Bat algorithm (BA) is a novel intelligent optimization algorithm. In order to improve the poor local search capability of the algorithm, we present a new variant of bat optimization algorithm based on local centroid strategy (LCBA). Meanwhile, LEACH is a low energy adaptive clustering hierarchy algorithm for wireless sensor networks (WSN). And it has many disadvantages such as random selection of cluster head, taking no account of the remaining energy and position of nodes. To solve these problems, this paper proposes an improved LEACH protocol based on local centroid bat algorithm. The improved protocol divides the cluster head selection process into optimization of temporary cluster head and formal cluster head selection. First, we generate temporary cluster heads by traditional LEACH protocol, then optimize these cluster heads based on LCBA and select formal cluster heads according to the remaining energy of nodes. The result of experiment shows that, comparing with LEACH, LEACH-LCBA can balance the network load efficiently, improve the energy utilization, prolong the network lifetime.

In this paper, indirect adaptive sliding mode control schemes are developed to solve the robust fault tolerant control (FTC) design problem of actuator fault and perturbation compensations for linear time-invariant systems. While both eventual faults on actuators and perturbations are unknown, the adaptive schemes are addressed to estimate the upper bounds of perturbations online, as well as to estimate control effectiveness on actuators. Thus, on the basis of the information from adaptive schemes, an adaptive sliding mode controller is designed to compensate the effects of faults and perturbations automatically. According to Lyapunov stability theory, it is shown that both the reachability of sliding surfaces and the stability of sliding mode dynamics can be ensured even in the presence of actuator faults and disturbances. Moreover, the adaptive sliding mode control can reduce the phenomenon of chattering. An example is provided to further illustrate the fault compensation effectiveness.

La2O3 films are grown on Si (100) substrates by the radio-frequency magnetron sputtering technique. The band alignment of the La203/Si heterojunction is analyzed by the x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The valence- band and the conduction-band offsets of La2 Oa films to Si substrates are found to be 2.40±0.1 and 1.66±0.3 eV, respectively. Based on 0 ls energy loss spectrum analysis, it can be noted that the energy gap of La203 films is 5.18±0.2eV, which is confirmed by the ultra-violet visible spectrum. According to the suitable band offset and large band gap, it can be concluded that La2O3 could be a promising candidate to act as high-k gate dielectrics.

In order to further improve the overall disturbance rejection response when both input and output disturbances are taken into account, we present a design method based on the disturbance observer (DOB) control structure. In this paper, optimal analytical DOB design is provided under the combined 2-norm objective. Results show that the proposed observer can optimally eliminate the input/output disturbance with the best combined performance criterion.

Visual comfort is one of the important indexes to evaluate the image quality and viewing experience in the process of viewing stereoscopic video and images. This paper mainly investigated the effect of the main part size and disparity distribution type of stereoscopic images on visual comfort through two subjective evaluation experiments. The experiment results confirmed that the main part size and disparity space distribution type are two important factors which can affect visual comfort, and they also proved the influence trend of these factors on visual comfort in different disparity conditions. Our experiments have important guiding significance for the establishment and improvement of the relevant objective evaluation experimental model and acquisition and display technology of stereoscopic images.

In coking process, the production quality, equipment life, energy consumption, and process safety are all influenced by the pressure in gas collector pipe of coke oven, which is frequently influenced by *** main control objectives for the gas collector pressure system are keeping the pressures in collector pipes at appropriate operating point. In this paper, model predictive control(MPC) strategy is introduced to control the collector pressure system due to its ability to handle constraint and good control performance. Based on a method proposed to simplify the system model, an extended state space model predictive control is designed,which combines the feedforward strategy to eliminate the disturbance. The simulation results in a system with two coke ovens show the feasibility and effectiveness of the control scheme.
