomorphically is of great significance. Emotion Recognition in Conversation (ERC) is one of the key ways to accomplish this goal and has attracted growing attention. How to model the context in a conversation is a central aspect and a major challenge of ERC tasks. Most existing approaches struggle to adequately incorporate both global and local contextual information, and their network structures are overly sophisticated. For this reason, we propose a simple and effective Dual-stream Recurrence-Attention Network (DualRAN), which is based on Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) and Multi-head ATtention network (MAT). DualRAN eschews the complex components of current methods and focuses on combining recurrence-based methods with attention-based ones. DualRAN is a dual-stream structure mainly consisting of local- and global-aware modules, modeling a conversation simultaneously from distinct perspectives. In addition, we develop two single-stream network variants for DualRAN, i.e., SingleRANv1 and SingleRANv2. According to the experimental findings, DualRAN boosts the weighted F1 scores by 1.43% and 0.64% on the IEMOCAP and MELD datasets, respectively, in comparison to the strongest baseline. On two other datasets (i.e., EmoryNLP and DailyDialog), our method also attains competitive results. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Edge networks are highly volatile and the quality of device communication and computational resources change not only over time but also according to the movement of users. Current federation learning suffers from poor device network state and failure of devices to upload models in a timely manner. To address these problems, an intelligent scheduling mechanism that uses the predicted device state based on device information to select the appropriate device for federated learning is proposed in this paper. By focusing on information such as communication quality, computational resources, and location information, the information of edge devices is collected to analyze and predict the device network and computing resources to further analyze the state of devices in depth. Experiments are conducted on real datasets, and the experimental results show that the proposed scheduling method can make the global model fit faster than without the algorithm, which significantly improves the training efficiency of federated learning. © 2023, ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.

Solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC) is a new energy power supply device that has been highly popular in recent years. It has the advantages of high efficiency, quietness, and no pollution. However, due to the long-term operation of the SOFC system in a high-temperature environment, various faults are inevitable, which will affect the normal operation of the system. Therefore,this paper mainly focuses on the rupture fault of the heat exchanger and the hydrogen shortage fault that occur during the operation of the SOFC. A novel method(PCA-RF) for SOFC system fault diagnosis is established by combining principal component analysis and random forest algorithm. This method not only has a simple process but also has high ***, this algorithm can well help researchers accurately identify whether there is a fault in the actual use scenario of the SOFC, so as to reduce or recover unnecessary losses.

This article addresses an adaptive tracking control problem for uncertain high-order fully actuated (HOFA) systems with unknown parameters and disturbances. Under the framework of backstepping, the unknown parameter is estimated and the external disturbance is handled by using adaptive control and H8 technique, respectively. Moreover, the Levant differentiator is employed to reduce the computation burden. Additionally, the boundedness of signals in the closed-loop system is proven using the Lyapunov theory. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed scheme is validated through the simulation study. © 2024 IEEE.

Accurate prediction of future traffic flow trends is essential to solve urban transportation problems. However, traffic flow prediction faces great challenges due to the multimodal nature of pedestrian behavior and the complexity of the traffic environment. Although a large number of studies have been conducted to investigate these issues in depth, there are still some limitations. In order to address these challenges more effectively, we propose a pedestrian trajectory prediction model based on long-short-term memory networks (LSTMs): the DIR-LSTM. The model introduces an innovative generalized direction mechanism and a self-attention mechanism, which captures pedestrian movement patterns more comprehensively and accurately by predicting overall directional movements first and then gradually subdividing them into individual directions of movement. The DIR-LSTM is designed to address the challenges posed by the diversity of pedestrian behaviors and the complexity of urban environments. To validate the state-of-the-art of the model, we conducted experiments using the publicly available ETH [10] and UCY [9] datasets. The experiments demonstrate that DIR-LSTM performs better in terms of accuracy compared to other models, providing a more reliable prediction tool for future urban traffic management. © 2023 ACM.

Vision Transformer Off-the-Shelf: A Surprising Baseline for Few-Shot Class-Agnostic Counting

Class-agnostic counting (CAC) aims to count objects of interest from a query image given few exemplars. This task is typically addressed by extracting the features of query image and exemplars respectively and then matching their feature similarity, leading to an extract-then-match paradigm. In this work, we show that CAC can be simplified in an extract- and-match manner, particularly using a vision transformer (ViT) where feature extraction and similarity matching are executed simultaneously within the self-attention. We reveal the rationale of such simplification from a decoupled view of the self-attention. The resulting model, termed CACViT, simplifies the CAC pipeline into a single pretrained plain ViT. Further, to compensate the loss of the scale and the order-of-magnitude information due to resizing and normalization in plain ViT, we present two effective strategies for scale and magnitude embedding. Extensive experiments on the FSC147 and the CARPK datasets show that CACViT significantly outperforms state-of-the-art CAC approaches in both effectiveness (23.60% error reduction) and generalization, which suggests CACViT provides a concise and strong baseline for CAC. The task of gland segmentation based on deep learning serves as a crucial auxiliary tool for diagnosing cancer. However, existing methods still exhibit shortcomings in handling gland adhesion and scale adaptability. To address these issues, we propose a gland segmentation approach that leverages morphological cues and multi-level feature fusion. By analyzing the morphological and imaging characteristics of glands, we have devised a novel scheme for label generation and loss weighting to guide model training. This scheme helps alleviate the challenge posed by the presence of adjacent glands and their adhesion. Additionally, by exploring the correlation between semantic features at different levels, we have developed a new feature fusion mechanism to mitigate issues related to model inaccuracies arising from variations in gland scales. Through experimental comparisons and discussions with classical and state-of-the-art methods, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed approach.
