Considering the complexity of effectiveness evaluation index of reconnaissance satellite system (RSS), the cloud model theory and AHP method are combined. A fuzzy evaluation method of combat effectiveness based on cloud model is proposed. A multi-layer evaluation index system is constructed through the AHP method, and the weight of each level index is calculated. Combining the multi-dimensional cloud model with the AHP method, a quantitative fuzzy evaluation method for qualitative indicators and quantitative data is designed, and the qualitative evaluation results are obtained. The experimental results show that the proposed evaluation method can effectively realize the fuzzy quantitative evaluation under the complex evaluation index system with good performance in terms of calculation accuracy and fuzziness. © 2021 IEEE.

In this paper, An elliptical patch dipole antenna with resistive loading and parasitic structure is proposed. By loading the parasitic structure, the height of the antenna is reduced. The overall dimensions of the antenna are $0.16\lambda_{0}\times 0.08\lambda_{0}\times 0.03\lambda_{0}$ , and $\lambda_{0}$ is the free-space wavelength at the lowest frequency. By loading large reflective floors, the proposed antenna achieves a good unidirectional radiation performance in the whole frequency band from 0.18 GHz to 2 GHz with a $\text{VSWR} < 2$ , and an in-band peak gain of up to 7.41 dBi is obtained. It is a good candidate antenna for ground-penetrating radar.

Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence technology accelerates technological progress and promotes social development, but also brings many security problems. Machine learning models may be affected, deceived, controlled or destroyed at different stages, e.g. training and inference, which may lead to serious consequences. In view of the main stages of the life cycle of machine learning, we summarizes the related attack and defense technologies based on threat matrix, makes a comprehensive and systematic analysis on the security issues of machine learning, and puts forward several security protection suggestions for intelligent information systems.

Research on flame classification and recognition based on object detection and similarity fusion

The color, shape, and other appearance characteristics of the flame emitted by different flame engines are different. In order to make a preliminary judgment on the category of the device to which it belongs through studying exterior characteristics of the flame, this paper uses the flame of matches, lighters, and candles to simulate different types of flames. It is hoped that the flames can be located and classified by detecting the characteristics of flames using the object detection algorithm. First, different types of fire are collected for the dataset of experiments. The mmDetection toolbox is then used to build several different object detection frameworks, in which the dataset can be trained and tested. The object detection model suitable for this kind of problem is obtained through the evaluation index analysis. The model is ResNet50-based faster-region-convolutional neural network(Faster R-CNN), whose mean average-precision(mAP) is 93.6%. Besides, after clipping the detected flames through object detection, a similarity fusion algorithm is used to aggregate and classify the three types of flames. Finally, the color components are analyzed to obtain the red, green, blue(RGB) color histograms of the three flames.

In the realm of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) tracking, Siamese-based approaches have gained traction due to their optimal balance between efficiency and precision. However, UAV scenarios often present challenges such as insufficient sampling resolution, fast motion and small objects with limited feature information. As a result, temporal context in UAV tracking tasks plays a pivotal role in target location, overshadowing the target’s precise features. In this paper, we introduce MT-Track, a streamlined and efficient multi-step temporal modeling framework designed to harness the temporal context from historical frames for enhanced UAV tracking. This temporal integration occurs in two steps: correlation map generation and correlation map refinement. Specifically, we unveil a unique temporal correlation module that dynamically assesses the interplay between the template and search region features. This module leverages temporal information to refresh the template feature, yielding a more precise correlation map. Subsequently, we propose a mutual transformer module to refine the correlation maps of historical and current frames by modeling the temporal knowledge in the tracking sequence. This method significantly trims computational demands compared to the raw transformer. The compact yet potent nature of our tracking framework ensures commendable tracking outcomes, particularly in extended tracking scenarios. Comprehensive tests across four renowned UAV benchmarks substantiate the superior efficacy of our approach, delivering real-time performance at 84.7 FPS on a single GPU. Real-world test on the NVIDIA AGX hardware platform achieves a speed exceeding 30 FPS, validating the practicality of our method. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Range gate pull-off (RGPO) Jamming disrupts tracking capability of radar system by strategically increasing the latency of radar signal. Hence this kind of active deception jamming is widely adopted. The quantitative assessment and evaluation of RGPO Jamming effects on radar systems is of great significance for enhancing radar anti-jamming capabilities. However, difficulties exist in establishing a mathematical model for analyzing the jamming effects through theoretical analyses. Both the complexity of different radar systems and randomness of radar tracking processes add to this challenge. These factors result in substantial workload to analyze jamming effects. Considering these challenges, a modelling method for RGPO effects on radar based on digital simulation results is introduced in this study. Firstly, the radar range tracking model was established. Through the qualitative analyses of the process of RGPO jamming effect and the principle of affecting the tracking loop, it was found that the rate of a successful pulling off would show a precipitous drop after the pulling speed exceeds a certain threshold. This conclusion was verified in the simulation results of the RGPO effect simulation system. On this basis, to build the relationship between the maximum pull-off speed and the Jamming-to-Signal Ratio (JSR), a modelling method based on spline interpolation and least squares fitting was proposed in this study. The work contributes to a deeper understanding of the impact of RGPO Jamming on radar tracking, and provides valuable insights for bolstering radar countermeasures.

