Pickup vehicle scheduling in the steel logistics park is a critical issue in determining the outbound effciency of steel products. Steel products are distributed in the yards of the steel logistics park with mixed storage, and the optional yards for each pickup operation are not unique, which greatly increases the scheduling complexity. To overcome this challenge, in this paper, we propose a pickup vehicle scheduling problem with mixed steel storage (PVSP-MSS) to optimize makespan of pickup vehicle and makespan of steel logistics park simultaneously. The optimization problem is described as a multi-objective problem, and an enhanced Strength Pareto Evolutionary Algorithm 2 (ESPEA) is proposed to solve the problem with high efficiency. Experiments are executed based on data collected from a real steel logistics park. The results confirm that ESPEA can significantly reduce both makespan of each pickup vehicle and makespan of steel logistics park. © 2023 IEEE.

In the task of path planning, the unmanned surface vessels (USV) are required to reach the destination while avoiding obstacle. However, it is difficult for USV to prioritize the two sub-target tasks of destination arrival and obstacle avoidance in a complex dynamic environment using traditional path planning methods. Based on the above considerations, a path planning method for USVs based on strategy integration is proposed. Firstly, the path planning scenario containing dynamic obstacles and two sub-target scenarios are set up. In order to strengthen its ability to reach the destination and avoid dynamic obstacles, the dynamic obstacles and the destination are removed separately in the two sub-target scenarios. Furthermore, the model for strategy selection is trained on action decisions in sub-target scenarios through double deep Q-Network with prioritized experience replay. Finally, a framework for strategy integration is designed to optimize strategy selection for USV. The simulation results show that the proposed method achieves a good overall performance and a higher path planning success rate than the traditional path planning method. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Quasi delay insensitive (QDI) circuits, as a type of asynchronous circuits, have unique advantages such as high robustness, low power consumption, and event driven, so they have the potential to be applied in fields such as Network-on-Chip (NoC). However, due to the lack of supporting EDA tools, designing QDI circuits is difficult, resulting in limited application. This article proposes a systematic FPGA-based QDI circuit design methodology based on existing EDA tools, and designs a QDI router according to the proposed methodology. The designed QDI router reduces power consumption by 52.1% and latency by 19.7% compared to synchronous router with similar structure.

Steel plates are highly customized according to different customer demands. In this case, the outbound date, the specifications of the steel plates and the distribution of stacks must be simultaneously considered when the steel plates are stored in the yard. Improper storage of steel plates significantly increases the number of shuffles during outbound operations. To overcome the challenge, we propose an efficient steel plate storage scheme based on the actual scenario of existing steel plate distribution in the yard. Firstly, a model for steel plate storage scheduling is established to minimize the number of extra blocking plates. Then, three heuristic algorithms are designed to solve the problem. Comparative experiments are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. The experimental results show that the proposed method can sufficiently improve the efficiency of steel plates scheduling. © 2023 IEEE.

To solve the problem of boarding pass positioning with image tilt and sticking, we proposed a jointly boarding pass positioning and correction algorithm using multi-channel color components. First, a local threshold segmentation is performed on red and blue components in RGB color space to determine the general area of the boarding pass. Then, edge detection is performed on the blue component and pixel value standardization statistics on the three components to obtain partial edges and internal information of the boarding pass to refine the binary image. Next, the watershed algorithm is used to achieve precise positioning of the boarding pass. Finally, the segmentation and the boarding pass are completely rectified through perspective transformation. The results of segmentation and correction of boarding passes in actual scenarios show that the proposed algorithm can complete segmentation and correction under complex conditions such as boarding pass images sticking to each other, uneven illumination, and large-angle tilt. The average time spent on the test set is 0.049s, and the segmentation and correction success rate is 95.16 %. The efficient management of storage has become a critical determinant of operational efficiency due to the growing and diverse demand for steel logistics parks. However, the current storage methods consistently result in significant imbalances in the loading of steel products and operating times across multiple yards. To address this challenge, we propose optimizing the distribution of steel products based on demand levels and retrieval efficiency. Firstly, we present an optimization problem that employs demand-driven storage principles to formulate the scheduling of steel product storage. Then, we introduce a novel algorithm called the Adaptive Preferred Evolutionary Heuristic (APEH) to tackle this problem. The results from our experiments indicate that this model effectively enhances the storage structure, and the proposed algorithm consistently yields optimal solutions within a reasonable timeframe. © 2023 IEEE.

In the electronic industry product quality control, PCB defect detection is a crucial part, which has the characteristics of small defect size and high similarity. The existing defect detection methods are still not good enough for detecting small target defects;therefore, the algorithm in this paper proposes an improved algorithm for PCB defect detection based on the RetinaNet model. The ResNet-D residual structure and efficient channel focus module are introduced in the model backbone network to enhance its feature extraction capability and achieve the purpose of improving the detection accuracy. At the same time, the method replaces the original multi-step learning decay strategy with a cosine annealing scheduling learning strategy, which optimizes the training process of the model. Finally, the performance of the method is verified on the publicly available PCB defect dataset from the Open laboratory of Intelligent Robotics, Peking University. The experimental results show that the algorithm improves the mAP value by 3.2% compared with the original algorithm, while the fastest detection speed reaches 36.9 FPS, which can effectively improve the defect detection performance of PCB. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

It is well known that people who know the presence of network viruses will defend against them, and the more computer viruses are detected and the more measures are taken. However, most previous computer virus propagation models have completely ignored the saturation effect. This paper investigates how the saturation effect impacts the transmission of electronic virus. For this purpose, a new transmission model of network virus is proposed, in which the virus is not very prevalent. Under certain conditions, there is a global asymptotical stable equilibrium point with no virus in this model. Finally, we give several numerical examples to exhibit that sufficient saturation effect is greatly conducive to containing network viruses. © 2024 IEEE.

The distributed fault-tolerant consensus control using k-step hierarchical protocol for linear multi-agent system (MAS) is studied in this note. Unlike most existing fault-tolerant methods for compensating actuator fault, a hierarchical protocol consisting of a virtual layer and a actual layer that considers both fault compensation and introducing fault information into the trajectory planning process which means that the motion of the MAS does not exceed the fault-tolerant compensation range of the faulty agent is proposed. Trajectory planning is responsible for the virtual layer consisting of virtual agent system and a co-controller that introduces fault information. The actual layer, consisting of the actual agent system, actuator fault observer, and tracking trajectory controller, traces the virtual layer for consensus. It is shown that the integrity of the MAS is guaranteed. Finally, the validity of the developed protocols is illustrated by simulation examples. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
