The multi-section coupled transmission line is equivalent to the cascade of multi-section ladder impedance filters, which provides a basis for the research of broadband directional couplers and meets the needs of microwave systems. Using this method, a multi-section -15 dB stripline directional coupler was designed in the application frequency range of 0.7-3.7 GHz, and the directional coupler was improved by loading the branch compensation capacitor. And through the electromagnetic simulation software HFSS for simulation optimization. The simulation results show that the coupling degree of the coupler is about -15 dB in 0.7-3.7 GHz, the return loss is greater than 20 dB and the isolation is greater than 30 dB, the insertion loss is less than 0.33 dB, the in-band fluctuation is less than 1 dB, and the physical size is 38mm $\times 6$ mm, which meets the design requirements of the -15 dB coupler.

To effectively improve the frequency selectivity of the filter, a substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) filter with miniaturization and out-of-band rejection was designed. To achieve the desired filter response, symmetrical C-shaped resonators are etched on the top and bottom layers of the SIW filter. The C-shaped resonator etched on the top layer of SIW achieves miniaturization and filtering characteristics. In order to improve the frequency response, a two-stage SIW filter and a SIW filter with coupled gap-ring defected ground structure (CGRDGS) are proposed, and an equivalent circuit is given to verify the transmission response. The simulation results show that the filter achieves miniaturization, out-of-band rejection and low insertion loss, which can be used in 5G wireless communication The simulation results show that the filter achieves miniaturization, out-of-band rejection and low insertion loss, which can be used in 5G wireless communication.

In this paper, we design an algorithm to address the challenges of expensive multi-objective optimization problems by improving the surrogate model and sampling criterion. Firstly, we introduce a combined model which aims to enhance the impact of points that do not play a negative role, thus improving prediction accuracy. Subsequently, we develop two complementary indicators to accommodate various shapes of Pareto frontiers to better balance convergence and diversity in the sampling criterion. Experimental results on several benchmarks show that our proposed method is highly competitive in solving expensive multi-objective optimization problems compared to other state-of-the-art algorithms. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.

This study addresses the consensus problem for nonlinear multi-agent systems (MASs) under the exogenous disturbances over cooperation-competition networks. Firstly, for judging the disturbances produced by the exogenous environment, a disturbance observer-based approach is developed and incorporated into the controller. Secondly, two novel nonlinear control protocols depended on state feedback and output feedback control are constructed to guarantee consensus for MASs over the signed directed graph, respectively. Thirdly, theoretical guarantees on the effectiveness of the proposed controller in steering the system to a bipartite leader-following consensus with exogenous disturbances are derived. Finally, numerical simulations inspired by a real-world physical MAS are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed controllers. © 2021 IEEE

This paper explores the feasibility and effect of using ECG signals in response to virtual reality(VR) emotional stimuli for personality recognition. Personality represents an individual''s behavior pattern, so it has extensive research significance to identify personality. In the field of personality recognition, there have been researches on the use of physiological signals to recognize personality recently, but there have been no studies on personality recognition in VR scenarios. VR technology has been applied in many fields, and in the field of emotion recognition, the advantage of VR video as emotional arousal material has been proved. We designed the emotional stimulation experiment in VR scene to collect ECG signals, and constructed the personality recognition model. The results showed that the F1 scores of neuroticism, extraversion, openness, agreeableness and conscientiousness using only ECG were 0.79, 0.80, 0.81, 0.73 and 0.81, respectively, which were much higher than the random level. And we found that in VR scenes, negative emotional stimulation can achieve better personality recognition effect. Our results confirm the feasibility of personality recognition using ECG signals in response to VR emotional stimuli. © 2023 ACM.

Boosting polyp screening with improved point-teacher weakly semi-supervised

Polyps, like a silent time bomb in the gut, are always lurking and can explode into deadly colorectal cancer at any time. Many methods are attempted to maximize the early detection of colon polyps by screening, however, there are still face some challenges: (i) the scarcity of per-pixel annotation data and clinical features such as the blurred boundary and low contrast of polyps result in poor performance. (ii) existing weakly semi-supervised methods directly using pseudo-labels to supervise student tend to ignore the value brought by intermediate features in the teacher. To adapt the point-prompt teacher model to the challenging scenarios of complex medical images and limited annotation data, we creatively leverage the diverse inductive biases of CNN and Transformer to extract robust and complementary representation of polyp features (boundary and context). At the same time, a novel designed teacher–student intermediate feature distillation method is introduced rather than just using pseudo-labels to guide student learning. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate that our proposed method effectively handles scenarios with limited annotations and exhibits good segmentation performance. Depression has become a major global public health challenge. Social media texts reflect users’ emotional and psychological states, providing a valuable data source for depression detection through natural language analysis. However, current research still faces limitations in modeling the collaborative representation of user texts and dynamic behaviors. To address this, we propose MVDep, a model that integrates multi-view features to enhance social text representation for depression detection. Specifically, we enhance text representation by investigating depression from multi-view, including social media texts, user profiles, and social behaviors, enabling more effective depression detection. First, we conduct initial filtering of social media texts using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), and then screen out the uncertain domain of data samples based on the three-way decision (3WD). Next, we extract quantified user profiles and social behavioral features to enhance the representation of depression tendencies for uncertain domain samples. Finally, we fuse the multi-view features derived from social media texts, user profiles and social behaviors, improving the model’s ability to detect depression. We evaluate our model on the SWDD dataset, demonstrating its superiority over state-of-the-art baseline models in depression detection tasks. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

The Cauchy loss function is robust to large outliers and has successful applications in signal processing. In this paper, a DOA estimation algorithm based on adaptive zero technology is proposed, which updates the weight of the filter by applying the Cauchy loss function, and further improves the algorithm performance by using the variable step size method. The algorithm step size is adjusted by accumulating errors and establishing a nonlinear function with instantaneous errors. The DOA estimation ability, estimation error and accuracy of the improved Cauchy algorithm in the impulse noise environment are analyzed. The algorithm is verified by simulation experiments.

Andrew's Sine Estimator (ASE) has recently been used to invent adaptive filtering, which can combat more kind of noises than conventional estimators. Inspired by the LMS and its sparse forms, normalization and proportionate ASE algorithms with Lawson constraints are constructed with the respective given names of Lawson normalization ASE (LNASE) and Lawson proportionate NASE (LPNASE). Simulations are performed to analyze the performance of these algorithms under impulsive noise. © 2022 IEEE.

Alignment-free RGB-Thermal (RGB-T) salient object detection (SOD) aims to achieve robust performance in complex scenes by directly leveraging the complementary information from unaligned visible-thermal image pairs, without requiring manual alignment. However, the labor-intensive process of collecting and annotating image pairs limits the scale of existing benchmarks, hindering the advancement of alignment-free RGB-T SOD. In this paper, we construct a large-scale and high-diversity unaligned RGB-T SOD dataset named UVT20K, comprising 20,000 image pairs, 407 scenes, and 1256 object categories. All samples are collected from real-world scenarios with various challenges, such as low illumination, image clutter, complex salient objects, and so on. To support the exploration for further research, each sample in UVT20K is annotated with a comprehensive set of ground truths, including saliency masks, scribbles, boundaries, and challenge attributes. In addition, we propose a Progressive Correlation Network (PCNet), which models inter- and intra-modal correlations on the basis of explicit alignment to achieve accurate predictions in unaligned image pairs. Extensive experiments conducted on two unaligned three weakly aligned three aligned datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of our method.