IEEE 802.11 Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is a popular way for mobile devices to access the Internet. Operators and service providers often increase the density of wireless access points in order to provide users with better connections and user experience. As a result, WLAN users find themselves covered by multiple access points. In traditional wireless multi-hotspot networks most user terminals choose the access point with the strongest signal without considering the existing load on that access point, leading to severe congestion and load imbalance problems. This paper proposes an improved NSGA-II-based load balancing strategy for wireless multi-hotspot networks, which determines which hotspot should be associated with each user terminal by taking into account the current access point load, the received signal strength and the throughput size of the user terminal. The simulation results show that compared with the traditional strongest signal First (SSF) strategy, the proposed load balancing strategy can improve the network throughput by more than 30%. © 2022 IEEE.

Polarization and waveform optimization can significantly improve the detection ability of fully polarized radar. However, in practical scenarios, atmospheric particles frequently induce depolarization effects on radar waves, thereby influencing precise target detection, a phenomenon predominantly observed with raindrop particles. This paper establishes a target detection model for fully polarized radar in rainy condition. Subsequently, a joint transceiver iterative optimization algorithm is devised, utilizing the maximum output signal-to-interference plus noise ratio (SINR) of the system as the benchmark, and imposing dual constraints of energy and resemblance on the transmitting waveform. Ultimately, the effectiveness of the proposed method under rainy condition is validated through simulation, and recommendations for engineering applications are provided based on the analysis. © The Institution of Engineering & technology 2023.

This paper investigates the problem of adaptive detection of distributed targets in power heterogeneous clutter. In the considered scenario, all the data share the identical structure of clutter covariance matrix, but with varying and unknown power mismatches. To address this problem, we iteratively estimate all the unknowns, including the coordinate matrix of the target, the clutter covariance matrix, and the corresponding power mismatches, and propose three detectors based on the generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT), Rao and the Wald tests. The results from simulated and real data both illustrate that the detectors based on GLRT and Rao test have higher probabilities of detection (PDs) than the existing competitors. Among them, the Rao test-based detector exhibits the best overall detection performance. We also analyze the impact of the target extended dimensions, the signal subspace dimensions, and the number of training samples on the detection performance. Furthermore, simulation experiments also demonstrate that the proposed detectors have a constant false alarm rate (CFAR) property for the structure of clutter covariance matrix. © 2024, CC BY.

Frequency diverse array(FDA) offer potential applications for enhancing the RF safety performance of FDA systems. This is due to the time-varying angle-distance coupling characteristics of the transmit beam map, which are caused by small frequency shifts between subarray elements. In this paper, we investigate the impact of coherent FDA signals on amplitude-based direction-finding systems, taking the Watson-Watt direction-finding system as an example. Firstly, we establish receiving model for direction finding of FDA signals. Secondly, we evaluate the error of the direction-finding system when using coherent FDA signals and analyze it with the Cramér-Rao lower bound(CRLB). Finally, we conduct a simulation analysis to validate the proposed theory. Both the theoretical analysis and simulation results demonstrate that coherent FDA signals can improve the radio frequency(RF) stealth performance. Specifically, the analysis and simulation results reveal that coherent FDA signals exhibit superior low-intercept performance for the Watson-Watt direction-finding system. These findings can be applied to all amplitude direction-finding systems.
